And the to-go option and service is fantastic - throughout the pandemic we've ordered takeout almost weekly, and they're always prompt and considerate. One small touch that's great? I've been coming to this place since it opened. The new owner keeps dumbing down the menu. My husband and I eat the same two or three items. The wait staff is great but the kitchen can't read. Salad came out 2 minutes before meal and food was cold, chips were the only thing hot. Asked for no coleslaw came out with it. Coleslaw all over fish. This is the 3rd time with bad food. We've been coming to CDH for the past couple of years to play pool and sometimes get a bite to eat. Unfortunately, the service is sometimes good but usually bad. Frequently we have been completely ignored by staff for seated bar customers, even though we arrived before them. This last experience was one of the worst, first customers to walk in the bar area and again completely ignored for 30 minutes. We had to walk to the bar twice and request that our food order be taken. We were told, I'll be right over. That of course did not occur. I will say that the food is consistently good and the drinks too, however the pool/bar service is awful. It doesn't surprise me that I've never seen a manager talking to customers to ask about their meals or service. read more

I would of given 5 stars just not crazy about Rosemary in mozzarella stick breading, Rosemary on Texas Toast and herbed butter. Fried shrimp needed a tad more cooking. Steak was cooked to perfection. We had horrible service, along with attitude. We waited 40 minutes to be seated so we were expecting good food. After we sat down we had to wait a long time to order drinks and then they took forever to bring them. Mind you, they were only sodas and tea. When we did order it took over an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. It was 9 of us total. Our food came out 2 plates at a time, then the last one. By the time the last person got their food the first was almost done. Two of us got the fish sandwiches, bread was horrible and we couldn't eat it. Fries were cold on ALL plates and fish was warm at best. After waiting so long you would think the food would be piping hot. They never once acted as if waiting so long was unusual. I maybe could understand and forgive if it had been extremely busy, but it wasn't; and then it wasn't even worth the wait. Very disappointing. Will not return. read more

I arrived about 7:45 PM on a Sunday evening. I was greeted at the hostess station and promptly seated. The waitress greeted me within 2 minutes. After her initial introduction she came back in about 5 or 6 minutes to get my order. I ordered the Cowboy burger, fries, coleslaw, a Pepsi, and a beer (Carolina Pale Ale) . It arrived in 10 minutes. I thought i would give Cleveland Draft house another chance after not going for 2 years. Well... it will probably be 2 more years before I go back. I ordered 2 meals for take-out. I got the steak and cucumber pita. When I arrived at home and opened the container, I was very disappointed in what I saw. There was a lot of steak but only 1.5 slices of cucumber and 2 slivers of onions and NO ranch dressing. Whoever is cooking should know better. read more

We like to go to the Cleveland Draft house when we are in the area. They have a great beer selection and a huge menu. We have had the fried pickles (yum), blackened chicken pasta (which was not great), fish and chips (awesome), raider burger (great topping but extremely over cooked), hurricane burger (great toppings but extremely over cooked). So far our food experiences have been hit or miss. Tonight we had burgers and they were ordered medium and medium rare but came out extremely well done. Even though the food has been all over the place, I know we will be back because the staff is pretty awesome. I just hope next time the food is all good! read more

Burgers are always good as well as the fries and onion rings. I think last night was my first getting the ribs, listed as a Signature Dish. They were perfect. Meaty, fall of the bone, and flavorful. With fries and cole slaw, a very good value for the price of half rack. It was enough that I could share 2 ribs with my daughter. Kids menu is pretty standard, but good and a good price with drink included. Some menu items have been hit or miss. I have not been a fan of the cold sandwiches. We got seated on the other side and it was nice. It wasn't overly noisy. My husband ordered the raider burger and he loved it. He couldn't finish it, the portion size was large. I had the rack of ribs and when they came out I was amazed for a rack of ribs they were huge. I took most of mine to go and ordered that nights special to go also which was the chicken and pastry. Since living 5 minutes away I decided to try this restaurant for the first time for dinner. The wait was only about 15 minutes, received our food in about 25. The food looks pretty tasty, other than the fact that my burger had seemed a little burnt tasting the first few bites and a little dry. The service was decent, I ran out of water twice. My fiancé loved the ribs, and the potato skins(mozzarella sticks were also good). .... I came with high expectations based on everybody's recommendations. My wife and I were so disappointed with the food quality. No problems with the beer selection. But we also came with an appetite. Fried pickles were undercooked and lacked any real flavor. My wife ordered a black and blue salad with blue cheese dressing. It came with ranch dressing. We even told the waitress and she didn't correct the issue until we asked for a to go box and the blue cheese dressing she requested. I ordered a small Caesar salad and the steak ribeye medium rare with a baked potato. The waitress and asked me twice how I wanted my steak cooked. The Caesar salad was served on the same plane as the steak and potato and was not properly dressed. Baked potato was on the verge of being under cooked as well. The steak actually had good flavor, but I had to cut through more fat than I felt a ribeye should have. I'm looking for a good marbling and I revised egg not half inch of fat on the edge. I have left my I.D in this bar so many time it's not even funny and i think a review is long over due. this is just a great place to pre-game on a Friday or Saturday night. it's spacious , clean and has a great staff. the bar is well stocked and the food is great.(try the spicy Buffalo shrimp) There is also a family area on the other side of the building for larger parties or for the one's who just want to eat with the family away from the excitement of the bar. there are a few poole tables there and of-course darts.. a bar just isn't a bar with-out darts. Came here for lunch on New Years Day expecting the same menu as Bass Lake Draft House (I thought they were owned by the same people, and they probably are, but there's a slightly different menu). We opted to sit at the bar since we were kid free. Bartender was great...she was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the hubby enjoyed his Bloody Mary. I ordered the french dip which is what I always order at Bass Lake and it was a little smaller & tougher than what I'm used to, but still tasty. Fries were good. Hubby enjoyed his Reuben with a side of cheese fries (only $1.50 to upgrade from regular fries to cheese fries). Since we travel Hwy 42 regularly, I'm sure we'll be back when hungry & near the 40/42 interchange, especially since there aren't a lot of options other than fast food in the "Cleveland" area of Johnston County. read more
