I recently saw a Groupon for Cleveland Steamer and called to see if they would come to my house since I was am on the cusp of their coverage area. The lady who answered the phone was very polite and helpful and offered me a better deal since I had one less room of carpet than the Groupon was for. I scheduled my appointment with her and was not pressured on any up-sale. The crew called the day of the appointment and gave me an accurate ETA. Upon arrival the gentlemen were very friendly and worked very efficiently. From start to finish they were at my house for one hour. Our carpets look brand new and smell great! Had a company come out from one of the Market Magazines that was located out of Streetsboro and is advertising in my market. The guy from that magazine showed up in "A HONDA FIT" to clean my carpets and not only did he use orange home depot buckets to water my carpet, but his company trashed my carpets, left puddles of dirty water through my home and never cleaned areas that he pre-treated leaving white spotting throughout my home and left after charging me for things they never did. I called Cleveland Steamer in a panic and they had someone out to my home right away within the hour and my carpets smell and look amazing and Dan the tech showed me everything he was doing as he did it. This place did not live up to what they promised. They had a "move in" special. They told me that they don't only do carpet cleaning, but that they would clean and sanitize the kitchen and the bathrooms the floors, etc. Everything you expect to be done when you move into a place. The guy told me over the phone, just relax and don't worry. We will take care of everything. It will be cleaned, sanitized and move in ready for you. Well they did a good job washing the walls and cleaning the air vents other than that... There were still cobwebs in some of the closets, underneath all of the appliance were black. There was still dirty greasy contact paper in the kitchen drawers and cabinets from the previous owners. I would have at least expected the carpets to be clean, nope not even that. I bought a steam cleaner and am doing it myself. There are streaks of dirt coming out of the carpet. I've steamed my own carpets before and haven't seen that. And let me mention that there was absolutely nothing in this condo when they came to clean, not us, not furniture, no pets (previous tenants did not have pets either) We were totally ripped off. The price quoted on the phone we were charged $200 more when they "looked at the place". Mind you I told them the square footage and everything before. We were desperate because we had new everything coming. I would stay as far away from this company as possible. They are horrible!!!! If you actually want anything clean, I would call a maid service. They will charge you and actually do the work. No we did not call them back to give them another opportunity to "clean". I was completely disgusted by the job they did. We used 3 big containers of clorox wipes to clean after they supposedly cleaned and sanitized everything. I was disgusted. This was the biggest ripoff I've ever had to deal with.
