My wife and I found owner, Douglas Chalk, selling his clocks at a pop up tent at the Embarcadero in San Francisco, CA. The displayed clocks were all very interesting and different. I was immediately drawn to two of them for one of my sons. My wife also took and interest in a a couple of the designs and sizes, but was having difficulties choosing a favorite. Douglas pulled out a few more clocks for my wife to look at, that were not on display table. Again, she was having a hard time deciding. Then Douglas said that he had a clock which he thought my wife would like the best. After showing her the clock, my wife was sold, especially after after Douglas said that he could make into the large size. We ended up purchasing 4 clocks, a small flower, a small and medium Saturn, and a large Sun and Moon. Update. I finally spoke with Eva and she sent me out a few clocks. They really are unique. Unfortunately one of the clocks was defective as it was separating on the bottom inside (very hard to see). I called and Eva was very quick to say she would replace it and was very sorry. Also the other clocks color was not as bright as it was when I saw it at the show. Eva said she will replace that as well. I decided to go with another design and she was very accommodating. Once I receive the new clocks I will update my review. I give Eva 5 stars for her willingness to resolve the issues. read more

I must write a review on my two clocks I have purchased. They are both magnificent and so wonderfully made. I just love them as they are so unique. I purchased one for me and the other for my son who loves unusual clocks. I got the first one at a wonderful art fair in Washington state. I talked to the maker himself and was so impressed by his sincerity and his genuine caring attitude so I ordered another that he had run out of that day. The ordered clock came wrapped so fabulously that it was in perfect condition when I received it. After I had ordered the clock and had returned to Arizona, I decided to look at the reviews of this shop. I was aghast to see what a few people had said. It is all untrue and this is a wonderful shop with a great amount of integrity as he would not charge my card until the clock was delivered and okay. I discussed the poor reviews and he said these people were unbelievably hard to work with and didn't even recognize the correct way to hang the clock which is why it did not look as if it were working. I purchased two clocks from this company at a street fair several years ago. They arrived many months after delivery was promised. Shortly after the clocks were delivered,one fell apart. The company picked up the defective clock and again after many months, rather than shipping it, delivered it to the lobby of my workplace without taking note of the individual they handed it to. Brilliant to hand it to someone randomly in the lobby. I never received it. Big surprise. I've been at my workplace for 13 years and never had anything delivered properly go missing. After filing a complaint with the BBB, the company sent me a check for a portion of the purchase price. They subsequently closed the checking account and refused to issue another check. There are many clock manufacturers around. Although these look nice, they are fragile. Avoid the headache of dealing with an irresponsible and poorly run company. read more
