New shower and shower door. Completely redone.
    Pete F.

We had a major leak in the shower in our basement that seeped under the wood flooring in the adjacent room, causing it to buckle and swell. We needed a contractor and we needed one fast. Several companies responded to us and many of them gave us prices that were laughable, others gave us the run around with timelines, a few gave us both. Alan came by the house a day after we contacted him and came in with an honest, reasonable price and an honest timeline. We were a little worried that it was too good to be true, but that proved to not be the case. Alan ensured that the team came quickly. He helped us select the material. He ensured that the job was done on time and done right. Truth be told, the damage was due to many shortcuts that were taken by the previous owner when he installed the bathroom in the basement while getting ready to sell the house. Alan showed us what was done wrong and made sure to take a few extra precautions to ensure we would never have a problem like that again. He also gave us a warranty on the work, which put our minds at ease. The work was done very nicely, and while it wasn't our initial intent, it surely added to the value of our house. I absolutely recommend this company to anyone who plans on doing work on their home. They get things done right and on schedule.

Top - old kitchen, Bottom - New Kitchen layout

We hired Alan with Click Construction to remodel the interior of our home. Work included replacing all the windows, patio door, replacing carpet and hardwood on 3 levels, painting the entire interior, laminating our ceilings to remove the textured ceilings, knocking down wall and remodeling our kitchen with all new cabinets, hardware, backsplash, countertops, and adding some additional recessed lighting. Workmanship was good and the price was within our budget. Click's estimate was about 40% less than another design build company for just our kitchen and wood floor replacement. With Click, we were able to do the kitchen plus a lot of other work as noted above. Happy with the end result! I would recommend them if you need home remodeling or renovations.

Click construction did our shower remodel, they helped us with the design, and were always in communication with us. The subcontractors Raul and Fransisco were amazing. Always on time, cleaned up after each work day, very polite and they did an amazing job.

    unfinished basement

Basement Remodel We recently moved from CA to Leesburg VA, and moved into a 20 year old home. The basement was unfinished, and I knew that I wanted to get it done soon and done right. After speaking to a few GCs, I found Alan on Yelp, and we met a few times to review the project. It was clear to me that Alan's company specialized in basement work at all levels, and was confident that he could deliver on what he had discussed. Pricing was very good- right where I expected. The basement is about 1200 sq feet, with about 200sq ft unfinished HVAC area. My goal was a simple and clean design, with a few extra touches to make it cozy and fun for the family. The project spanned about 2 months, during COVID as well. From day 1, Alan was clear with the project scope and deliverables, and we had everything lined up in the contract. All permits were delivered on time, and we passed all inspections along the way. The workers arrived on time each day, and I spent time with them to ensure everything was clear. They were very easy to work with and very professional, I was impressed at the workmanship and attention to detail. Throughout the project Alan was great at keeping in touch, and visited the job site often to review details. We worked together to land on decisions for flooring, paint, lighting, and detail work. All the trades that visited were excellent and I would work them again. The result was a clean and comfortable space that my family will enjoy for years to come. We worked in some special details such as an under-stair nook and bookshelves, that make the space feel custom and fun. Working with Click/Alan exceeded my expectations all around, and I would highly recommend him for any future work.

Workers did a great job. Remodeling took double time he said it was. Floors were incorrect. Not good communication afterwards.

We are so glad we found Justin. It is so difficult to get responses from contractors these days…read more Justin was super responsive, gave us a well thought out and reasonable estimate, and he and is crew were very friendly and helpful. I'm most impressed by the attention to detail. I was given options on even very small things and the team followed up on small cosmetic things, but which made the overall project beautiful, with the cabinet manufacturer. Cleanup was fantastic. Our new mud room and laundry room are beautiful and we look forward to using Callabrase again for all our home improvement projects.

The tub in the master was converted into a walk-in shower. New electrical and ventilation were added. The owner Justin was great to work with, communicated almost daily, and stopped by the house frequently to check on the progress of the work and answer any questions or concerns I had. Selvin the team lead is a true craftsman, knows his stuff, and clearly takes pride in the quality of his work. Others on the team worked equally hard and they have all been with Calabrese for at least 10 years. I was pleased to see the company take their time and do a quality job instead of a rushed one like you often see. They addressed each of my concerns and the results speak for themself. Now if only the rest of the house was a nice as my new bathrooms!

I asked what cabinet distributors they used and she couldn't give me a name, she said they use many. I then asked what the difference would be between getting a particular cabinet color (not knowing what my options were or what would be in stock without a company name), and she said custom vs semi custom are just words and that it's all pretty much custom so it wouldn't make a difference. Upon asking a few more questions, she proceeded to tell me "I'm not sure if you saw, but our company has almost a 5-star review and that's almost unheard of". I didn't know what to make of it, but considering what some of their reviews mentioned, I felt as though we were going to get the same treatment. She said she'd get back to me by Friday with a quote and a visual of the kitchen updates-- it was Tuesday that day. We gave her a call that Friday afternoon to follow up and she insisted that the cabinet company was taking a while and that she'd get back to us by Monday the latest if not over the weekend. We waited and got nothing so my husband called her the following Wednesday without ever hearing from her. She continued to reassure us that she hasn't forgotten about us and that she'd get back to us by Monday for sure. It's now been 21 days and we got no updates or any communication from them. It's clear that this is a pattern for them and I'd advise someone looking to get work done by someone reliable and honest to look elsewhere.

From day one, the owner UE impressed us with his knowledge, attention to details and creative suggestions. He personally came out to discuss our project and even helped us stay within our budget. The project managers, Starlyn and Kenia, were both fantastic -- super responsive, organized, and just a joy to work with. We texted and called throughout the process and they always made sure everything was on track. The crew was awesome -- very respectful, clean, and clearly proud of their work. They finished ahead of schedule and the quality blew us away. It's so rare to find a remodeling team that delivers this level of professionalism, craftsmanship, and genuine care. If you're thinking about any home renovation, we 100% recommend Langley Remodeling. We're already planning to work with them again!

Let me first start by saying if you are looking for a company to do a remodeling project, large or…read moresmall, we highly recommend calling Langley Remodeling. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. We moved into our home nearly 9 years ago with a completely unfinished basement, and we were ready to build our dream basement. We first contacted a contractor that we had previously used and whose work we were happy with but as circumstances would have it and several months later with no progress, we parted ways with him and began our search for someone new. After scouring the internet and reading multiple reviews, we decided on our top 3 companies to interview. In the end, we decided on Langley, and we are so happy we chose them. From the very beginning, you feel like a valued customer. They responded promptly to my initial inquiry and later that evening we were talking to UE, the president of the company, about our project. UE was very friendly, patient, and transparent about how their company works and explained in detail their process from the design to the construction. We knew what we wanted in our basement, but it was the design where we most needed direction. When UE first came out to our house, he spent more time than any of the other contractors we had interviewed going over our project and taking measurements, photos and video of our basement. He promised one of his designers would be contacting us in a couple of weeks because they were finishing up other projects; however, Pinar, our designer, reached out to us within a week and immediately guided us, inquiring about our interests and style. She gave suggestions on how best to communicate our interests like sending her pictures and/or setting up a Pinterest board, which worked well for us. Throughout the design process, Pinar was patient, creative, and a pleasure to work with. If we had different thoughts about her rendering, she would be open to our ideas and would incorporate them into her design. Construction began very soon after we agreed on the design and contract details. Our project manager Starlyn and assistant project manager Kenia were very professional and pleasures to work with. Starlyn was very patient with us and was at our job site practically every day making sure progress was moving along. As first-time customers and since the project was quite large, we were naturally a bit stressed about how things would go, but Starlyn was patient and understanding, and he would address all our questions or concerns as they came up. All the construction workers were Langley employees from the carpenters, plumbers, painters and electricians. We really did not interact with them too much but when we did, they too were very polite and professional. At the end of every day, my wife and I would look at the progress, and we could tell they were very skilled due to the quality in the craftsmanship. I could keep going about how excellent our experience with Langley was, but I will let the photos of our project do the talking. Again, if you are looking for a contractor for your home improvement project, we highly recommend Langley!

I had an excellent experience with H&C Construction on my kitchen remodel. From start to finish,…read moretheir communication, project management, quality of work, and ability to stay on schedule were outstanding. H&C was not the least expensive quote I received, but they also weren't the most expensive. In my experience, the value they delivered more than justified the investment. One of the things I found particularly valuable was the project management app they use. It made it easy to manage the project from end to end, stay informed, review decisions, and keep everything organized in one place. The design phase did take some time, but it was time very well spent. Once we finalized the design, everything moved at a great pace, and the execution was smooth and well coordinated. This was actually my second project with H&C Construction this year, and I am once again very pleased with the results. The fact that I chose to work with them a second time says a lot about my confidence in their team and the quality of their work. I would highly recommend H&C Construction to anyone considering a kitchen remodel. They are professional, organized, communicative, and committed to delivering quality work--and they made what can be a stressful process feel very well managed.

I did not have a good experience at all with this company. First, they changed project managers on…read moreme just before they came out to do that work without explanation. When the work started, they moved at a glacier pace with erratic attendance. There were days they did not show up at all, other days they would show up unexpectedly at 7am, and leave at 10am. This was never communicated with me. Next, mistakes started happening. They painted the walls the wrong color. They put up the shower door on the wrong side. They also put up the window blind backwards so I couldn't reach or use the rod to open and close it. After the shower door went up backwards, the project manager fired the workers, but the had no one to finish the work. When they finally came back to fix the shower tiles wrecked when the door went up on the wrong side, they didn't align the replacement tile patterns with each other so the pattern is disjointed and doesn't line up at all. The project manager told me it's not supposed to line up!? After complaining about it 3 times, they finally offered to replace the tiles. But they stalled on ordering them and now it's out of stock. There are also other problems - the shower faucets are not properly secured to the shower walls, the vanity light is separating from the wall and the light switch fixture is also separating from the wall. The floor tile is irregular with grout lines sometimes thick in places, other times nonexistent. Currently, they are not returning my calls or texts. I've even reached out to the owner who came out and promised to fix everything, but commented that I was overly concerned with "small" details. Now he has not returned my calls or texts about when he will come to fix things. Maybe I am concerned with details but I'd think that is common when paying 20k to have a bathroom redone according to an approved plan. At the very least, I expected that shower tile patterns would match up and that things would be well grouted or secured in shower and on walls. This was my first renovation in my first home and I'm so disappointed in how it turned out and how I was treated by the team. Also, this 2 week project took 5 and 1/2 weeks to get to where it is now. Overall the project was done carelessly with no attention to detail and with no acceptance of their mistakes and no attempt to repair the problems identified. I see they have had good reviews in the past, but my project did not go well at all. I would definitely recommend choosing another company. When I first complained they asked me not to write a bad review and I said that along as everything was fixed we had a deal. Nothing has been fixed and they are not communicating with me. I know have to either pay another company more money to fix their mistakes or take legal action to resolve the simple issues that could be easily fixed. If detail and having a project done to your liking is important I would not recommend H&C at all.
