I had Alan come out to do an estimate for a remodel. He comes off as very friendly and helpful, but the more time went on, it was clear that he isn't great at his job and is just a salesperson that overcharges you. He isn't very knowledgeable about the work, and seems to have a very limited understanding of construction. I firmly believe that he simply took the budget number I gave him, magically subtracted a grand or two from it, and said "great news we're under budget." But, he was never able to demonstrate how he arrived at that number, and the estimate total never made any sense. We got a second estimate, and it was night and day with the second contractor. They knew exactly what they were talking about, anticipated questions I had ahead of time, and was able to speak coherently and knowledgeably about every single facet of the job, something Alan was entirely unable to do. Their estimate also came in at a THIRD of the price Alan came up with, and I was shown exactly how that number was received. Ultimately, I decided not to go with Alan, obviously. Yes, I have seen Alan respond and complain about others posting reviews on estimates, not his work, but his first impression was extremely poor and he was way out of his league and overcharging me. I did not trust a single thing he told me and advise others to receive multiple estimates before hiring anyone. The work I received was excellent, and I am very happy with the result. There is simply no way Alan's work was worth 3 times the price. Edit - @Alan. No, you are confusing me with someone else. There was no faulty work by another contractor. Every negative review on here points to the same issues, you just fail to see them, then you attack them and use name-calling. Grow up. This review is for a second job that Click Construction took on after the original condo renovation. Since they had done such a good job with the walls, floors, cabinets and faucets/toilet in the original project I decided to have them come back and redo the bathroom (paint, vanity light, mirror, wainscot trim, molding, wall cabinet relocation) and put in a tile backsplash in the kitchen. Once again, they offered a very compelling price and started immediately after an agreement was made, this time with a different crew of two. The first day they showed up at 8 in the morning, which was amazing. Marlin and his associate started work immediately, cutting tile sheets and making custom pieces for the layout of the kitchen. They were very careful and attentive to make sure the backsplash ended where I wanted, and worked quickly to lay everything out the first day. The tiling was very meticulous and filled every turn and corner with custom cut tiles. Day two: Marlin was very positive, and greeted me very excited and eager to make sure everything I wanted in the bathroom was pointed out. I went through all the things I could think of (just once) and left for work at 9am. After work, I came back and every little thing that we discussed was done in the bathroom plus grouting in the kitchen tile. There was not a trace that they were ever working, sawing, cutting tile, or painting- just the great looking finished kitchen and bathroom. The backsplash looks incredible. They cleaned up very well after working. Attention to detail was very much appreciated, like finishing exposed seams with white caulk. This project took only two days, which was also greatly appreciated! Of course, Alan was a pleasure to deal with. Will do business with them again. Thanks Click! read more

We had received several estimates for cabinet resurfacing (and were beginning to think the whole idea was hopeless), when we called Click Construction and met with Alan, the owner. Alan promised to give us NEW cabinets, with granite countertops, for less than what the other companies had quoted for resurfacing only. He delivered! Our old 90's-era oak cabinets and white laminate countertops were replaced while my husband and I were at work, with the whole project completed quickly. You have to allow about a week for the cabinets to "settle" before putting in the granite, but even with this the total time from start to finish was about two weeks. Alan's crew replaced our old 30" wall cabinets with 42" cabinets (with moldings), replaced a built-in desk with a large base cabinet, and even gave us a built-in trash and recycling center. Many of our new base cabinets have pull-out drawers, and Click removed and then reinstalled our fairly new granite-composite sink without a hitch. They also moved some of the old kitchen wall cabinets into our laundry room and garage and did a few needed home repairs. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and highly recommend Click Construction. My husband and I are moving and needed to have some drywall repair, as well as a couple new doors installed. Moving is expensive and we were definitely on a budget - I looked through Yelp and Click Construction was the first company that came up and had FIVE STARS. I called and left a message and Alan, the owner, quickly called me back. Right away, his personality was winning me over, but we still need this to be in our budget and the job well done, right? Well, he didn't disappoint. I explained to him my situation. He came out and gave me an affordable estimate (particularly, compared to another company we received a quote) and sent over one of his employees, Ronnie, the next morning! Ronnie was so nice, it didn't even bother me I had to put up our large boxer because he doesn't like big dogs ;) He was prompt and did a great job installing the doors and smoothing out our walls. Alan sent me a text message the first day (it was a two day job) to see how things went and then followed up with a phone call after the second day. I write this as I am sitting in my newly completed screened-in porch, enjoying the lovely breeze, free from mosquitoes. I've been working with Alan and his crew on some major house renovations over the past year, with a lovely A-frame roof porch and attached deck being the final project we had completed. We are very satisfied with the end result, especially when the building inspector commented on the wonderful workmanship of the structure, remarking on how sturdy and well-built it is. A compliment I encouraged Alan to pass on to the workers who put in many hours ensuring a quality product that met both Alan's criteria and the client's desires. We expanded the project after building began and Alan and his crew worked with us to seamlessly integrate the new design without issue. There were some delays, as always happens with construction. However, Alan was responsive to calls, came to visit us in person to discuss adjusted scheduling and responsive to any concerns. Alan and his amazing team built a beautiful custom bar in our basement. Alan has the right people in place from the cabinet designer, to the plumber and electrician, to a genius bar builder, to the best workmen led by foreman, Steve. All were professional, respectful, and expert with their respective craft. We felt very comfortable having each person in our home. Alan takes a personal interest in making sure you aren't just satisfied but that you LOVE the finished product. He has his "glass guy" that built beautiful custom 1" thick shelves for the cabinets. He had told us to look at possible tile options for our floor, then one day HE found tile he was so excited about that he came to our house to show us that night. The tile floor is my favorite part of the design! Click Construction has built us a space that has greatly enhanced the use and the value of our townhome (and Alan made sure that all our permits with the county were set so that we and possible future owners of our home have no issues). We are thrilled that the entertaining space we have dreamed of has come to life and we look forward to enjoying it for many years. read more

We had our bathroom completely renovated back in the beginning of December. Alan and his team were very nice and professional and worked quickly to get the job done in a timely manner. Click Construction was the least expensive out of all the construction companies I contacted and also could get the job done in a week instead of two like the competitors. We did have an issue with our bathtub faucet falling off a month later, but that was due to a faulty piece from Home Depot. Alan's team came out on the next day to fix it and explained that everything in the bathroom has a 1 year labor warranty. I was very nervous about dealing with a construction company as I've seen many stories about peoples bathrooms or kitchens getting shady work done, but with this company it put my anxiety at ease. My husband and I will be contacting them again for future jobs like carpet and kitchen tile. We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom and euro style toilet :) Also, Alan was really easy to get a hold of via text message and responded really quick if I had any questions or concerns. Our master bathroom was old, small and just ugly and in desperate need of renovation. We contacted Alan after researching/talking to a few other contractors. He gave us a quote, and we signed a contract. We had to wait a while before they could start the work but it was well worth the wait. We love the new bathroom! We had bathtub removed, shower expanded, got everything else replaced. Alan helped with choosing tiles, cabinets, paint, faucets...making the whole process so much easier. He basically leads a customer every step of the way with recommendations on where to look and choose all the materials. He always answered all questions and concerns and made it clear that his first priority is a happy customer. He certainly made sure we are happy with our beautiful bigger bathroom! I contracted Alan / Click Construction, to do 3 bathrooms in my town home. Leo, one of Alan's a long time employees, did fantastic work with a high attention to details and finishing quality. Our baths have straight grout lines and good patterns in the tile layout. Changes and issues were dealt with quickly and for reasonable change fees, i.e. our master bath floor and cabinet had to be replaced due to unseen water damage. Overall the project took longer than quoted, however, was not unreasonable for the issues encountered along the way. Alan's team finished all the punch items completely. I am very satisfied with Alan's teams work quality and quality of his key suppliers (i.e. shower glass company). I took a chance of using him just on reviews and looking at the posted pictures of their work. What I saw in posted pictures is similar quality to the workmanship delivered in my home. I would use them again and do not have any reservation of recommending them to a friend or others. read more

My husband and I recently had some work done on our home and chose to use Click Construction. I can say that we are extremely happy with the results. I had gotten quotes form other companies and decided to go with Click. Alan the owner was wonderful to work with. He saw my vision in the project and worked with me every step of the way. It was a big project and got done in a timely matter, weather permitting. As soon as all supplies were in the crew was at my house within a couple of day tearing down walls to put a window in and move a sliding glass door to the other wall.I loved the fact the Alan showed up at my house everyday to check up on how things were going. His crew was wonderful as well and made sure everything was done and cleaned up. Looking at my finished project is looks amazing and like it was alway that way. My new kitchen is gorgeous! Click Construction completely gutted and rebuilt my kitchen plus they replaced ugly carpet with engineered hardwood throughout my condo and they built 11-foot wide floor-to-ceiling bookcases in just two months. They worked around the complex rules of my condo association, which included limitations on how and when they could work. Two months is fast for this much work, although (warning) there were times when it seemed like nothing was getting done. Patience is not my strongest virtue, but it helps. Alan, who runs Click, is an old school contractor. Don't expect reams of printouts or tons of emails. He listens, but he doesn't take a lot of notes. However, in the end I got exactly the kitchen I asked for, including the extra custom touches that I requested. It's been a month since they finished the job and the work has held up beautifully. It cost about what I expected - not cheap, but very fair. read more

I recently purchased a home, which was a fixer-upper. Although there were many issues that needed addressing, my primary concern was the bathroom. I called no less than five Home Improvement/Contracting companies before calling Click Construction. Alan returned my call within minutes, and he was able to come out to my house to provide an estimate that same week! I liked his suggestions concerning the bathroom remodel, and the price he quoted me was more than acceptable. We were also able to formulate a plan to get the other projects taken care of! This is the second job that we had Click Construction perform for us, and it was quite a project. Complete renovation of the loft master bathroom. Clicks team and Alan got their fitness test during this work. From start to finish, Alan collaborated with us on the design, recommended a few changes, which made all the difference in the end. Click brought the bathroom down to stud, installed a new shower inlay, coordinated the vanity and top acquisitions per our specifications. Tolerated my changes on tub design until we got what we were ultimately after for our spa-like bathroom. Repaired and painted the ceilings, walls, installed new recessed lighting and pendants in the new shower area. The tiling is magnificent. We highly recommend Click Construction after they restored the exterior section of our home that had extensive water damage.  Alan the owner was responsive to my calls, showed up quickly for an estimate and took the time to answer a thousand questions.  Steve the crew manager had the expertise and skills required.  He extended the roof line and made it water tight to prevent further leakage. They completed the project in a timely manner and did a superior job. The only issue was they were too busy at the time and could not start the work for a month.  Good for him, bad for us, but the wait was worth it. We also found his price and payment terms to be fair. Click Construction does great work at a reasonable price. After calling around to several other companies, we selected Click Construction to re-tile our bath surround. The owner, Alan G., was knowledgeable, friendly, easy to work with, responsive, and most importantly, trustworthy. He provided photos of similar work he'd done recently and encouraged us to call his references. We had a tight budget, so Alan recommended that we purchase the materials ourselves to contain costs (sending us to the store with a detailed list of items) while he provided the labor. We were pleased with the re-tiling and painting and will certainly use his services in the future and freely recommend him to friends and family. read more

I recently used Click Construction for a kitchen renovation and I am very happy with the results. I would both recommend Click Construction, and use again. The new kitchen looks amazing. It actually exceeded my expectations. The results alone merit a 5-star rating, but I also found the contractors to be very friendly, good with our dog, considerate of my pregnant wife, and overall good guys. Alan did a great job of making himself accessible and had good design suggestions.
