Subsequently, I hooked up my OBD2 Scanner (On-Board Diagnostic Scanner) and read the codes. Since my normal mechanic had a month long backlog I called these guys, then asked a few questions and then towed it over to Robert to dig further into the issue(s). Everyone I talked to was pleasant, knowledgeable and responsive. They were able to work me in the following work day and after determining what parts were needed, obtained them promptly (I.e. next morning) and had the job completed by late afternoon. In short, my car was in and out by the end of the third day. Kudos to these guys for a job well-done, timely and very much appreciated. This was the first time I have ever dealt with Hutson Automotive - and will do so should the need arise again.

I will tell you I witnessed them tell people "hey, it might be under warranty and if it is great, but if it is not, bring back the receipt and I will deduct it from your bill should you choose to have us repair it". I witnessed people walking in to buy a "part" from them they personally were going to install vs having it done. THESE PEOPLE ARE REAL, HONEST, GENUINE PEOPLE!!!! IF your car needs ANY kind of servicing, I STRONGLY recommend you give them a call for your needs. Their mechanics have been there 20+ years which tells you they treat both the customer AND employees fairly. I was also impressed with observing them fight on the phone to FIND parts that are needed but unobtainable currently because of supply chain issues on behalf of their customers!!! I'm here to tell you there is not a place I have ever taken a car to in my nearly 70 years on this earth that I have felt better about. When we brought it back, we waited two days with no updates. After a long hold on the phone, we were told they found nothing wrong. Oddly, the A/C felt colder when we picked it up, suggesting a test drive may have just happened. Another vehicle took nearly two weeks just to get in. Once dropped off, they forgot we even brought it in, quoted repairs we didn't ask for, and never called when it was ready -- a recurring issue. The staff is friendly, but communication and reliability have seriously declined. It feels like they're too busy to care, and that's disappointing after being loyal customers for years.

Sadly, the shop uses appointments like doctors. Where appointments are for patients, but not for the attending physician. So, I waited a couple of days to get the appointment, and had the truck towed in before the specified time. They never called me, I called them, ONLY to be informed, they never got to my vehicle and it would be the next business day it would be looked at. The shop was closed for the weekend, ugh! I waited until later the Monday afternoon, still no call from them. So, I called again. And, got informed they couldn't look at my vehicle until Tuesday because they were short handed. I finally got a call on Tuesday the truck was ready. When I asked about getting a discount due to the truck languishing in their shop for 2 days, (plus the weekend they were not open). They got really pissy with me about me being irritated due to not getting my truck back "sooner". I was charged the full price. No apologies, MY RECOMMENDATION, IS TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
