The food and drinks have always been consistently good, and the service has never disappointed. On one recent visit, my coworker and I went to Eureka, and I fell in love with the fried pickles! That is something I normally don't ever order but I wanted to try something different. They were so good that my boyfriend and I came back a few days later just to order two baskets before heading home! Like I mentioned previously, I never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently good, the drinks are even better, and the service is always on point. Eureka is definitely one of my go-to spots, and I will absolutely keep coming back.

I started with an Old Fashioned drink, which was solid - strong enough to pack a little punch but still taste good. We ordered a few appetizers - the Korean Beef Frachos were especially good and the Brussel sprouts were very solid. With so many appetizers, I went with a Caesar salad and two soft tacos (shrimp and fish). The Caesar salad was good and healthy sized, so I could share with others. It was a typical, but good, Caesar which didn't have anything fancy about it (no anchovies, egg yolk, etc), but nothing was really lacking either. Both soft/street tacos were good, respectable in size and very tasty. Other people in our party got burgers, goat cheese salad, chicken sandwiches, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. Service was friendly and casual. Our server was the one who really recommenced the Frachos, which was a great call. I've been to Eurekas before and always been satisfied. I'd probably rate the typical location a 4-star experience, but this one seemed extra friendly and the food I enjoyed more than I expected, so a solid 5 star experience in my book.

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY…read more $5 birthday month dining credit for Rewards members Not so happy Rodney. Had another hiccup, same as last year, trying to redeem my $5 birthday month dining credit. Walking in, I sat at the bar, and let the employee know I possess the promo. She said she's never handled that before, since she recently relocated from Temecula to Long Beach. But, she would ring it up, afterwards. Already red flags started to pop up, with visions of last year's issues floating in my head, so I asked if I could use the promo on a beer, which she replied in the affirmative. Ordering a pint of Blue Moon, I quenched my thirst on a hot August day, and that's when things turned sour. Upon trying to redeem the dining credit via Toast Local app, the beer was denied several times. I asked if my beer could be comped, and told she couldn't. She should have, because it was her mistake, but she did not. I then asked if perhaps the promo isn't valid for beer, and she said that might be the case. So, I decided to order a $5 carne asada taco. Carne asada taco- Tough, old, not hot. The carne asada taco was a terrible excuse for a street taco. Not even worth half the $5 price tag. No bueno. Upon redeeming the promo via Toast Local app for my taco, I was again met with several denials. Porque? What can I redeem the promo on? The employee again explained she was new, and unaccustomed to the birthday redemption. She then took pics of my Toast Local account number & QR code. Paying the $5 plus tax, I was ready to be on my way. Second year, I'm out. Again, I had issues redeeming my birthday month promo, and I've had my fill of Alas Toxicas. I should've been comped for the pint of Blue Moon, seeing how it was no fault of my own the employee didn't know how to input things. With that, and a subpar facsimile of a carne asada taco, I have no plans on returning.

The day of the party the host helped me with positioning the tables and did not hesitate to assist. I love that they went the extra mile to customize a menu for us. Our waiter Patrick was on point and Leti was also very helpful with setting up. The party was a big success and well managed. All of my guests were happy with the food and service and were also impressed with how efficient things went. Today's visit we were assisted by Kyle and Jesus. Kyle had a wonderful personality and provided excellent service. The manager on duty Jesus was making his rounds to the tables and was also very attentive. This team is an absolute joy. Thank you Cerritos Islands Team for your excellent customer service.

Sat at the bar and addressed efficiently by the bartender who was wearing a Kor v Mex shirt. She handled everyone's orders with professional care and speed and made sure to check on everyone regularly. Happy hour menu was decent. Went with cheddar fries (good, kinda salty) and spinach dip (not enough salt?) and a $5 22oz coors light while I waited for my amiga to arrive. If you want extra hype this ain't that type of crowd but as a solo female non-regular bar guest, this was perfect and chill. Glad to have a landing spot for the next game!

Rock and Brews exceeded each category and came in clutch with some bonuses! First, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! I had tacos, which were discounted for Taco Tuesday and allowed for a mix-and-match of chicken, beef, or pork. My wife had the Mediterranean salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a pretzel that was mega yummy. Second, beer! Lots of great choices, and if you prefer a mixed spirit, well, you're in luck, because they have plenty of those too. Third, vibes! Vibes like Cal Tjader came back to life. The place is decked out like your coolest friend won the lottery and created the perfect spot for all of his Rock & Roll lovin' homies to hang and chill. It is hard to pull off this level of focus without being a complete visual disaster or downright tawdry. Luckily for them, the designer understood the assignment. Well done, designer. You deserve a raise. Now, obviously, I'm a fan. One visit. That's all it took. But even after all of that goodness, there is one thing I must share, because it made a good experience a great one, and that thing is not even a thing; it was Matthew! Brother, thank you for being so kind and attentive. You are very talented, and without question, the quality of our experience is directly linked to your professionalism. I get the impression that no matter where you go, or what you do, the Force is always strong with you. Let's give Matt a raise too! And make him manager when you open the San Diego location.

They were tasty, too, but I can always appreciate a good looking burger that doesn't fall over after they place it on the table. I had the super spicy one and it kicked my bum. Will be back, even if it's just to get a bottle of their hot sauce . Only real gripe is that this place looks and feels like a sports bar/restaurant, it has over a dozen TVs... But the same thing was on ALL the TVs ! I understand the music theme is central appeal, but at least have different (variety) music videos on if you're gonna have 30 TVs in your restaurant. Make it interesting
