Drinks were delicious and strong and service was great and quick. You are limited to eating and drinking within a certain time frame but it's not bad as the servers are on it. Drinks 10/10 and food 10/10. I'm still craving their burger, one of the best ones I have had, I can't even compare it to anywhere else. Bathrooms are located outside of the speakeasy.

We finished off with a brownie dessert. I really enjoyed the passion fruit puree and kiwi topping. The brownie tasted good but was very dense which isn't my preference. Overall, would recommend. It is located in downtown Fullerton, next to the Les Amis Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant. Look for the entrance on the west side of the building with a red entrance and Chapter 4 projection logo on the sidewalk. You can make a reservation on their website. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Seating options include tall chairs at the bar, low booths along the front wall across from the bar, and various tables in the main lounge area. All of the chairs look very comfortable. We sat in one of the booths across from the bar. It has a great vibe inside with a dark ceiling and walls, and is lit on the dimmer side. There was light lounge/soft jazz music playing when we visited. They also have live jazz music on some nights. A bowl of nuts, water, and menus arrived quickly. They have a great menu of house-curated cocktails, their spins on classic cocktails, and a large list of whiskeys and other spirits. They also have several food items on the menu. They have private liquor lockers available to store personal bottles for members Before I continue, I have to say that JC, one of the owners, who greeted us and was our server all evening, provided outstanding hospitality. While researching their bar menu online, we saw the cloud cocktail which had a very unique presentation with a burning ember cloud-like display. We came for my girlfriend's birthday, and she knew that would be her first drink. Unfortunately when we tried to order it, they were out of the gas for it. We noticed that the physical menu was a little different than the online menu. Apparently they had just changed the menu and had not updated the website yet. She wanted the Dirty Dill which wasn't on the new cocktail menu, but they were still able to make it. Dirty Dill (Gin, Vodka, Lemon, Pickle Juice, Olive Juice, Milk Washed & Clarified, $19). We could smell pickle on the nose, but when we took a sip, it was very boozy with little pickle or olive flavor. We asked if they could add some more pickle juice, and JC brought us a big shot glass of pickle juice so she could adjust it to her liking. She liked it once she added some more pickle juice. I started out with the Cococacaocoladaclara cocktail (Cacao-Infused Rum, Orange Liquor, Pineapple & Lime Juice, Coconut Milk Clarified, $18). This wasn't quite what I was expecting, and I had a hard time picking out the flavors. It was definitely strong and boozy. We were finishing our first round when we spotted JC walking towards our table with a cloud! He managed to find whatever it takes to make the effect, and we were very appreciative. I have seen a lot of presentations, and this was definitely a unique one. The birthday shot was very good, and he said the ingredients were mezcal, lavender, and lemon. Old Fashioneds have been growing on me lately. After the great presentation of the cloud, I had to try the Sinatra Old Fashioned (Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, one dash of chocolate Bitters, $40). It is served in a rotating crystal glass, lit from underneath, with a clear ice sphere. Again, the presentation was great, and it was the smoothest old fashioned I've ever had. She had her eye on the Tuk Tuk for her second drink (Coconut Fat Washed Rum, Supasawa, Pandan Syrup, Mango Syrup, Rice Garnish, $18). She asked if it was very sweet, and he said that it was indeed quite sweet. Instead, she opted for the Firefox (Vodka, Pomegranate, Lemon, Vanila, Rose Liquor, Cherry Bitters, $18). Once again, this cocktail had a great presentation. It's served in a short, wide glass that sits perfectly on top of a piece of petrified-looking wood. You hold the glass with both hands and sip it like a bowl of soup. It was very balanced and smooth, with a nice tartness and light sweetness. JC stopped by again to check on our second round. A few minutes later he surprised us again, and returned with shot sized versions of the Tuk Tuk to sample. It was definitely on the sweeter side with good coconut and pandan flavor. We probably would have tried a third round, but we had dinner and a drink before coming here. Their menu of house-curated cocktails is impressive, and features many uncommon ingredients. We had a good time, but JC went the extra mile for us all night long and made it a great time. We will definitely return again.

The drinks and food came out in a timely manner and were fantastic! We were given a little treat, popping sorghum, never had it but now craving it! The old fashioneds were top notch. The happy hour sliders, amazing and tasty. Those potato fries were huge and flavorful. We were told they are fried in beef marrow! Yummy! The ranch was also a bit different but very tasty! My family and I decided to visit for the first time for British cuisine. It's not a far departure…read morefrom foods of other cultures around the locality, but you'll notice differences between British and American English, for example. Many of their dishes include chips, which during my visit, resembled steak fries due to their thickness. You'll also see that curry is a signature dish in the menu, which reflects how Anglo-Indian cuisine has maintained popular influence in the United Kingdom. I ordered Cutty Sark's curry with chicken, rice, and chips at medium spice. The name is derived from a British merchant vessel that operated during the late 1800s. The curry had a mix of savory and sweet flavors, which reminded me of both Japanese and Indian cuisines at the same time. I couldn't say with certainty that the curry fit into just one cuisine. Packed with some heat and bold in spice, it's a delightful and large dish if you desire a lot of flavor. Where the curry went a little off course was the addition of celery. The petiole is strongly flavored and distracts from the curry in my perhaps controversial opinion. Curry seems to better mix with potatoes and carrots. I tried some of the bacon sarnie as well. The word "sarnie" is an affectionate diminutive for "sandwich." American bacon usually comes from pork belly, which provides a flavorful yet oily crispiness. However, the British variant usually comes from the loin, which is meatier and leaner. I thought of the bacon here as similar to a savory ham. The sarnie bread is fried in fat to emphasize buttery flavor. The restaurant, filled with English decorations, has the style of a cozy and dim pub. There's a good amount of small wooden booths with cracked leather seating. Our server was really nice and made sure we got everything we needed despite the busyness of the restaurant. For example, my curry came with a chutney, and I had asked for a lid to take it home. While I forgot to take the chutney home, she went outside as she noticed that we took the back exit to look at their double-decker bus. She even offered to take a picture of us. The service deserves a lot of kudos, and we were grateful for her consideration.

While the restaurant wasn't terribly crowded, the service was awful. The blonde waitress with the British accent was very rude and yelled at my son's (15, 18, and 21) which they later said made then feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The service was very slow and we only had one water refill, despite asking repeatedly, in almost 3 hours. They were also out of multiple items including scotch eggs, sausage rolls, steak and ale pies, and sticky coffee pudding (they only had two). We never received our scotch eggs and sausage rolls and it wasn't until I asked about them after the entrees came that I was told they had run out. And we were never told that the beef wellington, which we ordered in place of the steak and ale pies that they had run out of, was almost $20 more than the steak and ale pies. Then, the bill came and the scotch eggs and sausage rolls were still on the bill, which I failed to notice at the time, so we had to return and ask for a credit for those two items. This was the worst experience we've had at this restaurant. We've had the blonde waitress before and she can be abrupt but this time, she crossed the line into being downright rude and we all felt unwelcome as a result. And to receive the treatment and have this many issues while celebrating special family events was disappointing. I'm not sure if and when I'll be back after the poor treatment we received which is a shame because I do love their food.

I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the strangest I've had. It tasted like the orange had been muddled into the drink, and the sugar was sitting undissolved at the bottom of the glass. For such a classic and simple cocktail, I expected it to be made much better. The calamari was just okay. Some pieces were soggy, as if they hadn't been cooked long enough, while others were a bit chewy. The pasta also didn't seem to be made in-house. At nearly $40 for an entrée, it felt overpriced, especially when there are several nearby restaurants that make their pasta from scratch for a similar or lower price. Our waitress did her best despite seeming overwhelmed and having some difficulty with the portable POS system. She remained polite and attentive, so I don't fault her for the experience. Overall, this wasn't the quality we remembered, and unfortunately, we won't be returning.
