We had Climate Controllers install a split system in a large building in back of our house. Steve Tipton (the owner) came out to give us an estimate which we thought was very reasonable. We made the appointment for the installation, and their office manager (Michelle) called before the promised date to ask if they could start earlier which was fantastic. The installation crew showed up at the expected time and got to work. They did an excellent job, left no trash behind, and made sure we were completely satisfied. They were very respectful of our property and took the time to completely explain how the system worked. You couldn't have asked for a better experience from a company. Called Climate Controllers and they were out next day. Found that coils were bad and the cost would be quite high to replace. (had just replaced 3 years prior by another company). Technician suggested that it might be more cost efficient in the long run to replace system. We decided to do this. Michelle, the office manager kept us up to date on the financing, warranty and installation. Team showed up and installed the unit, including increasing size of ductwork to meet specs (at no extra charge), in about 5 hours. They were friendly, courteous and kept us informed of their progress. Although the unit is expensive, it seems to be a very good deal when the full 10 year warranty and no interest financing is considered. A few things to consider when going with climate controllers. They are not effective with their follow through and they don't do what they say they are going to do which paints a telling picture of their reliability. When I called them It took a while for them to answer and this was in the spring of 24. By the summer going into fall I finally got someone to discuss the project. It took another couple months for the tech to arrive. After discussing the details of the project we came up with a plan of action and I requested a quote and he said he would send it when he gets back. Never got a quote and called a month later to follow up and the lady who took the call said she would find the quote and send it, never got it again. Called again another month later, talked to the owner and he said that he didn't think he could do the project. This was obviously new information so I asked why and he said he would send me an email describing the reason why after he checks his notes (so I guess needed time to formulate an excuse), but he never sent me anything again. All the while I was planning and building all the specifications that the tech and I discussed when he came to the house. So you can imagine how frustrating it can be when everything I built and demolished is now no longer applicable. I did get frustrated with this type of service and of course was met with a plethora of excuses. So If you go with climate controllers just expect poor communication, mismanagement of expectations and of course the layering of excuses. But who know maybe if you can survive the preemptive merry-go-round there maybe a good service to be had, or their service is just like everything I am describing, delayed with no follow through. read more

We have used Climate Controllers for our last two heat pump systems. Over the years, they have been consistently responsive to our needs. It starts with their office staff. They are very friendly and knowable. The owner, Steve, will simply go the extra mile to ensure you are happy. And as for their installation crew, they are spot dead on.
