During an attempted room upgrade, we encountered issues on Expedia. The owner advised me to cancel first and then rebook the larger room and assured me it is free. Between the cancellation at night and rebooking next morning, I was charged $475. When I requested a refund, the owner initially stated that $50 was deducted as fee by Expedia. However, Expedia later confirmed that no such fee was charged. When I raised this discrepancy, the explanation shifted to unrelated justifications, e.g. they lost another customer because of me, blah blah.

You're really zip lining, repelling, climbing, hiking, sliding, diving, swimming (not a strong swimmer but you MUST know how to swim), just wet, eating in the dark with candles, team support, HUGE SPIDERS, bats, ... I mean... IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME. Really felt like I was living my best life. **You are on your own to make sure you don't fall, slip, drown, or die. They ARE there but not right next to you at all times. So you should have some experiences** Luckily, everyone in my group were amazing and supportive. Definitely made it the best experience ever. Once on site, we had a few minutes in the Margarita Bar to take a bathroom break, grab water or snack, etc. Then we went to another area to get our gear put on and then headed to the first line. Before getting started one of the guides gave instructions on what not to do with the gear, how to hold on and how to pull yourself in if you don't make it all of the way to the next platform. Next the adventure began. I don't recall the description saying that there were open-slated wooden bridges to cross or slightly steep and possibly slippery hills to climb. I can say that my nerves, glutes and hamstrings got an intense workout. lol. The last line ends back at the Margarita Bar, perfect for if you need a shot after. The guides help you get all of the gear off. The views were great, and I really did enjoy myself. I made it across successfully on all 5 lines. It was more work than I bargained for but I'm glad that I went and would consider doing it again. All of the tour guides assisting us were great and everyone in our tour survived the experience.

The entire tour from the maintenance of the private trails to the coordination of activities was expertly handled. Throughout the day I did things not experienced for decades like jumping off 40ft waterfalls, repelling down rock faces, and body sliding down natural water slides. I brought my young son along for the adventure and here again these guys shined in a big way, Fernando specifically paid extra special attention to his safety but also making sure he had a great time. The expertise in safety and the detailed oriented planning put into this adventure allowed me to do what I came to do - have fun, without fearing injury or harm to my young Son. These caliber of activities (some might call them "extreme") would not usually instill such a feeling of calm and safety in me - or most people in general. This was the best tour of any kind that I've ever been on. If you love nature, hiking, andwater do it. It's the best money you'll spend on a tour.

They made the journey a lot of fun! After we had followed Lori to the meeting place, we were put into our harnesses and given a very short safety speech. Then the trip began. We had a blast going down the zip lines and looking at the local plants and animals. We even got to see a tarantula and eat a termite! The view from the last zip line is breathtaking. While on the moving bus on bumpy roads, we were asked to fill out waivers. After about 30 minutes we arrived a Hacienda Campos. We walked up a hill to a restaurant where we were asked to wait. I had been worried about the 230lb weight limit as I was just under it before leaving, but I had also been on a cruise ship enjoying all sorts of wonderful food for 6 days at that point. I had no reason to worry, as unlike other zipline companies, this one did not weigh us. We sat in the restaurant and bar area for a while and it was suggested we purchase their small cans of bug spray for $13.50 if we did not have our own. I'm glad I didn't, as the bugs did not bother me at all while we were there. After 30 minutes of just sitting, they finally took us to get harnesses. We later learned the delay was caused due to the staff determining 4 of the people who came on the tour were "too old" to participate and had to issue them refunds. Odd they waited until after we arrived to decide that, as the cruise line knows your age when you buy the tickets, and a representative from the company met us at the cruise port and let the people on the bus. The only option they had after getting a refund was to sit in the restaurant till the bus took everyone back to the ship. The ziplines were fun, you do have to do a fair amount of hiking between the locations, which is nice. They also have helmets with GoPro mounts screwed on to them, not just with adhesive. Anyone who brought backpacks had to bring them along on the ziplines. There were lockers in the restaurant area, but we were not told about them and did not see them till we were done. After the tour, we were told we had some time to eat and drink at the bar before the bus came, but they did not tell us how long. Several people ordered food, some got it but others were still waiting when we were told the bus was ready. Turned out the lady making food had gone off to walk her dog, so several people had to rush to eat as well as eat on the bus. The actual zipline part was fun, but the time management before and after was not the best.
