This place was incredible! My kids had so much fun! They had climbing structures of varying levels of difficulty for my bigger kids & a fun toddler area for my littles . They even had ninja warrior style ramps up to some of the climbing structures which my kids could do safely with the harnesses. And in the back there is a zip line obstacle course, video games, laser, tag, and more. We did not have time to do everything because there was just so much to choose from! I felt like if I asked a question or for assistance for the kids I was inconveniencing the staff. Jeremiah made great food and was very polite great customer services! We went in July and met some friends there. The place is fun for the kids with lots of activities. However, the staff was horrible. We payed, there was no mention of needing a receipt, just asked if we needed one. I said no. My son lost his card because sure it fell through one of the games. When I told the front desk, they said that they couldn't replace it because I did not have a receipt. A manager finally came and found our transaction in the computer and helped. She was great. The young teenagers working there are rude, inattentive, and disrespectful. When we entered, they did not give us harnesses or provide any information about the climbing walls. I stood at the counter waiting to speak with someone. There were four teenagers behind the counter talking, ignoring me. I finally said excuse me and one of them just looked at me. I asked if we needed harnesses for the walls. He said yes and turned away. I then looked at another girl and said they don't have them. She then gave me a dirty look and reluctantly put them on the counter. They continued talking and looking on their phones. We also had issues at the bumper cars. The girl working there was annoyed that we were there. One of the cars was broken and didn't work. My son was sitting on it. I told her this and she gave me a dirty look and slowly walked over to it. After attempting to try to get it to work, she took him off and put a sign that it was out of order. No replacement turn for the missed time on the bumper car. We only get to turns on them with the package I purchased. The staff here is very unresponsive and rude. They are mostly on their phones and talking to each other. At least get people who are willing to do their jobs. read more

Place did the trick for yet another day where we were advised not to go outside. Found a Groupon so I saved $10. I agree with previous reviewers who mention that the climbing becomes redundant swiftly. The soft play area is organized chaos but does the trick. There needs to be more sitting options near the climbs. I doubt I'd do a whole part here but as previously mentioned place sufficed for its purpose of tiring out my child. The workers were nice & carried out smiles throughout my visit. Sometimes the harnesses can be difficult to attach. This was a very fun visit for our 7-year old. We purchased a pass for our child and 2 over-the-hill passes for the adults ($100). We enjoyed the bumper cars, we loved the laser tag, and the high ropes course. My wife and I enjoyed climbing the walls. We have almost zero background in climbing these types of walls- personally I failed a couple of times and successfully reached the top of the wall about 5 times. Perfect for my ability level. I'm here right now and I have to give a review. Unfortunately, not good. The visit is not worth the price. For $42, you get unlimited climbing which sounds good but my kids, 7 and 9, were bored after ~3 climbs. The zip line and ropes course was a bust because it's too much for kids their age that are still getting comfortable with heights. After that, we were left with 2 laser tag games and 3 bumper cars and the arcade. The 20 arcade credits are great until you realize that your child spent all of their credits on 5 Whack A Mole games that were 4 credits each (wow). He was there 3 min and nearly cried when he realized all of his credits were gone. 20 credits is $10, so that was a $2 game. It was a slow day, so there were no other kids in the laser tag or bumper cars, so that was a bust. 1.5 hours and they were ready to go. Also, about the staff: everything written here is true. A bunch of young kids sitting doing nothing but talking to each other. Right now, two of them are sitting across from each other at the ropes course tossing a ball back and forth at each other. I went to the concession to ask whether the "Christmas IPA" was considered "Domestic" or "craft" which is a $2 price difference. The girl at the register initially ignored me, then lifted her head while looking over and past me as though there was a customer she was trying to rush to get to behind me (no eye contact), here was the exchange: Her: how can I help you Me: is the Christmas IPA considered "craft" Her: I don't know anything about beer Me: well there is a difference in price between the two types of beers. Can you tell me the price of the Christmas IPA Her with a huffy attitude and smacking lips: I don't know, I think like $7 or something. Me: okay thanks Anyway, my 7yo is next to me with his chin on his wrists ready to go... The pros: the place is clean and the front desk and the staff at the climbing wall are nice and helpful. But, when you walk past there. Not worth it. Maybe when it's a zoo and there are other kids to distract and entertain my kids, that might be an attraction worth paying for. read more

My 9 year old son and I went during Presidents' Day Monday. It was our first time. There were so many cool walls to climb with 1-4 levels of difficulties. I paid for the Fuji package and then the adult package (which allows the adult to get the same but cheaper). It was supposed to have access to the walls, soft play, 2 games of laser tag, and 3 rides of bumper cars. We did the 2 laser tag games and 1 bumper cars ride: however, our cards kept saying insufficient funds when we tried to do the bumper cars again and the worker would not allow us in (which is fine as he was following rules). The family in front of us had the same problem. My kid was fine with not going again as he was having a blast climbing all the walls and it was an hour until closing anyway, but this does not justify what's happening with the cards considering that it was expensive! The bumper cars: small circle. Ride is only a like 5 mins long (maybe less than that). We had a worker who took like 10 mins between rides to rearrange the cars. That took way longer than the ride! Thank goodness there was a shift change and there was a new worker who didn't bother rearranging them after every ride so the line went a lot faster. You get a 2 minute "training" on the climbing. They put on the harness and show you how to attach your hook onto any wall you want. But then certain areas do not allow the harnesses to be kept on, like laser tag, but workers did not tell anyone to take them off. Also, if we are to take them off and put them on, no one is ensuring that people are putting it on correctly before going back on the walls. The walls: although there are people who may walk around the wall climbing area to assist people with hooking/unhooking to climb or come off, there isn't a worker at every single wall to make sure rules are followed. This means that parents must be there at all times to ensure safety (probably hence the waiver). I did see many kids with no parents around (a lot sit at the food tables). I recommend bringing a backpack as they do not have lockers (they have those storage cubes). We still had a great time and we will be back. We didn't have any issues with kids/parents and the staff was friendly. I saw the manager many times walking around helping all areas. read more

This review is specifically for the day camp at Climbzone. With the camp advertised as a climbing camp and this place being a climbing facility, we were surprised and disappointed to discover (after the fact) that there were no climbing component at all to the camp, at least on the day we attended camp. Apparently kid did gaming only, for hours, during the camp. Would NOT return or recommend for anyone looking for a proper day camp. If this is due to the facility over-crowding, at least parents who sign up could be informed in advance to make a proper decision of whether to attend or not. read more

When you rent a party room for 500$ for two hours I do not expect anyone running after me telling me to put a couple of homemade sandwiches away because they want to nickel and dime you to spend money at their cafe. I rent the room stay out of it its not your business what I am doing for in the rented room. Beyond rude. Sure have your rules and I see that you already have less repeat customers half empty rooms. Not to mention all the climbing walls are filthy like they haven't been wiped or sanitized since they opened. Wont be back. read more

We just visited this place yesterday for the first time and I have to say we were not disappointed!! Kids had a blast from my 1 year old to my 11 year old! It was clean, organized, and just pure fun! From the arcades to the ropes to the bumper cars and laser tag. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family! Only advice I would give is to add lights to the soft play area it's way too dark in there especially for toddlers I was not comfortable letting my toddler in there alone. Also the ball pit is a no no. Kind of smelled in there and with Covid probably not the easiest place to sanitize. Other then that it was great. Food was also good. Perfect addition to the area, and a great activity for yet another frigid winter day. This place is spacious, clean, well run and reasonably priced. The climbing walls are a good difficulty level for kids ages 6+, the ropes course looks fun, bumper cars fun and accessible for kids 36" and up, and the arcade is good bang for the buck. Laser tag seemed good as well - probably a little understaffed but they seem like they're just getting into their groove. Soft play area fun for littler kids ages maybe toddler through 7-8. My son just had his birthday here and he and his friends had a blast! So as far as the kids having a good time 5/5. As for customer and parent experience 2.5/5. Most of his friends are ages 4-6 they mostly played in the soft play, some also climbed. There's absolutely no staff by the soft play area monitoring kids. And practically no staff helping climbers. I saw a lot of them walking around but not helping?? Our party host was MIA a lot of the time. I couldn't find her and I didn't see her checking on our guests when they climbed. (She was polite though, and Abby the event manager is attentive.) I watched a young man TEXTING while up by the high ropes zip line as a kid was waiting on the other side ready to go! Huge red flag! In the soft play area, no staff to stop older kids running in or checking wristbands. It's also VERY dark. They need a lot more overhead lighting. Literally the playspace at McDonald's on Addison has a better lit indoor playground with tunnels and slides. Kids Empire and Fit City Kids have well lit soft play areas and there is always one staff member checking the toddler area to tidy up and kick out older kids. If a kid gets hurt someone needs to be there for assistance or at least direct them somewhere. A few of my guests pointed out similar issues. Overall, it would probably be beneficial to have mangers walking around the floor making sure the staff is attentive. TL,DR - Would I take my kid again? Yes, bc he's a kid trying to have fun. I went with my family and friends on 2/11/2023 and for the $45 package for 3 hours what it included wasn't bad at all. ( 2 games of laser tag, 2 bumper cars, 1 rope course, 20 arcade tokens). Was it expensive yes you can easily spend at least $100 plus in there. It had 60 climbing walls and you can build your own package which isn't bad at all. One thing I wasn't pleased with is that all though adults and kids have have a safety harness their is absolutely no safe nets in place for if the harness breaks or something. read more

I usually love this place, to the point that we debated getting the membership for our kids and have their birthday parties here. But the last two visits, including today we had to deal with staff that would rather talk to each other than help our kids with their harnesses in the rope course. It was after my husband addressed the issue did they finally stop talking and helped the kids. At one point one of the staff actually gave the finger to other staff in front of a party. Used to be for $42/kid (excl tax) you could do everything unlimited and stay as long as you like. Now, for that $, you only get the ropes course once, 2 laser tag plays and 3 bumper car rides and must do in 3hrs. Yes, climbing walls and soft play (Unless your kid(s) are too old for soft play) is unlimited so there's that. Add on top of that that the kitchen quits serving hot food 2hrs before closing and you can only buy cold prepackaged snacks. And then bumper cars get shut down for 25mins for charging. And despite it not being a busy day, women's bathroom a wreck-paper towels everywhere, chewed gum in the sink, etc. So for basically $100 for 2 kids, absolutely not worth it from a parents perspective and wallet. Don't book birthday parties there. Why? They managed it so poorly and they were so unreasonable and scary. Every kid only got 1 turn, at each attraction (bumper car, high rope, rock climbing and laser tag) because of extensive waiting as a big group. And they have never explained this prior to party nor at the website nor anywhere else. My young daughter was crying not being able to get on to the bumper car when party time started because the bumper car guy said he wasn't sure we paid for the bumper car item by just looking at her party bracelet (poor system, go figure), and they said we had to wait for our whole party to go together but they only have 8 spots on bumper car attractions so they eventually went in 3 batches near the end. I don't understand the system. I tried to raise my complaints and doubts but they just didn't care, instead they bullied me saying my voice was too loud and brought a bodyguard to the conversation. I simply didn't understand why we did not get to just simply go to the attractions we paid for, separating from the group if needed. So eventually they had to all wait for a long time to go only once and waited some more while kids in our group didn't finish their turn. The manager said it's either their way or nobody will be managing the group anymore at attractions but obviously nobody manning the attractions would know what we paid for by just looking at our party bracelets. I was frustrated. The hostess was not well trained at all so I had to ask two different persons how much an extra bottle of water was (first the hostess said $3.99 but then someone else said $1.25 after I was confused and wanted her to reconfirm). Poor management and attitude at this place. They became even meaner and accused me of yelling right after I gave up communicating with the manager at first round of conversation, said I would file a complaint and walked away from her. Hostess tried to quit our party, for I believe she might think we wouldn't give any good tips after this or they may just wanna put pressure on me. Same went for the showing of their bodyguard scaring me. Close to $1200 for merely 13 kids. $50 for every extra kid for this kind of service is disappointing. I paid full after the party ended. The employees here were so helpful in explaining all the packages and helping the kids get their gear on. Every staff member we passed said "hi" and "how's it going." It was super sweet. Rating 2 stars only because the climbing courses were actually so much fun. It's such a shame that my time there involved a minor injury, and I also left feeling as though I'd been racially profiled by the staff/management. The incident occurred on 2/18/2023 at around 6:00 PM. After receiving my harness for climbing, I was instructed to go to the Training Zone where my harness was properly fitted. The person who fitted me (unfortunately didn't get his name, but I was fitted at around 4:30 PM and he was still working that area) accidentally smashed my finger in the metal clamp part (quite hard, leaving a small bruise) and didn't apologize. I had to coax an apology out of him after explaining how he really hurt me. I guess he didn't like that too much, because later, when I was struggling with my harness on a climbing wall, he said to another team member "I'm not helping them". (The other team member also noticed how off/rude his tone was.) This was the incident that prompted me to report him at the front desk. Because it's one thing to hurt me, and it's another to carry a cold shoulder, refusing to help me, because I called you out. That isn't right, nor is it what I expected of an establishment like ClimbZone. After leaving the report at the front desk, and thinking that it had been handled for the day, the manager (Alon) approached my sister and myself while we were playing air hockey. He said he had to speak with us, grabbed the puck off of the table (not even giving it time to naturally come to a stop) and proceeded to SCOLD ME for being "disrespectful" to his employee. No further apology, no "are you alright/unharmed/how is your finger?". I was essentially made to feel like I had done something wrong for making a report, and I was going to leave it at just that, but Alon's approach truly put an awful taste in my mouth. I feel like, had I not been African American, he would have approached me a lot more tactfully and with more kindness. I told my sister I was ready to go, emotional from the experience, and Alon said "That's for the best." I came for a birthday party, and while I was excited to return to ClimbZone on my own someday in the near future, I don't think that will be possible at all, given how I was treated.
