We found out about this winery where they have a tasting room at Sonoma square. We decided to go to the winery that is about 15 minutes away and in a more relaxed atmosphere that's less crowded. They have delicious carneros Chardonnay but make some other types too. Great place for a drink or tasting.

Beautiful vineyard property with a relaxed vibe. I had been to the tasting room in downtown Sonoma once before, and while that is a very convenient location, if you're picking one over the other, the vibe here can't be beat. We had a reservation for our group of 8, we were given a couple picnic tables by the outdoor windows, which was a beautiful place to taste. We were able to roam around and enjoy the adirondak chairs in the sunshine. We also wandered over to the trellis with a swing and to the property line to check out the neighbor's camels. Since we had a large group we chose four wines for the entire group to taste, typically if it's fewer people you're able to choose your own adventure. We tried a nice array of wines, from white, to bubbles, and two different reds. After two visits I've come to the conclusion that the wine here is just not my thing, hence the 4 stars. But that is totally personal preference, others liked it and one in our group is even a member! Service was great and our tasting associate was on top of bringing us our wine even when we were a little dispersed.

This was our first stop on our Napa and Sonoma bus tour. Our guide was fun, engaging and funny! The vineyard is beautiful and it was so amazing to see the grapevines, barrels and work area. This was a great start to our tour! Our ushers (amazing ladies who poured us wine AND water) were very friendly. Pricilla was the sweetest and made sure I was properly hydrated during our tour. I am not big on wine but I did enjoy the white wines they served and the last dessert wine since it was nice and sweet! I would definitely recommend visiting this vineyard! I think both wine aficionados and novices alike would enjoy this tour.

It was such a beautiful day for a wine tasting! We were able to try 6 different wines that are overall on the sweeter and fruitier side. The service was excellent, and the membership seems like a great deal. The only thing that affected my experience were the number of flies constantly buzzing around. It was a bit difficult to fully enjoy the wines as a result because we were constantly shooing the flies away.

Very chill winery! Super spacious and great for groups. Dog friendly! You are able to bring your own food and snacks. You also don't have to do a tasting and able to buy wine by the glass or bottle to enjoy. My boyfriend isn't much of a wine drinker so he was happy to learn they brew their own in house beers! He ordered the beer flight which consisted of 4 beers for $12. What a steal! I ordered a bottle of the Reserve Merlot which was pretty good and fairly priced. Plenty of parking also. Would come back again!

This was my second visit to this Roche location. Spent a few hours tasting delicious wine on a sunny Friday afternoon. Love this place! Beautiful location and a short drive from Marin. Lori, our server and wine educator, was very attentive as she served and told us about the wines. We each chose 4 wines to taste, something new to me as most wineries I have visited had a set tasting menu. There's no food service currently on site, although the gift shop sells some snacks. They do allow you to bring in food items with you. All in all a nice outing at a venue I'll be returning to soon.

10/10 recommend! Pours are big and wine is phenomenal! Jonathan who served us was very knowledgeable and treated us as family! Will definitely be coming back!

Came here for our one wine tasting in Sonoma. And I was very impressed with their setup and location. The ambiance is great. But there are wayyyyyyy too many flies. So beware if you don't like flies. We were literally attacked by a swarm of them. And when i mean attacked, I really mean attacked. We were swatting them from our faces, arms, legs, and drinks. I really wished they could do something about the flies. because it really ruined the experience for my family who had had a great experience at a wine tasting in Napa Valley earlier in the morning. We moved tables and they somehow still chased after us and were there. Other tables for whatever reason didn't seem to have as big of a problem with the flies as we did. I don't know what we did wrong to these flies. The staff members were super nice. The wines were reasonably priced compared to what I was paying in Napa Valley earlier that day. The muscat canelli was my favorite and i ended up getting a bottle of that.

What a nice place. I did the white wine tasting. Sparkling Brut rosè. Quite fresh and crisp. The non oak chardonnay was so yummy and citrusy. The Carneros Chardonnay is creamy and soft. French oak Chardonnay is very good. Oaky taste and soft. Nice texture.

I remember going to this spot in 2015 and it wasn't as big or colorful as it's now! I loved walking in to this space and looking around hess beautiful spots to sit and some spots outside (near the parking) to picnic. This was a weekday so it was not too crowded but there were still fair amount of groups enjoying a nice sunny day! The chardonnay was my favorite here and they have two wine tasting list, premier and otherwise. They do have some hummus and veggie board if you like to get it and some really nice chocolates!! That weekday, it seemed kid friendly but if you have a running kid might be best to get one of the picnic spots outside and grab wine.

This is my happy place. The staff are helpful and friendly, the wine is delicious, the atmosphere is great. Dogs and kids are welcome. They also have a home to rent out that has its own pool. Surrounded by vineyards and close to downtown, easy and quick access from the 37.

Hanging with hubby for anniversary. Quick stop here has been amazing. Jonathan was such a great host and very knowledgeable about the history of the vineyard. We joined the wine club ( extremely reasonable). Beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Great views and spacious patio area. Great service and their vineyard is beautiful. Their 2021 Carneros Chardonnay (oaked) is really good. It's very smooth and has a nice taste.

They have a large fish pond and it's 25 cents for a cup of fish food to feed the turtles and koi. This is one of the most family friendly wineries I've seen. Many people bring their kids. They have corn holes too. Fancy and Pudding were the highlight! I reached out and felt like a Disney princess having one of them come to me for pets. The restrooms were very clean as well! It was fun browsing the store too. And of course the tasting and charcuterie board were a fantastic experience. I loved the cheeses and almonds they had. I would have liked the option to take our time drinking the wines, but I felt uncomfortable and slightly rushed as this person sat with us and did not always speak te whole time. We did arrive 30 minutes late due to the Tock app (reservation app) guiding us to the wrong location. We called Hamel to notify them and the person said they would wait for us, but I detected a bit of a tone. I also emailed Tock, which they responded quickly but basically said that they investigated it and it was basically an issue on Apple's side of things. No acknowledge of the inconvenience this had on me and my husband. We did receive a very tasty appetizer made by their world-renowned chef, but the wine fell short in my opinion. It seemed a bit watered down with little flavor overall. The wine is very expensive along with the wine tasting. It looks aesthetic and alluring, but when we sat inside to see how it was, it felt cold and the walls were so high that you couldn't even view the vineyard. one of those things where the idea is great, but execution not so much. Ended up on the heated terrace which was way more comfortable. Service: 2/5 our server didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine when we asked questions and of the information that she gave us, it sounded like a list of notes from a description that the wine maker gave her. This was very disappointing. The entire interaction felt strange, and there was no eye contact. We all felt rushed because when we weren't done drinking the wine, she would always come in and tell us she's gonna pour us the next wine, then leave, just so we need to finish the current glass we had. In general, if we aren't able to finish a glass of wine fast enough, or we just don't want to it would be nice if the winery could provide more glasses for us to try the rest of the wines instead of being rushed and using the same glass for every round. Overall, this place is great if you want something very casual. It's such a fun place to sip on wine with friends.
