Clingans cabins and coffee junction, which is cutely named simply coffee on the outside is the cutest quaint little coffee shop about 30 mins from kings canyon. They have a ton of flavors including lavender and rose which I absolutely adore. The woman at the front who took our order was very nice and helpful when it came to order different drinks that were not specifically on the menu. They have a cute selection of pastries and bagels to choose from. Flat white with lavender was 10/10 read more

My wife and I stumbled upon this place while staying in the yokutz valley visiting the kings canyon and sequoia NPS. We tried this on our last day and after 6 days on the road without a decent cup of coffee this place seriously saved us haha coming from the LA/OC area we are kind of coffee snobs I will admit and diner coffee is okay but we were craving the good stuff and this place delivered! I got the iced Milky Way and my wife got the iced vanilla oat latte both were great! We also had the meat lover quiche which was packed with meat and powered us through the morning and afternoon of hiking the sequoias. I also got the cowboy cookie but didn't eat it until The next day and I honestly can't spot thinking about it. Love this place! The shop is also nicely decorated, simple clean and rustic. Genuinely the cutest little coffee shop near Dunlap!! It was the perfect place to stop before heading out to the parks. It may not be ideal if you're in a rush since it is so popular, but I definitely recommend making time to go. Get the scones!! All of the scone flavors were so fun, but I liked the lemon scone the best. There is ample seating and parking all around, with kind servers working hard to get your order out quickly. This is my local coffee shop but I have 2 complaints 1) you guys really need to stay open till four on Saturday and Sunday and double the staff especially in the mornings when you guys are slammed !your staff is awesome they run around like crazy trying to get stuff done but you need to add a couple more people 2) VEGAN items! I was working at Dunlap Elementary for the day and a colleague brought our group here for lunch. It was a light lunch without a ton of options but everyone was happy with what they got. I had the turkey sandwich on an everything bagel and it was perfect! I accidentally ordered the plain cold brew instead of flavored and the staff was nice enough to add flavoring when I asked. The interior is very cute and well decorated and they play worship music if that's your thing. They have outdoor seating with great views of the hills and clear skies. Sooooo. Good. If you are going to the north end of Sequoia National Park to see General Grant Tree, there is a great new food stop on the way. I worked in a good coffee shop... these scones are way better. So light and made there daily. I had an amazing bagel as I stared at the redwoods. Some of the best baked goods I've eaten, and I am picky. I hate coffee in general... I love this place and will now likey stop each time I go to the park for a bagel sandwich. read more

Clingans Junction Coffee was at the perfect location for us to stop by on our way into Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park. We stayed in an Airbnb in Squaw Valley the previous night and then got breakfast here on our way into the park. FOOD & DRINK: + "Every Ring" bagel sandwich: I loved the seasonings on the bagel. The bagel itself was quite soft (including the crust), not chewy or dense; I enjoyed it, though my friend commented that it wasn't a "legit" bagel. The sausage egg cheese quiche patty (it was like a frittata patty rather than a quiche) inside was a bit too salty for me. It may have paired better with a plain bagel instead of the everything seasoning bagel. + Every Avocado bagel sandwich: my friends really enjoyed their avocado sandwiches. Everything bagel, mayo, sliced avo, salt and pepper - keeping it sweet and simple. + Latte: decent taste. Gave me the caffeine I needed. Lots of milk foam piled on the top. I would call it espresso with milk foam rather than a latte. + Cowboy cookie: chewy and loaded with nuts, chocolate; it was okay. Pricey at $4. I likely wouldn't get it again. OVERALL: Good experience overall at this local coffee shop. Super convenient location for the national parks. My main complaint is that when I looked at my email receipt later and compared it to the prices in my photo of the menu, I noticed that the bagel sandwiches were anywhere from $0.25 to $1 more than what was listed on the menu board. My friend and I got the same types of bagels but were charged differently for them. So keep an eye out on what you're charged. read more

Hand sanitizer bottles are available at each table outside in case you wish to clean the table, your hands, etc. My husband, our little girl dog and I went to this coffee shop a few times while we visited Sequoia National Park since our vacation rental was very close by and this seems to be the only coffee place in this area. We ended up ordering: Hot Pumpkin Chai Tea, (12 oz) $3.75 prior to tax- With a seasonal drink, I decided to order this and really liked it. The pumpkin was not overwhelming and did not taste artificial. Hot Vanilla Chai Tea, (16 oz) $4.25 prior to tax- On another visit, I decided to try the vanilla chai and also really liked this drink. To be honest, I liked the vanilla a little bit more than the pumpkin. This drink was smooth and perfect for a cold morning. Hot Vanilla Chai Tea, (20 oz) $4.75 prior to tax Hot Vanilla Latte, (12 oz) $3.50 prior to tax- My husband ordered this and thought this was made perfectly. Hot Vanilla Latte, (20 oz) $4.50 prior to tax Hot Almond Latte, (16 oz) $4 prior to tax- My husband didn't like this drink. He thought the almond in this drink would be flavored with a syrup like the vanilla but the way it tasted, I think it had almond milk instead of regular cow's milk. Blueberry Scone, $3.50 prior to tax- My husband had this (and didn't share with me) and thought it was moist and perfect for a morning snack. Chocolate Chip Cookie, $2.50 prior to tax- A pretty big cookie for the price. I didn't have any but my husband really liked it. The cookie was just perfect with just the right amount of chocolate chips. Cowboy Cookie, $2.50 prior to tax- Wow this definitely was a great cookie with shredded coconut, chocolate and nuts. This cookie was soft and a great size for sharing (or to eat on your own). Maple Scone Bar, $3.50 prior to tax- We purchased this to bring with us on our road trip so we have not tried this yet but I bet it would be good since all the other baked goods we had so far have been quite promising. Lemon Scone, $3.50 prior to tax- To be honest, I have never been a fan of lemon baked goods because the lemon is always either way too sour or way too artificially sweet. But my husband loved lemon flavored everything so he opted to get this. I was surprised how the lemon was a nice balance and was not overwhelming. You can see and taste the lemon zest. I loved how this scone was moist even when consumed the day after purchasing. Spicy Ring Bagel, $6.50 prior to tax- A breakfast sandwich for the road, this bagel sandwich was made with the jalapeno cheese bagel that had cheese, a sausage patty and a quiche. This was a great breakfast sandwich and would order this again. Service was very friendly each day we came. They definitely made us feel welcomed. Some of the staff even recognized us since we came so many days in a row. All baked goods are made from scratch, and you can tell by the taste. Being that this is the only place in town, the prices are actually very affordable (cheaper than Starbucks, that is for sure). If I was a local, I would definitely come here often (it seems like we saw a lot of locals coming here in the mornings). If you are in the area and are needing a pick me up, definitely make sure to stop by here. The only downfall of this place is that they don't open Tuesdays through Thursdays and close at 2 pm every day. read more

Mini road trip up to Kings Canyon landed us on the main road in between Dunlap And Squaw Valley. We had booked to stay in one of the Cabins and woke up the next morning conveniently behind the coffee shop! Coffee Shop opens at 8am, and as soon as that clock gets to 8am, the cars just keep coming! This is probably the only coffee shop for a while, which explains the traffic but the amount of love from the locals is crazy. The Co-owner made her way around the shop and greeted each local by name, and left us with a super friendly impression from our one night visit. Iced White Chocolate Mocha - ($4.75) - Iced Latte with Oat Milk - ($6.75) - both drinks were pretty decent, the latte came off a little too dark and the Mocha was a little too sweet, we ended up mixing the two for something that was a little more palatable for us. Lemon Scone - ($4.75) - This was the best scone we both ever had, super soft and crumbly on the inside with a nice little bit of a crunch of a soft crust. The lemon zest was visibly present and outwardly zesty and sweet.Would not hesitate to get this again, totally recommend! Vanilla Scone - ($4.50) - The bakers' secret for their scones is seriously unbelievable, the same consistency on both scones except the vanilla frosting on top was way too sweet for us. Opting to visit and maybe go for lemon and blueberry next time! Overall, we really enjoyed the stay at their cabins, the co owner we met was super friendly and personable. As guests we ended up with a free coffee and scone which was a great surprise. Coffee shop was convenient for our stay and pushed out some great baked goods! I will mention that the server at cash who initially took our order was pretty off putting, and didn't seem too happy about working the morning shift or with servicing at all. The wait time was a lot longer than what I had imagined it to be, the peak times do show they're quite busy from 9am all the way until 11am, but our wait was a solid 25 minutes. Maybe it's the small town vibes, but with the table games, and AC- we didn't mind the wait at all. read more

I found this place while driving up the Sequoia National Park and decided to stop in to try it. It's got a great little coffee shop setup with indoor and outdoor seating, some games you can sit and play, and feels like a place you can come spend some time at. We ordered a basic ring and a spicy ring to go with our cups of coffee. This was easily one of my favorite bagel sandwiches I have ever had! The sausage egg quiche patty was incredible and made the sandwich standout from other bagel sandwiches I have had elsewhere. With flavors like this I know I'm going to be craving one again sometime soon and it's definitely worth the drive to get it. The coffee was solid, I usually order a plain black coffee and this one didn't disappoint. The coffee wasn't anything special that stood out but that spicy ring stood out plenty and makes this a place worth trying! Wow, what a nice treat to find on our way down the mountain. The ambiance is so cute, the place is clean and the coffee, smoothies and food were excellent! They had table games while we waited for our order. The service was fast too even though the place was full. We ordered a latte, pina colada smoothie and a strawberry/banana smoothie. All we're delicious. We also ordered bagel sandwiches and let me tell you those bagels are oh so good and fresh and soft. I usually do not like bagel sandwiches but these were homemade in their kitchen and the best I've had. Wish this place was closer to home as I'd frequent this place. They had yummy looking pastries too but we did try them. They also had very unique coffee options that sounded and looked good. Lots to try for our next trip. We were in route to Kings Canyon National Park (just like you will be ;) and there was nothing in sight - food wise - for miles and miles around. We opened up Yelp, and the search page came up super empty and sad, and then we just lost signal all together. So when I saw Clingans Junction swanky sign I thought it had to be a mirage! What a lovely spot! Family run, made with love and served with cheer. Their baked goods are made from scratch right on site, and what I had (a quiche bagel) was fresh and delicious! They also had some scones and cookies, but I was craving something savory, and that was their only offer - no regrets! They use dark roast beans for their coffee (as a European, not my personal favorite), but the owner-lady was super kind and gracious and offered me a couple other drink options to my liking. The coffee shop used to be an old gas station, and what they did to the place is truly amazing - cozy, full of light, stylish and spacious. They also opened a couple cabins in the back, so here is your next B&B! We were extremely happy to run into these guys who love what they do and love their customers! Win-win for all : ) read more

Ordered: Iced Mocha Blueberry scone The atmosphere here is so relaxing! You can choose to sit inside where you can look out of the huge windows. You also have the option to sit outside. The outside has a lot of outdoor seating with tables with umbrellas. The blueberry scone was so moist! It was delicious! The coffee was refreshing and wasn't overly sweet. They get very busy in the mornings on weekends but it's worth the wait and you can enjoy the views while you wait. Everyone was very friendly!
