I'm a full grown adult who is terrified of needles, especially getting my blood drawn, I even typically cry before the needle even goes in. To be fair, I've had some extremely angry nurses who just jab me despite me saying I'm not ready. Lisa was my phlebotomist at CPL the last two times I've gone, and she was AMAZING both times. She kept me calm, and made it painless, truly, I didn't even feel it until the needle came out and that wasn't even that bad. If I ever have to get my blood drawn again, I pray I can have Lisa again, she made something terrifying to me feel like nothing! After, I felt so accomplished, no crying, definitely no fainting or wooziness, and I equate that all to Lisa's great personality/demeanor. I also appreciate how fast the staff was on getting me seen, I was in and out, which was also great, so I didn't have to sit and work myself up. I did not make an appointment. Kim was absolutely fantastic. CPL accepts my insurance and luckily they had 0 wait compared to the places I went to earlier quest & labcorp were super packed and long waits. I didn't have to make an appointment. The place was clean and service was amazing I was in and out within 15 minutes. Kim was the one drawing my blood and she was so sweet she made me feel super comfortable and she was very friendly. I love when they actually care to make you relax when you're nervous. I had a lot of fear about getting my blood drawn because two years ago I fainted when I had my blood drawn from someone who was not very experienced at a doctors office. Today when I came in I had Brenda draw my blood and she was so nice and comforting and friendly she really put me at ease I told her I was gonna look away while she drew the blood and I didn't even feel her do it. There was a short wait in the lobby which is not only clean but also the service provided by the staff is exceptional. They are cheaper and the customer service is better than that of Quest and LabCorp. I think LabCorp provides the worst customer service of all. CPL is clean and whether you call for information or stop by for prices, they give you the BEST service. They are professional in the way they draw blood which I like because they don't just stick the needle in and hope to get the vein. Hours vary upon location and although this one closes earlier than others in my area it still is worth running there to get your blood drawn. I like to call them my favorite vampires... CPL needs to go back to business school if they want to remain in business. Let's back track to February 2021 when TEXAS HAD A SNOWSTORM. We show up at this Las Vegas location and a piece of paper on the door states they are closed due to "The Storm". As I read this, it's bright and sunny in Las Vegas, but apparently in 2021, during a pandemic, CPL has an antiquated system where everything is run through Texas and they had to cancel all appointments for 1 week. And apparently calling the patients who had appointments just doesn't occur to them. I would like to mention at this point that my family member needs to have her blood work done at least 3 days prior to her doctor appointment so that her prescription can be released. GUESS WHAT? due to CPL's incompetence, her prescription lapsed. I also want to point out that one of the employees at this location said that when she showed up to work that week, all she saw was the paper on the door stating the location was closed. How in 2021 does a company not know how to communicate with it's important employees and patients about being closed? It's 2021 and all CPL Corporate has is one system in Texas and if that goes down, every state they have locations in is closed and they don't even notify their employees? How can they be trusted with specific lab work??? Current day, her monthly doctor appointment is this weekend, I call this location on the 15th to make the blood work appointment, we show up and they never put the appointment in the books. So we have to go to our doctor physically, get a letter, physically go back to CPL, and the "man" who tries to draw blood, badly twice, leaving bruising) admits to us that he took the appointment and spoke to me over the phone, but never put it in the system. !!! We tell him that the results need to be at the doctor by Friday afternoon and he says no problem. So, this morning, I call this location to follow up and make sure they send the results in on time for our appointment tomorrow and guess what? Can't tell me anything. I've just spent the entire morning on the phone with CPL Cascade Valley location, Culinary Advocate, Carmen, and trying to reach CPL at #702.795.4900 with no results. Tomorrow we go to her doctor appointment and her prescription will probably be delayed once again due to CPL incompetence. This is unacceptable. read more

It's unfortunate that the staff is really nice and worked very efficiently. I am not complaining about the staff but whoever is in charge of billing. I went in an paid 100+ in cash for labs. A few days later my surgeon tells me the lab didn't do one of the tests that they marked on the lab paper and said it would only be an extra $3. So I called them and asked if it would in fact ONLY be an extra $3 and they confirmed with me it is ONLY and extra $3. One month later after my surgery I get a notice in the mail saying I owe an EXTRA $78. I called and asked what was going on, why is there an extra charge? I was told on the phone that it would only be an extra $3. So the customer service rep told me I had two separate accounts... they did not add the $3 to my original lab they created another account for a separate lab charge which results in an extra &78. I didn't go in again for them to take more blood, they used what they had. I asked why she couldn't add the account to the other one and she said she didn't know what to tell me. I asked the manager JASMINE (not sure if she was manager but she was acting like she was in charge) what that was all about JASMINE said they don't force anyone to wear a mask. I was pretty apprehensive about going to this location. Having seen the reviews on Yelp but my wife, who has been here before, said it was a good place. Drawing blood from me is very difficult because my veins roll and are deeper than normal. So in the past, very few people have drawn blood from me without having to stick me over and over trying to find my veins, or worse yet, stick me then move the needle around "fishing" for my veins. This place is also very close to my house, so that, along my wife recommendations made me pay them a visit. And It went great from the time I arrived to the time I left. HORRIBLE service. It takes a lot for me to write such a poor review, but this place is so terrible, I had to! This is my second time here and both visits have been this bad. I'm just here for lab work for an annual physical, so my personal experience was pretty uneventful. However, I watched and heard while they ticked off almost every single patient! This also happened last time. They shared PERSONAL information PUBLICLY for most patients. I can tell one man in particular was very uncomfortable and embarrassed. I felt horrible for him because his privacy had been invaded by this UNPROFESSIONAL staff!! I think we all felt uncomfortable! Perhaps they've never heard of HIPAA around here?!?! They turned a woman away for the second time because they don't have email OR ink on their fax machine (for 2 weeks now) to obtain or print her doctor's orders. This woman was obviously upset because she had a deadline to get this done. Instead of being sympathetic or try to offer options for a solution... They giggled and joked about how "screwed up" their system is because they're not allowed to replace ink, and a tech has to come out.... Who cares!?!? Just fix the problem... It's 2015!... Get an email account and get with the times! It just went on and on... The worst part is how they SHARED PATIENT'S PRIVATE BUSINESS WITH ALL OF US. The worst organized place I've ever seen. I'm afraid they will get my tests mixed up

I am very upset with my recent experience here. I originally came in September and then everything was great. Unfortunately that was not the case today. My daughter who is 1.5 years old had to have lab work performed for allergy testing. From the moment we walked in the girl at the counter was not very welcoming. We took our daughter in the back for a blood draw. I asked if I needed to remove her sweater. They said no and rolled up her sleeve. They then proceeded to tie the little rubber band around her sweater, not even on her arm. The same girl from the front counter (I wish I had gotten her name) was assisting and the manner in which she spoke to my crying daughter was very demeaning. I am extremely disappointed in how this staff handled a blood draw for a baby. Unfortunately this lab is next door to my pediatrician office. I will probably be going elsewhere if we have to have lab work done again. read more
