On my first visit, Charlie gave me a clear, fair offer on the CR-V, but I thought I might get more for my trade-in by selling it myself. I told him I wasn't going ahead with the deal but he remained just as friendly and professional. I thought that said a lot about his integrity. Purchased a used chevy truck and when I tried to set up the Onstar and Mychevy app I find that they never reset the system. The former owner still has control of my truck and can lock/unlock the doors, start it remotely, and locate the vehicle. If they kept a key this would allow them to steal the truck as well. It seems like this should've been something done before they sold the truck to me. Their answer is to have me go to the Chevy dealer to have the system reset. Today I'll go pay the dealer to do the job that Clinton Honda shoudl have done. To say I'm unhappy about this is an understatement. Do better Clinton Honda. Love the truck, disappointed in the lack of pofessionalism and service on this one. read more

I had a very poor experience at Clinton Honda. I had told my salesman, that I wanted to have all the number ironed out before I showed up to the dealership to purchase the car. This, in itself, posed a problem and unnecessary back and forth. I wanted to be as respectful of their time and I wish the same was reciprocated back to me. I was also told there was no wiggle room on the price due to the 1.9% financing that would be available to me. Great, until I was told that the rate was not being offered on Accords. Then I suspected I would be somewhere around 5-6% interest, which is the going rate at most places and banks. I asked my salesperson to tell me what the rate was but he said the finance guy was working on checking with all banks and he would get me that number. In the meantime, I could start the work on getting my insurance sorted out, which took about an hour. Yet, another thing I could have sorted out at home before coming into the dealership. By the time I get to the Finance person, I learn my rate is actually going to be 8%, and this with credit score of 830. On what planet is this even logical. So I could have started searching for alternative loan options, yet another thing I could have done from home knowing what the rate would have been and not accepting it or deciding to go with another car. I don't keep money in my checking account and it would take about three days to swap it over so I couldn't pay cash on the spot. So I say let's hold off and you can hold the car and I'll come back in a couple of days with a certified bank check. That would be possible but we'd have to undo everything including calling back Allstate to change the insurance again and start the plates process again. I wasn't about to do that. So I say, let me pay by credit card. Also not an option. So here I am, unbelievably livid and forced into signing paperwork I would never have done if I knew everything going in, which I think their salesperson knew very well to start, which is why I went through the mess I went through. Not only will I never buy a car from your dealership or related dealerships ever again, and I do need to replace my wife's Honda Odyssey, I'm telling everyone in my network and across social media platforms about my horrible experience and avoid this place like the plague. They use very deceptive practices and string you along withholding critical information until you've reached the point of no return. Oh and did I forget, the icing on the cake, when I get home and I'm trying to figure out how to connect to the apply carplay, I figure, let me refer to my trusty owner's manual in the glove box. Much to my surprise, there wasn't one. I really despise having my time wasted and I especially hate oversights into the simplest of details. I traded in my Porsche I can guarantee you I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration when I purchased that car. It was an easy and seamless process, in fact, I was allowed to leave with the car while I was waiting for my insurance money from my previous car to clear into my bank account, simply because they valued my business and wanted to make sure I was happy. This should be a lesson for everyone at this dealership. read more

Listened to what I was looking for, discussed a few options with me, then took me for a test drive in the Pilot I ended up purchasing. The process was very low pressure, easy and quick. Chris in the finance area was excellent! Took his time to explain everything to me in detail. He reviewed options for warranty coverage, maintenance plans, etc. Chris was able to show me the maintenance costs (in today's $'s) if I were to pay for service as I go, vs. what the COSTCO pricing discounted plan would cost. It was average. Scheduling was relatively easy once I convinced the service rep that changing an automatic transmission fluid filter is an actual service item. Not doing so is like changing your oil without changing the oil filter. The greeting by the receptionist was less than warm when I picked up the car. I paid over the phone to pick up after hours so they leave the invoice and keys at the front desk in the show room. When I arrived and stated I was there to pick up my car I was greeted with "did you pay?" If she knew her employer's payment and pickup policy she would have known the answer and could have greeted me in a more pleasant manner. Although I printed a coupon for a specific service as instructed and placed it in the drop off envelope I see they never applied the discount. Not surprised there because each time I spoke with the service rep he seemed rushed and provided two conflicting quotes for the fees for each service. I take my Ford and my Toyota to the Fred Beans dealerships where I bought them. Truly exceptional service from that organization. If they had a Honda dealership closer to me I'd take my Accord to them as well. In this case, I paid for convenience and did so at a heavy cost. I'll do the brakes myself and buy the tires I need elsewhere. read more
