It's very quiet, clean and welcoming. It's actually feels like a single-family one-story home. It's very spacious and the huge 2 car garage is a bonus! The appliances are much smaller than we'd like though. The main tub and master bedroom shower are ridiculously very small, however; we are learning to live with these downfalls. No community is 100% perfect of course, however; we are glad to call Redwood our home. We had an option to move elsewhere not too far from here, however, due to the open floor plan with cathedral ceilings we chose here and are glad we did. The monthly food trucks are very appreciated for those nights I don't cook dinner (which is very few). The office manager, "Lonnie" and his team are very professional, friendly and business oriented. I love the way this office is ran. I have been a customer service professional for over 30 years, so I, personally appreciate it when I see others providing the same level of good customer service to others, especially my husband and I. The maintenance guy is absolutely the best! He is friendly, prompt and attentive. The turnaround time is stellar (1 day or less)! This sets this community apart from others, the wait time for maintenance requests at our previous community was 3-4 days. Overall, we are super satisfied living here, and plan to call Redwood our home for a long time. It's a lot of things we will never compromise on when living somewhere, some being: comfort, convenience, and quietness, and this is exactly what we found at Redwood :).

I checked the portal within the next few says with a $0 balance . Them they come sending my final bill stating I owned over $2,000 . Charges were for breaking the lease , carpet repair 1,400, glazing if 2 tubs and $260 . Court fees ??? .... I called Jonathan to confirm our conversation and to ask him why would he advise the incorrect information . He has been advoiding me. I would NEVER recommend this place !!! Yes, nothing will ever be as you imagine and want, leave that for when you are a homeowner. I too complained in the beginning, but that's because I lived as a homeowner for a long time. I forgot that some people are not tidy, and some smoke weed, and argue and don't take care of their pets. Still, the worst I experienced was some weed smell, and shortly after complaining, the people I thought were doing it indoors were gone. Most smoke, whatever they smoke, on their balconies. I have never seen issues with pets, bags are provided by the complex and there is nothing on the grounds ever. Pets are registered and DNA tested and rules are in place. People follow the rules from what I see. I rather enjoyed all the pets here and watching people connect through their pets. Kids play outside in playgrounds and it is great to see that. I can tell you that a lot has changed, most of the staff and management are new and have been more than nice to me, especially Megan the manager. I see a lot of updates being done, both cosmetic and major ones; like updated kitchens and laminate flooring being installed. I rented my apartment prior to updates, still it was very nice, everything in working order. I took a lot of pictures and videos so I am not worried about having issues moving out. I lived here for a year and never once called maintenance. Not even a lightbulb changed. It is a great location and grounds are maintained well. It feels very safe here, I have not seen or heard of any issues. It is still very quiet and worry free living here. Until you buy a house, renter's life will be rather similar everywhere so be cautious of negative reviews and just visit, take a look and get a feel of the community. Great location, nice apartments inside and out, and price is reasonable for the area.

I also have 2 toddler aged children. Anytime they walk or " play " in the apartment the neighbors below me call and complain and harass me through the office .., leaving letters on my door all while 3 days after I moved in I found out the neighbor across from me is "mentally unstable" . I have made multiple police reports she has chased me and my children with knives stabbed and broke my door (maintaince did end up fixing the dooor) she has threatened to burn the apartment building down I wake up in the middle of the night to her messing with my door/ balcony , she threatens and harasses me and my two children she is very violent . I reached out to the front office asked what they can do to acomadate me , or anywhere they could put me until they can manage the property and resolve the safety concerns. The property manager suggest that I move out and she will approve of e violating my lease , stating that they are all uncomfortable upon my move in . More concerned about my toddlers walking through the apartment which they are under 40 pounds , was told they have new office management.

I've lived in this apartment complex for over four years, always paid on time, and never had…read moreissues, until recently. Unfortunately, the way management handles residents is extremely disappointing. If a payment is even slightly late, they immediately send your account to collections, regardless of your long-term payment history or past reliability. There is zero grace period, zero understanding, and zero willingness to work with people. On top of that, they charged my account twice even though my resident portal clearly showed a zero balance. When I brought it up, they refused to refund the duplicate charge, even after I explained that my bank would hit me with fees because of their mistake. They simply didn't care. I'm now forced to pay extra fees for an entire month due to an error on their end while they continue to act like it's not their problem. This place has become money-hungry and insensitive to its residents. If you're considering moving here, be aware: they take advantage of people, offer no flexibility, and don't take responsibility for mistakes that cost you money. After years of being a good tenant, this experience has completely changed how I view this complex. I would not recommend it.

One of the top reasons that we were considering downsizing from a…read more1700 sqft. house to apartment living is there is absolutely no additional maintenance and upkeep costs, no worries about cutting the lawn or snow removal. All the maintenance responsibilities and appliances cost is provided by Shelby Manor. When we moved in there was already new carpeting and new ceramic flooring in the large bathroom. Over time we had the kitchen floor replaced and a new dishwasher replaced. Our unit has a stackable clothes washer and dryer and even a microwave oven and of course we have an oven, stove refrigerator and garbage disposal not to mention our own hot water heater, furnace and air conditioner. These are all provided and more importantly maintained by Shelby Manor, nothing worst is having a furnace go out in the middle of winter with no one to call for help. The best part is the maintenance and repairs of the units are handled by the full time staff. We had a small water leak in our ceiling from an upstairs air conditioner. Mike came over first thing in the morning, stopped the leak upstairs brought in a fan to dry up the damp carpet checked for mildew and found none. The ceiling needed plaster repairs, which means let the ceiling dry out, mud the repair, sand and mud and let dry again, and 3 coats of paint to match the ceiling. This of course took Mike several return trips to do a professional job, he keep us informed when of the scheduled trips and explained what and how he was preforming the work. Each trip was super quick lasting not more that 15 minutes, so it didn't interrupt our day. We really enjoy living here there is a good community of friendly people. Thanks Shelby Manor, Don & Irene
