I normally go to Supercuts or your gimmicky "men's salons". After my wife and a couple of friends told me to go to a barber, i was a little skeptical and nervous but i do know Duane who opened the shop and josh who is a barber there. However, my review is for Noah. Noah asked me what kind of cut i wanted and i was just honest and told him i didn't know as this was new to me. I told him some basic guidelines that i wanted and i was switching the style from long hair to really short. He took his time and his attention to detail made this experience less stressful for me. I stopped in real quick to get a cut and received top notch service. I'm a regular at a different shop but my barber is out of town. I know clips on 66 has a phenomenal reputation so I booked with a barber I've never used before. The barber told me he was relatively new to the shop so I was a little nervous but he did a fantastic job. Before leaving one of the more senior barbers in the shop(David) checked the cut to make sure I received a treatment up to the shops standards. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly greeting and asked if I had an appointment or if I was a walk in ( I was a walk in so luckily I was able to be seen right away). This place has like 6 TVs to sit back and watch all the different sports games that are on and what's different about this place is they also have beer to sip on while getting your hair cut and watching the game. As a single mom, I used to loathe the barber shop. My pre "Clips on 66" experience would run the gamut of either having no place to sit or having to sit on a dirty seat in addition to the foul language present in either conversation or music being played. I used to think that I would just have to suck it up and deal with the current state of barber shops until my boys were old enough for me to drop off and pick up once they were finished... I was wrong, hope arrived in the form Clips on 66. Upon the suggestion of my soror, I took my boys to Duane for a cut. Little did I know how pleasant of an experience it would be. This shop is decorated with modern, masculine decor and is *drumroll* CLEAN! Clips offers all patrons wine, beer, water or coffee. There are also snacks for sale should your little ones want to nibble on something while waiting for their haircuts. There are several television sets, a small phone charging station and even board games or playing cards for you to pass the time. While the prices are slightly higher than what your average barber shop charges ($25), this is NOT your average barber shop. Clips on 66 is a place where single moms can feel comfortable being present while they wait. I think we've found our new barbershop... period. Duane and David are two young entrepreneurs I'm happy to support. Also, I'm happy to have them as role models to my young men. They take their business and customer service seriously and it shows.
