We just moved to Rancho and needed to find a new barber for myself and my son (age 4). I found Tavern and made an appointment with Joe for my son. He only needed a trim to clean him since I still want him having a young boys cut, nothing fancy like a fade or anything. My son had a great experience and Joe made him so comfortable for his first big boy haircut in an actual barber chair, no more toy cars. My son loved it so much he asked if we can go back. Ill be going back to get a cut myself from Joe. Joe had a terrific attitude for dealing with a few minutes of my son crying and settling him down. Came here with my dad on a Friday night. Great service, great barbers, great prices. The guys at this shop are super down to earth, extremely humble individuals, very welcoming as soon as you walk in and their prices are solid.. not over priced at all. Definitely coming back on a regular basis. My dad speaks very little English and treated my dad with respect, were very patient with him being his first time at a real barber shop. Wish I can remember both of the barbers names that took care of us to be able to give them some kudos, but I'll be sure to catch their names next time I go so I can update my review. Great barber. Called on a Friday and they were able to fit me in. Alex was the barber who cut my hair. Everything about this place was exceptional. All staff were friendly. They offer drinks throughout the cut. I got the hair and beard. Even though was a last minute booking wasn't rushed and alex took his time to get it right. I made my appointment with Toro. This guy was super chill and very detail oriented. I'm writing this review just after getting home and I gotta say, this is the best hair cut I've ever gotten. I gave Toro a hard time (being the pickiest person with haircuts) and basically had him cut my hair three different times/styles cutting into his lunch (no pun intended). I did all this to him and he was still with it, and still super detail oriented and professional. This place has great vibes and I highly recommend trying it out. So a guy walks into a Tavern and meets one man with an excellent 'Do', a bald guy and a guy wearing a beanie...except it's not a bar, it's a barber shop, those are the hair professionals, and he's got to get a new style after growing out his hair for 3 months. Wyatt (beanie yesterday, baseball cap today..no/bad hair??) gave me the All Men cut with short sides and long top...pretty much exactly what I asked him NOT to do. Wyatt seemed to listen but then gave me the opposite of what I asked for (long!), so I was confused by the cut. He said " I heard you say a 1.." and seemed pleased with his work, despite my crestfallen face after the reveal (yeah, no mirror to watch him 'style' my hair..just a $25 surpise), so shame on me for expecting too much. ----added after the business reply---- Robert- Yelp is designed for customers, reviewing our experiences for other customers. It's not to ensure a business gets all 5 star ratings. So you heard me say 'Not Sure' when I sat down, did you also hear me say to keep it long, that I'd been growing it out for 3 months so I could have a new style? Did you hear me say I had that All Men style for the past 3 years and wanted to mix it up, so maybe just trim the sides and even out the top? Did you hear me say that the longer hair requires less maintenance when wearing my helmet, and did you hear Wyatt agree? Did you hear me say I how much I enjoyed the atmosphere of your shop vs a salon (although stylists seem more versatile, in my experience), and the lack of pressure on buying product that's customary in a lot of salons?
