    My running clock
    Curt M.

Greg gets right back to you when you contact him about your clock repair. He asks for a few pictures of your clock and then he contacts you to confirm a time to come by and diagnose your clock's issues. He got my clock running in about an hour. He's also courteous and his prices are very reasonable. His approach is to do the most conservative work to get your clock running and if anything comes up later he will make himself available. An easy 5 star business

Greg is awesome and very friendly. I requested service and he schedule it right away. I love that he comes on weekends! He worked on two clocks and maintenance them both. The pricing for a service call was very reasonable! I will definitely use him again.

I have had a beautiful grandfather clock that my father gave to me more than 40 years ago, and it is most precious to me. It's important that I take good care of it, so when it stopped running recently I contacted Greg of Clock Care and Repair in Filmore and he came all the way out to Santa Barbara to fix it. He is the BEST! In addition to being personable and very knowledgeable, he understood right away what the problem was and fixed it quickly. I am absolutely thrilled that he made everything right with this clock that is virtually a family member after so many years! I am most appreciative, especially given that the same problem arose two months ago. I contacted a clock smith locally, who came out and charged me $125 to make a house call, did a quick adjustment to the pendulum and left. Just a couple of weeks later, the clock stopped running again, so that's when I called Greg. He's honest, reliable, and very professional. He will have my business for years to come!

Greg repaired our Grandfather clock movement after a local repair Tech in San Luis Obispo had failed to do so.

My cousin had given this clock to my sister, and my sister knowing my interest in genealogy, gave the clock to me. It wasn't running right (some movement, but it would stop, also it chimed endlessly. I took it to a local jewelry store, where they had it for about six months before telling me they could not repair it. I realized I needed a special kind of clock repairman, so I did an internet search and found Hopkins Jewelers, in Burbank. This was early May, 2025. They had excellent reviews. I liked the shop. Very old school. Clocks lining the walls. Clocks to be repaired all over the floor. Sure, chaotic but definitely looked like a shop that could handle a nearly century old mantle clock. The owner said give him three months. At three months I called and he said he had looked at it but still trouble shooting. Here's the thing, having the clock, my grandfather's clock, was the important thing. Having it work like "clockwork" would be a bonus but not if I risked this place going out of business. So after another three months I decided to go in and if he hadn't fixed it I would thank him for his time, pay him for whatever analysis he had done, and retrieve my clock. Well bottom line, he basically did not want to return it to me. He didn't actually refuse but he kept tinkering with it for probably two hours, telling me it was maybe this thing wrong, or that thing wrong, but to leave it with him and he would continue working it. I agreed to this (big mistake). So after 11 months of him holding my clock I went back to the shop where he tells me it's fixed. We had put in an original stipulation that he would do a maximum of $500 work into it, but he plugged it in, showed me the second hand was keeping time, charged me the $500 and away I went. I plugged it in at home and for the next ~2 hours it worked, then the hands stopped moving (except the second hand, figures). I called him up and basically he is asking all these questions, so I responded why didn't he check it before telling me it was fixed and charging me $500. Basically he wants me to return the clock and let him work on it again. I am not going to do that, I have my clock back and I am going to write this review so that you don't get ripped off like I did.
