Raymond is absolutely the best! Look no further. He has the most unique selection of watches, bands, clocks, grandfather clocks, etc. I came in for a simple battery change on one of my designer watches and he had me in and out in less than a few minutes! You can tell he's very passionate about his job and takes fantastic care of his customers. Bringing all my watches to Raymond from now on!

    It's alive!!

Cartier wrist watch now broken ...

I had been taking my Cartier watch to Clock World for over fifteen years . I took it to the owner eight months ago, as my watch was losing five minutes a week, approx a minute a day. The owner knows the watch after all these years. He said " You need to wind it more " I know my watch, and how to wind it after all these years. When Raymond - I think that's his name - took the watch from me he looked at it, and the time was 4:05. He proceeded to wind it very very tight. I asked him at the time why he was winding it so much. he said it needs to be wound more. He did not charge me as all he did was wind the watch. however when I got home the time was still 4:05. I tried to see if it was indeed wound. It was wound so tight you couldn't even wind it at all. It's been eight months, and it stuck at 4:05. Ive been back to store ten times, no one there. I've left five voice messages,on phone , now his box is full. this watch is expensive, and is now broken. I took it to Cartier, they couldn't believe how tightly it was wound. He Raymond wound it so tight the mainspring may be broken. I'm angry . I've had this watch for thirty some years, and it's always worked great. I always took it to Clock World for cleaning, and crystal cleaning. He is nowhere to be found. I used to like him, but he destroyed my watch .

    The time.

Can't fix our clock! Asked for money back and he does not want to do it even though Ray's work has a two year guarantee. Ray came over a total of 5 times. Never could fix it. Our Howard Miller is either fast or slow. When Ray came over to take it to repair it, he said he could get it to stay on time. He brought it back, cleaned up the lose plastic around the wood and supposedly fixed the time. Before Ray touched our clock it was 4 minutes slow. Now it's 9 minutes to 14 minutes slow. After his 5th visit because we asked for some of our money back, Ray told me how to turn the pendulum wheel one time a day to speed up or slow down. It does not work, either way. I don't know what he did, but he did not fix it and $500 was way too much for a bad repair job. If you guarantee your work and you don't fix the item, and you don't return a partial refund, then I think your business is unethical.

Awesome experience taking my 3 watches in. Had some issues with my current stainless band and he not only fixed it but had to do a little custom grinding or cutting to get it flush again. Looks brand new! Happy to take my watches here every time. A+ job, effort, and price :)

Hi, I got a call saying my watch was ready 2 weeks ago, and since then I've stopped by the store a few times during the posted hours and it was closed. Ive called at least 2-3 times a day and have gotten no answer. How can I reach you to pick it up?

Hi Isabel, I experienced the same just this month. But I brought my watch for repair mid February 2024. I was promised 2 weeks, but now a month later still no communication and found a sign on the door "Temporarily Closed".…

Are they still open I cannot reach them by phone?

I think he's back open. He called me today (8/2/24) and said my clock has been repaired, and that he was open from 2pm to 6pm. I will pick it up on Monday--

I needed to get my boots' soles replaced and was thinking about completely swapping the soles too. Mak provided me a reasonable quote for the rebuild and was also very knowledgeable in the shoe care tips he shared with me. He said he would complete an entire rebuild of both leather boots' soles within the day, and I was able to come before closing time to pick them up. I accepted and left my boots and contact information. Separately from my experience with the shoe repair, a couple came in after me to do a watch repair as I was leaving. Within seconds, Mak was able to identify the problem and said it'd take 10 minutes to fix. Talk about someone who knows their craft very well! He sent a text less than 2.5 hours later letting me know they was ready for pickup. I came before the store closed to pick them up. The boots' soles were revitalized, I put them on and walked around the store with them. I was very happy. Mak is awesome, gets your shoe repair done quickly with reasonable prices, and I will absolutely going to Mak for any shoe repairs I may have in the future!

I have two watches that stopped working--one about 25 years old, the other about 40 years old. I probably paid about $50-$100 each for them, but they have a lot of sentimental value. I had to get the movements replaced on both. It wasn't cheap (one had to be special ordered and cost 4X what I originally paid for the watch), but they are as good as new now. They have gained a lifelong customer.

I called in advance and GWR staff (Jack) advised it was something they could complete in 10-15 minutes. Once they handed the watch back to me, I noticed several deep gouges around the case and case back/cap. I was shocked and immediately brought this to staff's attention. The staff noted one should expect gouges with battery replacements and/or case opening (Unbelievable to hear). Afterwards, the tech took my watch to the back noting he would discuss with their watch maker. Hearing the polisher/buffer running, I immediately told them to stop. Those in the watch hobby acknowledge that polishing in general is best avoided as it can deform/wear out the watch case. Per GWR's claim as "experienced Swiss graduate watchmakers", I'm stunned at the poor quality of work and skill, lack of customer service, and dishonesty. I've taken other time pieces to watchmakers in other locales and have never had such a poor experience. I will never recommend GWR to anyone and would advise others looking for watch repair to look elsewhere.

Everything felt rushed, impersonal, and mass-produced. After doing a lot of research, we found La Bijouterie. From our very first appointment, the experience felt personal and relaxed. We came back multiple times, asked Set (the owner) countless questions, and he happily walked us through the entire diamond process so we felt truly informed. We also went back and forth over email, more times than I can count, to get every detail just right. I was initially a little hesitant because I wanted a fairly classic three-stone ring, and La Bijouterie specializes in custom work, but I had very specific preferences around proportions, and we wanted an experience that felt enjoyable and genuinely customer-focused. La Bijouterie was exactly what we were looking for, with reasonable pricing that kept us within our desired budget. We couldn't be happier with both the ring and the experience, and we now recommend La Bijouterie to all of our friends who are starting their ring search. Thank you, Set and team!
