This place is so incredible and cute! Quirky clock shop with fast repairs - I came in this morning hoping to get my new Kate Spade watch resized to be smaller. I had checked this place with a few others on Yelp in FiDi and decided this had the highest reviews. Glad I made the right choice, Raymond took my watch; two tries and 10 minutes later, it fit perfectly. He quoted me at a rate 1/2 of what the others charge and I was a dollar short in cash. I brought my Tag watch to have the battery replaced and waterproofed about 1 year ago. I had a great experiance the first time I made a visit to Clock World. 1 year later the battery died again. This was strange because my first battery lasted over 4 years. I called clock world and told the guy what happened and he said no problem, bring it in. I brought it in thinking he would replace the faulty battery he put in my watch but instead he replaced it charged me $15 and didn't waterproof it. The batteries Clock world used are low quality and only last about 1 year. If you have a nice watch I would recommend going elsewhere especially if you want the battery to last longer then a year and have it waterproofed. read more

I really like to patronize sole proprietorships, especially when the owners are as wonderful as Raymond at Clockworld. I was referred to Clockworld from a nice person at Zee Continental on Polk who was not able to replace my watch battery because it is a foreign battery. Cudos to him too. He said try Clockworld, around the corner on Pine just off Polk. So I did. Raymond has a small little shop that is nothing fancy, but he fixes and repairs on the spot if possible, and he does it with tremendous expertise and concern. He also noticed that my watch's second hand skips every three seconds and tried a few times to tweak it until it was perfected. So when I walked in I asked the owner (assuming, pretty sure this guy is an incredible one-man show) how long he thought the turn around would be on replacing the battery. He said, "a few minutes". First, I signed up to write my very first Yelp review because of this place. Second, one of the pins in boyfriend's leather watch band fell off. The day before I was going to take it to Clock World, the battery in my watch died. It took nearly five minutes to fix both for $10. Third, I brought my 30-pound dog into the store while we waited for the two watches to be fixed. The guy at the counter was friendly and didn't make me feel rushed, even though the job was quick. I've gone to Clock World for a number of different issues. Raymond is a miracle worker. This week I took in my watch with a new band. He noticed that the band didn't match exactly so he took fixed it. And only charged me $12. He's replaced clock movements for me and guarantees them for a year. He also makes sure you know to replace the batteries every year. It was obvious that one of the batteries had blown up and ruined the clock. Thanks to Raymond, I know how to take better care. The only difficulty I had is that he doesn't open before 1 pm. But he's totally worth it! read more

Raymond - awesome, quiet, quick, affordable and gets the job done. 4 watches all dead at the same time (of course). Walk in and ask how long. Today was the response. He fixed my favorite watch that I wear every day in ten minutes. The other three watches will be done by the end of the day. Each battery replacement was around $8-$10 each. Not cheap watches either. Love how does not make a big deal out of how the nice watches will cost more bullshit. The only comment he made was "nice watch - you wait". Thank you. I will be back. AWESOME. read more

I was looking for a place to get my fiance's watch fixed. While it isn't an expensive watch, it has tremendous sentimental value as it's from his grandmother with whom he was very close. Long story short - I needed to get the band replaced/fixed after another local SF watch repair place had done a shoddy job. I looked up Clock World on Yelp and went there immediately. The guy (presumably the owner) was extremely helpful. He had a good selection of bands, but none were exactly what I was looking for. I explained that I wanted more of a brushed silver finish. He had a band whose style I liked, but the finish was too shiny. He said he could buff it to give it the desired finish. Done and done. He told me to come back in a 1/2 hour to pick it up. I went back to pick it up a short while later. The watch was PERFECT. To top it all off, the price tag of the band was $28 and he charged me a total of $30 for the band, the buffing and the labor to fix it. Only $2 for the labor?! I couldn't believe it! I ended up tipping him $10 because I was so impressed with his work and his helpfulness. Even at $40, it was a total bargain. My fiance was nearly in tears when he saw it. read more

What a super nice guy! I took several watches in for repair and he fixed all of them in such a timely matter. He is very knowledgeable on all types of watches and will let you know before hand how much it is. Very affordable too! A watch battery from Radio Shack costs $5.99 plus you have to have the tools. He will change your battery and do a light cleaning for $7! read more

Took a bunch of watches in for new batteries and the shop owner was so nice. The regular battery rate is very reasonable ($8, I believe), but he gave me a discount because I had ten watches. Had them all done w/in a couple hours. I remember last time I got my Hamilton watch battery replaced downtown, it took a few days and they charged me around $30! So, about a year ago I came here based on Yelpers to replace watch batteries for two watches and remove some links on another. The shop owner was super nice and did it on the spot in 15 minutes, so I was very satisfied. Well, one watch died a few months ago and the other watch is now running slow (meaning battery is draining). This is such a bummer.
