I think I found the best coffee in Bay Ridge! You have to understand my morning. I live in Stony Brook so when the stars are aligned and there is no traffic on the Belt I can order a great cuppa coffee before work. I park across the street and was the first one in the small establishment. I see two gents hustling behind the counter and zero in on the baked goods. I'm not understanding the spiced lattes but after a few times, I'll try the Cardamom latte but for now I'm sticking with a Flat White and a freshly baked croissant. The flat white I ordered? Perfecto. If a good cup of coffee costs the same as a chain coffee slop they serve to the masses, I'll take a well crafted coffee from Clockface Coffee to start my day. My review for their teas, and especially their iced teas. All summer long I have lived off of their Arnold Palmer's. It's a perfect blend of black tea and lemonade. Not too sweet, and not bitter. We've also tried their watermelon drink and other tea flavors -- all delicious. The coffee is OK. I can take it or leave it -- but the iced teas are refreshing and flavorful. The place itself is very small. There is no sitting room so you essentially pick up your drink and go. There is a small standing bar by a window but with social distancing guidelines it's probably only enough for one person (maybe two). Otherwise, in nice weather, there is a small bench to sit on outside, and sometimes they have a table opened up for patrons. It's a really charming little coffee shop with an excellent array of different types of drinks. It's worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. read more

The bright blue paint and the giant COFFEE on the exterior of the shop really caught my attention. Once inside, the decor, cleanliness and calm vibe made me glad I stopped by. I got a simple drip coffee and it was served quickly by the barista at the counter. The coffee was hot, strong and the coffee cups were adorned with cute, hand stamped logos. In an area that is seeing an emergence of young professionals, students and foodies, this is a perfect spot to stop in for coffee or tea break. The also had small tables and a street facing bar ideal for work and studying. While I did not go for a fancier option, I did overhear the barista discussing delicious sounding hand crafted drinks to patrons. I was also offered a loyalty card to come back, with my tenth drink being free. This was a great way to not only increase exposure and business in a new shop, but make customers feel valued. One of the best coffee spots I have had in a long time. I happened to find this place by chance being in the neighborhood and needed an afternoon coffee. It was small, but very welcoming. The barista quickly made our drinks and all of them were delicious. I had the toasted marshmallow latte and it was as good as it sounds. It was delicious, satisfied my caffeine fix, and was reasonably priced. I was shocked at how good it was for the price and value. Ordered my go to - a light ice caramel oatmilk latte and it was mighty delicious and refreshing. This is everything a café should be. Guys behind the counter are super friendly, patient and knowledgeable about their coffee. I love that when you say light ice, they show you how much ice they are putting in before they make the drink to make sure you're OK with it. I had a hair appointment today and wanted to take a coffee home with me so I stopped by Clockface. I got an iced maple latte w/ almond milk and a chili cheese palmier for my breakfast. The coffee was delicious, it was strong but just enough for my liking and the maple flavor was really good! It's not a flavor I usually stumble upon so I was happy with that choice. The palmier was delicious; the barista warmed it up for me (about a 5 min wait). It had a very slight spice to it but it was crispy, cheesy, and hit the spot. The barista was super friendly and got my coffee done quickly. Keep in mind, there's a 3 person capacity at the moment so I did have to wait outside for a couple of minutes. read more

I ordered the Maple Latte and it has a really great flavor of maple however I wish the espresso would be a little stronger. I drink coffee and espresso everyday so I would really like the espresso to be the star of the show. However, next time I'd be sure to order a double shot my next visit. They have a variety of coffees, lattes and even non-caffeine options. They also have a points rewards card that gets you a free drink after X amount of purchases.
