When I arrived, the desk lady was most cordial and helpful and while I was talking to her a gent came up and assured me they would get to me as soon as a room opened. Not sure if it was my age (78) or what but that was nice. I waited about 15 min and was in to a room where a young lady did all the normal. The doctor was exceptionally thorough and concerned with my condition. We discussed and settled on next steps. I was really impressed with the doctor's care and I've had plenty of experience on the patient side of the practice of medicine. Wish she was my primary.

Luckily for me, Guardian Family Care doesn't actually take insurance, but instead has a very, very, affordable monthly plan which includes visits anytime I need them. There is no messy insurance paperwork/deductible/co-pay/etc, and if they have the medication or shot you need in house, they'll take care of you on the spot! * Vaccinations for my trip to India? Check! * Immediate treatment and medication for a terrible allergic reaction to a spider bite in my cheek? Check! * Getting me in for blood tests when I was passing out almost daily and teaching me about my blood sugar issues? Done! (and now my blood sugar seems to have leveled out pretty well) * Free tetanus shot at the same time my fiance had an appointment just because I was overdue for one? Absolutely! Simply put, the doctors Morgan (Dr. Robert and Dr. Nancy) have definitely saved my bacon on numerous occasions, for which I am very grateful. As this is the first time i had heard about it, i tried to ask questions. Can you provide me an example of what i have said or done that was disrespectful? What if my husband brings our child from now on? Is it just you or can my child see others here? I was told they couldnt see any of the pediatrics there and even having my husband bring them wouldnt change things. I was not provided any specific examples of what i had done wrong that was so disrespectful they refused to see my child anymore. I asked to speak with a supervisor to understand the concerns. I explained to the medical assistant that I was angry at Optum, but not at the staff because they had always been kind to me. I also explained that I have brain damage to my hippocampus, so it was difficult to control my emotions if I became upset. That assistant (who would not give me her name, a guilty conscience, perhaps?) proceeded to treat me coldly and without any empathy. Of course that was upsetting to me. I began crying and she began threatening me with "security" or "police". I asked multiple times just to see the medical professional for my appointment and she refused. Apparently, while she was gone to get "security", she must have told the rest of the staff that I was the problem because she came back with a huge guy named Derek D. and told me that my appointment would not be honored. I wish I had a photograph of the smirk on her face when she said that. Honestly, I still believe that the ARNP (Uman Gahlot) and the MD (Dr. Nelson) are actually kind people and if they had spent 5 minutes with me the situation would have ended. The assistant, Ms. No One Identifiable, had made sure that option was blocked to me. I was escorted out of the building by another big, burly guy. While in the parking lot, I called the police myself and informed them that The Optum Clinic, Silver Lake, had refused to let me keep my appointment. Then I left. Honestly, I've never been treated to badly by a medical clinic in my entire life. Then they had the gall to send me a message today that I could sign up for another provider! Believe me, they could not PAY me enough to ever go there again. I've decided, since my great doctor, Dr. Murphy, left Optum Mukilteo in 2022, that I have several better options. After I recover from the trauma caused by this assistant, I will be writing to Optum's CEO in Minnesota and letting him know how displeased I am with Optum in general. I had to ask them 3 times before they attended to me. People who came after me were attended to before me. This is after canceling my first appointment on Nov 12th just a few hours before the appointment. They just texted me on the morning of the appointment saying my appointment is canceled and I had to call them back twice before I got another appointment and that was more than a month away on Dec 16th. I just saw another review for Dr. Goldsmith that says that she does not show up for appointments and is bad with following up on patients. The reason I went for and the prescription to be sent to my pharmacy was not sent despite calling and letting them know twice. There's no access to the doctor once you are seen. It's also the doctor's responsibility to make sure this is done and it does not seem like they care. After I called and left a message the second time the medical assistant called me and literally shouted at me saying she is done her job and there was an issue with the pharmacy despite me trying to explain that my other doctor sends prescriptions here all the time and I have never had an issue and also the pharmacy going out of their way to check on it. Have never had this kind of experience visiting a doctor's office. People always go out of their way to make the patient comfortable. Will never go back or recommend this clinic to anyone. This is not the way to treat patients who have come to see a doctor for an illness. I never write reviews and never a negative one as I know how hard people work to keep a business running.
