I was planning an event and was looking to cater Chinese food. I did some shopping around and determined that this place had reasonable prices. If you cater, you get half tray for 3x the quart prices. The best thing was that I was able to order the night before so I could pick up when they open the next day. The lady was friendly and they made good on their order - I paid in advance (not required). Is typical take out Chinese food, nothing out of the ordinary. There is a shared parking lot. Jade Dragon has been our "go to" Chinese "take out" spot for the past 10+ years. Very recently, the food has changed, for the worse. The steamed pork dumplings that used to be outstanding, are now very doughy and chewy. Their supreme soup for two no longer contains Krill, and the past 2 orders of General Tao's Chicken were so over cooked that the meat had the consistency of wood. We had hoped it was just a "bad day" but the last two orders were equally bad. They say change is good but not in this instance. Time to find another Chinese take-out place. read more

Our go to Chinese take out spot. Consistent and flavorful food, but not overly salty and saucy- which is great. The staff is friendly and works hard. It's a very simple shop, but welcoming and has good parking on the main road out front and in a separate parking lot. They make great dinner combos and will let you tailor your order. Their fried wontons are delicious and a fave for my family, and I also enjoy the lemon chicken special. read more

Portion sizes - good . Everything else - not good. I ordered for my team lunch a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees. The man ensured me everything was accurate when I picked up the order. When I got to work and opened the order - we realized 1 order was missing, 1 order did not come with the requested pork fried rice, and the chow mein had no noodles in it. On top of that - the vegetarian dishes were cooked with chicken broth (as confirmed by the staff and manager). I'm just not very keen on a vegetarian dish being cooked with meat products- why are you providing vegetarian options if it's truly not vegetarian? The manager would not even try to rectify the situation, and I'm just at a total loss for words. Lastly- the staff preparing the food were not wearing gloves. As per the FDA- you are supposed to wear gloves when you are handling ready-to-eat food. I saw lack of glove use when I first when to pick up the food and then on a second occasion when I had to pick up the order that was forgotten. You call in for pick-up, takes about 25 mins TOPS for it to be ready, and they give you a number. I couldn't get pass two bites of rice. At least the egg roll "good". I should have eaten that after the meal instead of beforehand. PSA: CASH ONLY So I've been coming here for many years, my family loves it. I love their egg drop soup and my sister thinks that their chicken and broccoli is the best around (she usually orders the extra chicken for $1 more). Despite the quality of their food, I am very disappointed in Jade Dragon. They do not accept cash. When I was ordering for pickup nobody on the phone told me that it was cash only. Also, they do not have a website, so no warning about the no credit rule there. It is not the fact that they do not accept cards that irks me, it is the fact that they give no warning whatsoever. In addition, a hair was found in our lo mein. All in all, I would come back here again. Your basic Chinese take out restaurant. Didn't find anything to be entirely spectacular or entirely terrible. The shrimp with vegetables with white sauce was good. The chow fun was good as was the shrimp fried rice. The general tso's chicken was too saucy. The menu lacks some of the better Chinese options like scallion pancakes, chicken and corn soup, or sautéed veggies. I asked them if they had sautéed bok choy and they said yes, but it turned out to be sautéed cabbage in a white sauce. read more

I used to go to China Wok until I found this nice place. The food is really flavorful and they give a good amount for the price. My go-to is the sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and egg roll. You should definitely come here if you're looking for inexpensive combination platters. Their customer service is also great! We were in a rush to get food for our family and we were in the neighborhood, so we stopped here. First of all, they only accept cash/check. This was inconvenient and had to pool all our ones to male sure we had enough. We ordered three dishes and it came out to 32.00. It was a little pricey for what we received and it was your standard, nothing special Chinese dishes. One thing that kind of ruined my meal was I ordered a $12 crispy sesame beef. It was not crispy and actually quite chewy. I do not recommend that dish. Everything else was standard. read more

Food tastes great and isn't too greasy. I ordered their orange chicken and for once, you can taste oranges and you can see the orange zest that they used in the dish. I also really liked their lomein. The noodles they use are a bit thinner and less soggy than other places. read more

Here's an update... Been ordering from here consistently-once a week, every week for a few months when I work in the area... Every single time I call, they are so courteous and friendly and efficient. Just super nice. Food-is really very consistent n not as oily or greasy as some other take out places. Had high hopes based on some reviews but it was probably the worst Chinese I have ever had. No good flavor, just bad smell.

I work at a large psych hospital nearby and have had Chinese food from all of the other places nearby (Wing Lee, Tin's House, etc.) Although Jade Dragon only does take out, it is in my opinion the best of all the Chinese food places in the area. Jade Dragon's food tastes less chemical-like and fresher than the other places. They are also open on Christmas day since I ordered lunch this past year from them as I was working with my Jewish co-worker and it is our tradition to eat a pastrami sandwich or Chinese take out. Price & quality earns them 3 stars. The no delivery and no menu online is what kills two stars from me. I am adding photos of their menu for the benefit of my fellow patrons. read more

I don't really get that. I would rate this as a 3.5 but since Yelp continues to fight allowing half-stars, I have no choice but to go up to 4 stars. Stumbled into this place with the help of yelp. Ordered the basics...wonton soup, beef & broccoli, spring rolls, egg rolls. Pretty tasty and no complaints from my family so that makes it a win-win. I have been getting take out from Jade Dragon for 10+ years. The food is consistent, tasty, and portions are large. I appreciate that they don't oversalt or use too much cornstarch. My favorites are egg drop wonton soup (wontons are delish), eggplant and beef, and shredded pork in garlic sauce. Would recommend! read more

Pretty standard American Chinese take out joint, and the best in close proximity to my house. Cash only, but the food is consistently decent and usually ready in fairly short order, plus reasonably priced. I eat here about once a month, as I live nearby. IMO opinion Joyce Chinese, which is about five miles away, is superior food, but also about twice as expensive. Since I am cheap I eat at Jade Dragon more often. Like other reviewers have said, nothing is terrible, but nothing will knock your socks off either. Staff is always hard at work, but prompt to provide service. Dinner entrees run around $10.
