Wing Lee has been my family's go to Chinese spot since I was a little girl. The food is fresh, tasty, and the portions are great. The prices are fair, and there are coupons online that you must print out and show in person. The food is oily, but I don't think it's anymore oily than other spots. Like many others have said this place can be hit or miss but has been consistent recently. My boyfriend wasn't feeling so hot last night so we decided to order up some Chinese and get this boy some egg drop soup goodness to kick start killing this cold. The woman over the phone is very nice and makes sure she got your order correctly before hanging up the phone. We ordered a sweet and sour chicken combination with pork fried rice and an egg roll, pork lo mein, a pint of chicken of broccoli and a sprite. Food arrived hot and fresh within 20 mins of ordering. The sweet and sour chicken was a little over done and greasy but I pretty much ordered chicken nuggets so I expect that. The egg drop soup was spot on and warmed him up rite away. The lo mein and chicken and broccoli was the same as any other Chinese restaurant nothing crazy or to brag about but still tasty. Overall a good place to grab a quick bite to eat at the last min. I was very skeptical when I walked into the tiny location to get some Chinese take-out and was expecting fast-food quality, BUT what I discovered was the best Chinese food I have ever had in NJ, with quality ingredients and a nice balance of flavor. The thing that distinguishes the quality of Wing Lee the most is that I could actually taste the food. It was not saturated with salt in the sauces and soups, like most Chinese restaurants. I have only found one other place that makes Chinese food like this and it is in California. The veggies were clearly fresh and my entire family enjoyed the experience. We ordered General Tso Chicken, Chicken and Cashews, Egg Rolls (not too greasy, like other places), Spare Ribs (which had a lot of meat on them and minimal grizzle) and WonTon Soup. I recommend that choose Wing Lee for dinner, you order take-out rather than eat at the location because it is a small place with not much ambiance. But the food is fantastic. Very happy. I ordered vegetable lo mein, and they served me fried rice instead...when I went back to politely say the order was incorrect, the girl at the desk gave me a hard time that it was MY fault, and then charged me an extra dollar to make the correct order, when they didn't get it right the first time!! Bad business, bad food, and horrendous customer service. Do yourself a favor and go one town over to Hillsdale where you'll be served by polite employees with manners that don't serve you a container of grease (which they put in the bag UPSIDE DOWN so the liquid spilled all over the place). My rating of Wing Lee then is for this area, and I have found Wing Lee to be more than solid. Shrimp w Lobster is outstanding, and Chick w broccoli and pepper steak are other favorites. Knock on wood lately this place has been pretty good...and consistent. I have been a regular customer for over 15 years, but I don't know if I will ever go back. They have not handled the pandemic effectively at all. They are understaffed, as are many restaurants, but they give time estimates for food that are way, way off, resulting in very long waits, up to double the estimated time. This has become a consistent problem, which shows that they should be aware of the necessary time but won't tell customers how long it will really take. In addition, the error rate on orders has increased significantly. This is a shame, since this was my standard for many years. read more

I've been ordering from Wing Lee for a couple of years now. With the exception of a few incidents where perhaps my drink was forgotten, the food is always outstanding. Have been disappointed, every time... Then, a neighbor recommended Wing Lee. A bit of a drive for me, but... WTF, I tried it. Not bad at all. I will never order from this place again. Yesterday my husband had pork chow mein and I had lobster lo mein. My husband said his dish had no taste - it was terrible. And he is not fussy at all. My "lobster" lo mein had no lobster in it, nor did it have any vegetables. Disgustingly, what they were passing off as lobster looked a lot like maggots. And our dinner was not cheap.
