On the positive side, the staff were consistently friendly, kind, and clearly care about the dogs. They created a welcoming environment, and we appreciated their kindness. Unfortunately, the experience itself didn't quite work out for us. Our dog is an intact male, and he ended up in a group with all females, one of whom had recently gone through a heat cycle. The facility allows females who have recently been in heat, but unfortunately their scent just isn't conducive to a group social setting like this, especially for young intact males. The first week this happened we assumed it was just a temporary challenge and gave it the benefit of the doubt, but the issue continued during our next session. The scent was simply too distracting for him- and even other females were distracted by the scent. Our dog who normally socializes well in other group settings, became too fixated and overstimulated for any type of learning or appropriate social interaction. We really tried to give this facility a fair shot and came back again hoping for a better experience, but ultimately our dog had to remain leashed the entire session time, which completely defeats the purpose of a social/play session. We have now found a facility with stricter guidelines around females in heat.

The classes cover a wide range of essential topics from basic commands like sit, stay, to more advanced topics like loose-leash walking and impulse control. I messed up and had to change the date and they responded with "no problem, we adjusted, look forward to speaking to you." When we finally had our phone consultation both my husband and I fell in love with Ursula's bubbly personality and knowledge. She spoke to us about our dog's issues and made some suggestions for immediate help and then suggested a trainer for anxiety. But we wanted to make sure we could try with her first so we are setting up an in person as we feel she can definitely help us and our dog. They are responsive, understanding and truly care. Ursula listened carefully to our concerns and gave us great suggestions and feedback. So I cannot recommended them highly enough just based on that. BUT I know we will love her when we start training (and I'll definitely update my review!)

During a recent pedicure at Angel Nails, I noticed the Zoom Room so I told my husband about it and he signed us up for a free intro class. Upon arrival we were greeted by the sweetest person and the front desk. She got us checked in and took our pup's first day photo - adorable. After getting checked in we waited and browsed their merchandise which included a lot of training treat options that we hadn't seen before. When it was time for class to begin, we got settled at our station. The trainer was kind and funny and taught us a few new things. Our puppy was very excited and interested in the other dogs but we eventually got her to pay attention to us about halfway through the class. Overall we had a good experience, but did find class to be a bit distracting with the various puppies and parents in attendance. We may consider returning for private training sessions in the future.

Biscuit and I met with John and the family, they were so wonderful to talk to and they've set up great spaces for the daycare so we gave it a try! It's worked out great. Since they keep the pack small, Biscuit gets dog socializing and outdoor time without being overwhelmed like at big daycares. He also gets tons of love from the owners, and can relax indoors when he's feeling lazy or cuddly..and I get regular photo and video updates during my day! John picks up and drops off while I'm at work which is super convenient too. I'm so grateful to John and April for giving Biscuit so much joy and bringing me some peace of mind.
