Drifter took a break for FUN during training on this night!
    Pdx L.

Our puppy Drifter just graduated from Great Puppy. We can't say enough about the training program and excellent instruction from Matt. Even though our classes were virtual, it felt as if Matt was in the room as we practiced. His videos and training tips via email following each class were also extremely helpful! Wonder Puppy helped train our first dog 10 years ago- it was so great back then we returned to even better programs!

Wonder Puppy is amazing, I wish I'd discovered them sooner so we could have taken advantage of the services they offer for puppies. My corgi boy has done the Good Puppy and Reliable puppy classes with Matt Langel and absolutely loved it. He's learned so much from Matt as have I. We're looking forward to hopefully taking Great Puppy once Matt has a weekend slot available and also Zen Puppy. All of the staff at Wonder Puppy are great but my pup has a great connection with Matt and his great positive energy! Thanks Matt and Wonder Puppy!

I can not say enough about this business, from the puppy play group to the three classes our pup has now finished. The staff is amazing and it seems like they can get your dog to do anything with a sweet voice and a treat. I have learned a lot about my dog and her behaviors as well as learning patience for myself. We look forward to the next couple of classes, and a well rounded socially appropriate puppy.

Frankie during Good Puppy at about 2.5 months old!

My fiancé and I went through Social Puppy and Christina Perez's Good Puppy & Great Puppy classes with our corgi, Frankie. This is our first dog and we wanted to do things right. Christina is an absolutely PHENOMENAL trainer who puts dogs' needs first. She was always willing to meet our pup where he was at that day. She really gets to know the dogs she works with in order to better help them & their humans! In addition to the invaluable skills Frankie has learned, we have learned so much about what we need to work on at home and how to improve our training skills! We have decided to take a break from obedience training and have signed up for Tricky Puppy. We will ABSOLUTELY be back for the Wonder Puppy class once Frankie hones in on his Great Puppy skills. I really can't thank this place enough. They have given me the tools & confidence I need to continue training at home! This is absolutely the place to go for puppy parenting needs. Thank you so much, Wonder Puppy!

The folks at Wonder Puppy are just incredible and their methods WORK. We have done private 1-on-1 training with Katie Van Raden, a handful of Social Puppy classes, and just finished the remote series of Good Puppy with Katie as well. If I could give 6 stars, I would. In the midst of some major puppy blues, we first came to Wonder Pup for a private session Katie Van Raden. She was knowledgeable, patient, unbelievably kind, and generous with her time and efforts. We left feeling set up for success and immediately signed up for her remote section of Good Puppy. And again it was a wonderful experience - Good Puppy gave us a solid foundation and tools for success going forward. We just moved out of state, so we are so grateful for remote offerings! We plan on doing the next remote Great Puppy as well as remote 1-on-1's to address more specific training topics.

My husband and I have two puppies. We got one in August and one in December of 2019. We had so many friends, coworkers, clients that took their puppies here and highly recommended it. We started out going to a few Social Puppy sessions with our older puppy and she had a blast. As soon as we got our second pup, we took her to the Social Puppy sessions right away. She was much more shy than our first pup so we signed her up for a few Day Camp sessions and it made a WORLD of difference! She became much more confident in new environments and so much more playful at Social Puppy. We also did a private training session after getting our younger puppy. Our older pup finished the Good Puppy class in December and then went on to the Great Puppy class. We were about halfway through the Great Puppy class and plan to continue as soon as they are fully open again once COVID 19 is under control (Great Puppy is not one of the classes that the staff felt like could be taught online since the whole point is to teach your puppy through distractions). With our younger pup, we did about half of her Good Puppy class in person and then finished it out as an online version when the virus broke out. Huge props to all of the staff for so quickly changing the class from in-person to online and creating demo videos for all of the skills. They literally created the online class in less than a week so we didn't have to postpone our next regularly scheduled session. Once they're fully open, we plan to do the Great Puppy class with our younger puppy and take both dogs through the Wonder Puppy class. All of the staff that we have worked with here have been incredible. Everyone is friendly and so knowledgeable. They all make themselves available for questions after class and have great suggestions and ideas for any challenges we ever had. They have been such a huge and amazing help in training our puppies. Big thank you to Christina P, Katie, Kira, Casey, and Teri who have all been our wonderful trainers in the various classes and sessions we have done!

We love Wonder Puppy! We took Good Puppy with Terri and learned so much. It was great to go as a couple each week with our new puppy because it ensured we were on the same page and the results have been awesome! Also, built in date night! The space is awesome and the puppy socials are so fun to watch and to learn how your puppy plays. We've learned so much about socialization and how to teach our sweet pup about the world so she can be a part of our every day adventures safely and with great behavior. We look forward to succeeding in Great Puppy next!

We used Tails and Trails 3 times with mixed results. Important to know- you create detailed notes with the owner (Jeff) on how to access your building, routines, where leashes are, etc., etc., when you have your introductory visit. Our instructions ask that the handler only feeds the cats their canned food, nothing else. 1st time, week-long trip (June 2024)- handlers were 2+ hours late regularly. While this wasn't the biggest issue, we don't have a doggie door and that level of lateness pushed the pup's bathroom breaks longer than we're comfortable. But, we liked the service offered and adjusted how often we scheduled handler visits for the second and third visits. 2nd time, 1 week of walks while both of us were gone for longer than 8 hours (September 2024)- Great! Annie (I'm not disclosing employees' full names for their privacy) had no problems and was very helpful. 3rd time, overnight away- 4 visits requested: Sat afternoon and evening; Sun am and afternoon (October 2024)- Day 1- We left the house at 8 am and scheduled feeding/walk visits for about 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Around 1:25 pm, Chloe (office manager) texted me to ask if we had scheduled for 7:00 am that day. When we said we hadn't, a communication between Chloe and a handler led to the 1:00 pm visit being skipped. We talked with Chloe that evening and she said the handler would roll the afternoon and evening visits together, apologized for the miscommunication between herself and the handler, and credited our account for the mistake (all great). The handler arrived around 7:00 pm. They had a difficult time accessing the building so Chloe texted us to say the handler would hang out for a little longer before leaving if they couldn't get access. Once they did get into the building, they couldn't find the food or leash. The access information, food instructions, and where the leashes are were all in the instructions. The handler fed the pets and took the pup for a 15-min potty break. Since we were only gone for a night, we didn't book anyone to stay overnight. We considered cutting the trip short and wish we had. Day 2- Oscar was our handler. We got notifications that both visits were completed and everything seemed to have gone smoothly. When we got home, a glass jar with cat treats had been taken from the closed closet and left open on the counter. When we got home, there were treats all over the counter and SHATTERED GLASS MIXED WITH TREATS all over the floor. All three cats had engorged stomachs. While Chloe apologized and said she'd speak with Oscar the next day, we didn't hear back from Tails and Trails' manager or owner. We'll be anxiously monitoring our furbabies for a few more days.

We tried multiple other training classes and techniques in the Portland area but none of them were able to help us with Bumper's leash aggression, pulling, and stubbornness. We were at the point where we were hesitant to take him anywhere because of how naughty he was. After doing much research and reading all of the excellent reviews, we decided to try Off Leash K9 Training. Although Ryan and Mandy were located in Eugene, we decided do the two-week course where Bumper stayed with them 24/7. We had doubts about whether or not it would work because of how stubborn our kiddo was, but he came back a different dog! No he is not perfect and he still acts out, but he is soooooo much better than before and we feel comfortable taking him out in public. Ryan and Mandy even extended his training for an additional week at no cost because he wasn't making the progress they had hoped he would. When we finally picked up Bumper after the three weeks, Ryan spent over two-hours with my wife and I to go over Bumper's trainings and commands. He was very patient and did a great job explaining everything. Yes the training is very expensive, more than I ever thought I'd pay for dog training, but the benefits of a well behaved beagle are priceless. Ryan and Mandy also run a dog rescue on site so it was great to know Bumper would not be alone. We will definitely be using Ryan and Mandy again for all of our training needs. Thank you!
