They have a lot of repeat clients who book in advance, so it's best to make an appointment--when you're scheduled, they never rush. If you walk in, they might move a little quicker just because they usually have scheduled bookings. They honor their 2-week no-chip policy on gel nails and don't sneak in any upcharges. Their prices are clearly listed, and everyone is polite and friendly. I never feel awkward or uncomfortable here, which is huge. argued with me the whole time I was there that acrylic is better for nails than dip. proceeded to remove the existing acrylic on my nail. hurt me many times. soaked for just a short time and tried tor remove the acrylic layer by shoving it underneath with a nail tip! hurt me more! Everyone at Cloud9 is an expert. They do brilliant work for all who come in for a manicure and/or pedicure and/or any procedure, and they are kind and friendly people who are dedicated and hard-working. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi with Devan, who was recommended to me by a good friend. My daughter was getting married in 2 days and I was walking her down the aisle. I arrived for my appointment and checked in. A woman told me to choose my 2 polish colors, then directed me to a chair. She didn't start the massage chair (I tried, but obviously didn't know how to work it because it wasn't my property) and started washing my feet. I spoke up and said I had made my appointment with Devan. She ignored me. She tried making small talk with me, but it was obvious that she didn't really care about my answers. I know this because she asked for details about myself and I said I was divorced. Later she asked me what my husband did for a career. I stopped her and said, "No offense to you, but I made this appointment with Devan." She grunted and ignored me. I stopped her and said I wanted Devan. She finally paid attention and asked if I wanted Devan. I said yes. She said he was busy, then started back on my pedicure. I saw Devan when I first walked in. He was heating something up in the microwave in the next room. One minute after she said he was busy, he came out and started doing a pedicure on a woman who had just walked in. I was flabbergasted. Then the woman asked me if the color on my toes was okay. I said no. I had chosen silver glitter and she had applied rose glitter. She said it was silver. I said it wasn't. She went and got the nail sample I had chosen and compared then said it was the one she was putting on me. I burst into tears. I didn't want gel polish. She said yes, gel no chip. I argued. She didn't care. When I started crying Devan came over and said that the color in the sample isn't always how it comes out. Another woman working at the salon came over and told the woman doing my nails to use something else. She did and still wasn't right, but I just didn't have the energy to fight anymore. Then it was time for the pedicure. She asked how short I wanted my fingernails. I said I didn't want them cut. I had spent weeks growing them long. I told her I just wanted them shaped, not clipped and not shortened. She asked if I wanted square or rounded nails. I said rounded. She grabbed my hand and clipped my ring finger nail off and asked like this? I was horrified. There was no putting it back. I shrugged. The polish color was okay. At that point, what did it really matter?!?! She asked if I still wanted my under arms waxed and my brows waxed. I said absolutely not. I was charged $88 before tax. I paid an even $100 because it is habit to tip. I wish I hadn't. Do I recommend Devan? I have no clue. Do I recommend Cloud 9 Salon? No! read more

Okay, so I don't write reviews often, but my mom and I had a very off-putting experience here. We got our nails dipped. About fifteen minutes into the manicure, there was extremely loud construction noises. They were doing some sort of work on the other side of the salon. What seemed to be the owner lightheartedly apologized and walked away. These noises lasted the entire manicure and were so loud you couldn't even hear the nail tech talking to you. Very irritating, considering when you go to get your nails done you're looking for a relaxing and pampering experience. If it had begun at the beginning of the mani, we would've left and gone somewhere else. At the end, my nail tech checked us out and I explained how unpleasurable the experience was and I wanted to talk to the owner about a discount. She told me the owner had left. (I had just seen her five mins before) I told her I'm sure she could call her. We went back and forth a bit, and the techs were laughing about the situation... I'm not sure if that was due to being nervous, but it was extremely unprofessional. I am a regular person and always extremely nice to people in the service industry, as I have worked in it myself. But, I know what's not okay... and this wasn't okay. This was during their regular business hours... I'm not sure why they wouldn't have turned my mom and I away, or had the workers wait forty-five mins until we were done. I hardly ever get my nails done, same with mom, and this was a special occasion for us. Luckily my nail tech did a good job on my nails; my mom's were not great. We tipped the techs generously as the environmental issues weren't their fault. But I'll NEVER be back and I'll make sure to tell my friends to stay away. Very unprofessional business. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place Lim and Rose are amazing i come in and get my eyebrows done along with and mani (no Chip and it last longer then 2 weeks) and pedi at least once or twice a month. very friendly staff and would defiantly recommend them to a family or friends. and might i add this place is super clean and the prices are really good. i would call ahead for they have a lot of walk in's and you may have to come back or wait 15-20 but it's really worth the wait!! read more

I've been to Cloud 9 quite a few times! The staff is always friendly, though they are usually really busy, so it is best to call ahead and make a reservation. I usually do no-chip, and they are meticulous about making sure it is done well, with no overage onto the skin, etc. I've gone to different salons with awful results, so it's worth the drive (for me) to go to Cloud 9! read more

If I could give a negative star, I would. I used to enjoy this salon for their pedicures and recently started going there for my manicures as well. The last time I went, the gentlemen did what i thought was a good job on my nails. i got a brand new set. The next morning while washing my hair 2 of my nails peeled. the day after that two more of my nails popped off at work. i went back 3 days later and 7 of 10 of my nails had to be fixed. They encouraged the same gentlemen to repair his work. the replaced nails are longer and not the same shape as the rest of my nails, and i'm still having issues with peeling. safe to say i will not be back. read more

I visited for the first time in March, 2017 for a mani/pedi. The staff was friendly, but the service was extremely slow and the girl I had seemed very inexperienced. Also, the product overall seemed old and starting to get outdated. The polish I originally chose was too clumpy even after thinner was added, so I had to choose another color. My nails were cut different lengths on each hand and there was inconsistency in amount of polish that caused nails to be different shades of the polish. I also had to point out uneven filing on individual nails at least 4x. Nails chipped on day 2 and 4 days after manicure the polish peeled off in one large chunk on 2 other nails. Over priced and poor quality. Based on other reviews, sounds like this place was great when they first opened but they have not made effort to maintain... Based on my experience I would not recommend this place. read more

I've visited the other nail salons in the area and have received inconsistent service. This was my first time at Cloud 9. They are a little more expensive compared to the other salons, but if I get the same great service, I don't mind paying a little bit more. I got a French no chip manicure, it's already been a week and they still look great. The staff was very friendly and very nice to my 3 year old (who behaved so well I couldn't believe it). I enjoyed my experience and my nails were perfect. I will go back and hope I have the same positive experience. I've had it with the other salons in the area, it's so hit or miss. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I went in for a no chip color change yesterday and specifically said that. Once I was done she charged me for a full manicure. She didn't even do anything to my cuticles or hands but argued with me that she took care of my cuticles. She lied straight to my face!! She hadn't done anything with them. Made me pay the full 40 for the manicure even though I didn't get a manicure. Also shaped my nails without asking how I wanted them shaped. Never going back there again! If you're from sycamore it's so worth it to just make the drive to Leza Nail Spa!! read more
