Started out so strong... I was offered water and chocolate and was prepared for my services by the nicest lady ever.... then the services started. My facial was mediocre at best, I asked for a lymphatic massage but didn't notice if I got one! On to the 90 minute massage with added foot massage. AWFUL- it was a male therapist, which is no problem, but he talked way too much and tried to be funny but it came off as awkward and icky. His technique was truly horrible - not sure he is actually trained. It was stop-start, bumbling, and entirely unskilled. I was so hoping to find a new spa in Tempe as I travel here from out-of-town often - it will not be this spa, that's for sure! i might as well have let $300 on fire. read more

My husband bought me a gift for Mother's Day of a 1 hour therapeutic massage at Cloud 9. I haven't had a massage in years and it's never been a favorite activity (mostly just chair massages and 30 minute back massages at scrapbooking retreats), and I really thought 1 hour was going to be too long. But it was a thoughtful gift and I wanted to enjoy what my husband had given me. Gabby was my massage therapist and she was awesome! The massage was very relaxing, and so soothing, and Gabby was great! We talked a little bit but mostly I just really got lost in the relaxing moment, had a great massage; best one ever. I was nervous going to a new place and stylist as I hadn't cut my hair in over a year and my original stylist wasn't professional in regard to being responsive whenever I would reach out for an appointment. I appreciate the continued communication between the spa to make sure they booked me correctly, sent reminders about my upcoming appointment and were so open and willing to always help. Upon arrival, the process for check in was simple and clean and had a very vibrant environment. My hair stylist was the absolute best and made sure to continually check in to see if I was liking what she was doing. I found this place last minute and I booked an appointment for my sister-in-law. The aesthetic is upscale, yet comfortable. The receptionist was also very nice and my sister-in-law had a great experience with her stylist! 4/5 stars because the initial waiting area awash pretty awkward and uncomfortable. I also had my toddler with me and we waited about 30-45min during the haircut. I wish the receptionist had invited us to sit in the back-waiting area where they have their spa; we also could've waited in the car.....maybe I'm being selfish. My worst salon experience yet! I went in for a double process to get my roots retouched. I have been bleaching my hair for about 3 years and have a full head of ash blonde. I have gotten multiple retouches, and this was not the experience a root retouch should be. You should not have a chemical burn from a normal salon visit. I was told my stylist was a level 4 "expert". I had told my stylist the bleach was starting to burn, she responded with "Let me finish the back". I requested her to wash it out twice! At this point my scalp was on fire. I went to the wash station and started rubbing my forehead as my skin was red and irritated. When leaving she only apologized for the fact that I could not handle the bleach for longer. She did not acknowledge or apologize for the damage done to my skin I now have a painful burn on my scalp that has not healed. It's been a couple days and my hairline is red with multiple scabs. I will not be returning and want to bring awareness to potential customers. Please beware! read more

My favorite and only place I get my hair done. I am a natural dark brown almost black and I am blonde as can be. My stylist is named Ali and she is so sweet. And knows what she's doing. She makes it a perfect even shade everytime and I have little to no breakage and my hair is so healthy it's growing so fast despite the fact I get it bleached every month. I would highly recommend.
