So, we called Greg and he met us with refreshed batteries and chargers so they'd last when we rode them from all the way to Georgetown, found a restaurant that would let us take them inside and charge them while we ate, and rode back so we could be pictures of the Lincoln Memorial at night! It was so gorgeous! Our day on Greg's Segs stood out as the highlight in our four-day Washington D.C. family vacation. We were able to cover miles and miles of ground and visit more attractions and monuments than we would have ever been able to do without these easy-to-ride city-sized segways. And the best part? The tour was completely customized because Greg lets you take the Segway yourself -- it's a rental, not some boring, one-size-fits-all tour.

To assist with mobility, a friend had suggested we rent scooters rather than relying on the wheelchairs that might or might not be available at the various museums. We called Karters and they said they would deliver the scooters wherever we wanted and at whatever time! Everything was confirmed via email and they more than delivered on their promise! We changed our time (perhaps twice) and Karters was flexible and fully accomodating. Tony met us on time at our selected museum and gave a quick tutorial (the seniors had never used a scooter) on the spot. The scooters were fresh, clean and ready to roll. By the end of the day, the seniors so much enjoyed the freedom and comfort provided by the scooters that they decided they wanted them a 2nd day! We called and scheduled and did everything again day two - even riding the mall that day! (Of course we changed the pick up time 2 or 3 times.) Karters NEVER said "no" to any of our requests and served us like they were taking care of family members. Because of the ease of our visit, the seniors have agreed that we can and should do it all over again! I really cannot fully express how pleased I am with this company.

This is a moped company that started in NY and expanded to DC in August '19. I found them when…read moresearching (Google) for scooter rentals to prep for an upcoming trip to Vietnam. The app bills itself as download and go. Bass on my experiences so far, I'd like to rebrand it download and wow. You download the app, pay a onetime fee of $19 so they check your selfie/drivers license picture, and once you're approved, you're all set and can use the app to locate nearby scooters and reserve one up to 15 minutes in advance. I submitted my photo and was quickly approved. I hadn't driven a scooter before, so while watching some of their helpful intro videos, I saw that they offer a free lesson. Tried to book a lesson, but it was only for the NYC locations. I emailed their help team about it and on a Sunday afternoon, they replied in 15 minutes with the link to book a DC lesson. I went to my lesson tonight, and was blown away again by their customer-centric approach. Charlie was my instructor and he provided very thorough walkthroughs of how to use the bike, how to move around with the bike, turning corners, and sent me on well-supervised trips up and down the alley and around the block. I LOVE that they take the time to do this to make sure people are comfortable and safe on scooters. Seriously, it was at least 45 minutes, if not an hour, of one-on-one scooter tutorials. Charlie was very patient, didn't laugh out loud when I ran into a fence, and was super encouraging as I got more familiar with the moped and felt brave enough to accelerate above 6 MPH. I even got a ride credit at the end of my free lesson! Fun to drive and looking forward to exploring more of the city with Revel. Wish I'd taken a picture of their office and garage on Sheridan St., but maybe it's better that there's no photo evidence of my inaugural scooter ride. By the way, both the fence and I are ok.
