And as you might have guessed, the second level is messier. If the mess doesn't bother you, trying to get a cart will. There are never any carts, or baskets for that matter, available to shop. So I hope you didn't come here with high hopes of filling up a cart of deals. Let's go back a bit here. While you're looking out on the store, don't let yourself get depressed by the dingy digs and bad fluorescent lighting. I mean this place can definitely change your mood when you come in here. Majority of the first floor of this place is clothing. Mostly women's with some men's and teens. Throw in a toy section (which is torn apart by the wild children let loose by the parents so they can shop) and some handbags and you get the jest of the first floor layout. If you happen to be looking for housewares, kitchen gadgets, infant and toddler clothing, head upstairs. While riding the escalators keep arms and legs inside the moving stairs at all times. No, for real, please do this. Last time I was there, and I pray that they cleaned this, there was what appeared to be a chocolate milkshake thrown against the walls going up the escalators. Yeah, please keep your hands in at all times. Upstairs was wild. Try to avoid the infant and toddler clothing and make your way to the hodgepodge that they call housewares and kitchen gadgets. If you want to think that you are in the 80s kids game show 'Finders Keepers' then by all means start tearing things up like everyone else did before you. Maybe, just maybe, you will find the one item still in the package and unbroken. May the odds be ever in your favor if you so choose to shop here. Because you never know what you may stumble across. I do mean stumble, be sure to watch where you are walking because there are items everywhere. Thought I had gotten hacked, so I tried a second time to contact that other company another way - again, I heard from SSC. I told the person that it seemed shady, and then they stopped texting me (which seemed even more shady). Then I looked up the websites and found that one of SSC's founders was the current communications manager at the other company. After I blasted that other company on Google (I got a really testy, unprofessional reply - I wonder from whom...?), I decided to try one last time to reach out to the first place. A third time, SSC reached out. None of this was giving me better vibes, but at my spouse's request, I let it play out. Spoke to a REALLY NICE person as SSC, and emailed to make an appointment for someone to do an in-person home inspection. I was disappointed that I had to make it three weeks after talking to them, but thought that it might be a positive measure of how sought-after they may be. When the day came for the home inspection: no call, no text, no email, and NO VISIT. SMH, SSC! I wish I could give a 0/5.

This store has been open for more than a year and I can't believe me and my credit card haven't found this place earlier.This store is the cutest boutique I have been to in DC! Whether you're looking for a gift for a young women in your life, or looking to expand your wardrobe, a trip to Petworth will definitely pay off!! If you like brands like YA and Tulle, this is the place to go. There are no shortages of cute dresses and tops, with affordable prices (it's also the least expensive boutique I have been to). They also have one rack of vintage clothing, that's all in good shape and look repurposed. I tend to not wear vintage clothes, not cause I am a snob, only because people from the past were really really thin and my modern day thighs won't fit a thing here, but if you're lucky and thin, don't pass this rack by. Enter SSDS! Our friends and family were able to easily get us gift certificates for the service and we called and emailed with them before I gave birth to set up the service. Every week they would drop fresh diapers off and we would set out the old ones to be picked up. They billed us automatically every two weeks. It was seamless. We are moving abroad so we can't continue the service but it was lifesaving especially for the earliest months. Also my baby almost never had any leaks! Like I can count on one hand how many leaks she had in the many months we used this service. They are high quality diapers. I highly recommended them!
