The massage has always been very good and reception is very nice. Both times I have used a Groupon and booked an appointment for the same or next day (once I called because I was close by and they got me in for an appointment 10 mins later). Maybe it's because I go on weekdays, but they seem to have lots of availability. The massage is always very thorough and my body feels excellent after. They tend to use firm pressure -- I don't mind some pain during my massage but you can ask them to be lighter. Language barrier can be an issue so you may want to let reception know before you go in for the massage. The 60 mins Asian Body Works (Tuina) with Hot Stones was full body including scalp and face but not feet and you removed your clothes. The 60 mins Foot Reflexology with Asian Body Works included a foot soak, focused on feet and legs, and you kept your clothes on for the body works massage. I preferred the body works with hot stones from masseuse David, who asked multiple time if the pressure was good and it really felt amazing! If you care more about the foot massage and less about the body, then I would opt for the foot reflexology (the massage I had was fantastic as well). The space is clean, beds are very comfortable, and ambiance is nice. The different massage areas are divided by screens rather individual rooms separated by walls. I don't mind this, but I can see how some would not prefer it. When I went for the foot reflexology, I was in a shared room with a stranger -- this was fine for me because you do not remove your clothes for this service. I found it a little weird initially but did not care during the actual massage; again, I can see how some people may not enjoy this setup. Overall, Nomad offers very high quality massage at a reasonable price point, not overly extravagant. I will definitely go back regularly!

The spa doesn't have separate rooms, rather it's one massive hall, separated by cloth curtains. Which means you can hear EVERYTHING!! You hear the opening of packages, the bathroom, the customer next to you saying "oh my god yea", the staff walking back n forth, the tap running in their kitchen... everything!!! To make this worse, the massage itself was terrible. They placed a towel on my back and massaged me over the towel in an elbow 'poking' manner rather than a normal kneading style. I left the spa feeling rather bruised than relaxed. This was the second time I've had a terrible experience at Nomad - will definitely not be returning.

The booking process was easy and communication was great. I explained all of my ailments and medical history surgeries etc. Na-na did a great job relieving that tension pain i was having and loosened my body right up. She got out a lot of the knots I had in my back and traps. My whole body felt a lot better from when I came in. I was rubbed with beautiful essential oils and lotions. Before i left i had complimentary water and biskoff biscuits the best. I was sore the next couple of days as expected but heat packs cold packs and my aleve and tylenol helped. I firmly believe in going to different schools for services like hair, skin, massage care...because hey why not support a future professional...they have to learn and practice and I don't mind paying less! It was easy to call and leave a message for my preferred date and time. I called in the morning and received a call back that afternoon (when there was clinic). There are limited days and hours that the students have clinic so keep that in mind. It worked out for me because luckily there are evening hours. Check in was easy and at the time of my service a 1 hour massage is listed as $40, no add ons available that I know of. You pay before starting. Josie was my student and she greeted me and asked if I had visited before. I had not so she gave me a brief rundown as she guided me to the changing area. It's a large dimly lit room with multiple massage beds. Relaxing spa music was playing which is great for potentially snoring or awkward breathing sounds which could occur. I was given a very large sheet which I appreciated as some other places I swear try to give me the smallest square of fabric possible, barely covering all the goodies....not an issue here though! I took of everything but my panties in order to need impede on her flow. She led me to her massage bed and I hopped on! She asked if there were any specific areas I would like addressed and I told her my lower back gets on/off tightness. I received a full body massage and always felt properly draped at all times. Pressure was applied and changed as needed on various body parts and she checked in with me to ask if I was ok multiple times. I had an amazing experience! I tipped her in cash after my service...so be sure to bring some cash for your student. My first time here and will definitely be back when I'm in the area! As with any service based school, of course your experience will vary depend on who services you but verbally everyone will have the basics down to be able to service you...I've not had any issues and hope the same for you LOL If you've read this far thanks! You're a real one :) Pro tip...upon opening the door to enter...there are stairs immediately leading DOWN....do not try to run in or you will definitely be eating some stairs...potentially looking like an awkward slow mo cartoon gone wrong.

And least they realize they are providing product/service. The massages at The Massage School are hit or miss, they discourage requests outside of a specific routine, it's in a dungeon of a basement with no separators between tables and they give you a bed sheet to wrap around you like a toga. But that's what you get for $40. If you find a good person, you can request them until they graduate out, including for 2 hr massages. What makes this 1 star is their ineffective scheduling system and even worse communication with clients. They have repeatedly shifted me from my requested people with zero communication. I've had some pretty bad experiences as a result. What's the point of requesting someone and traveling 45 minutes to find out it's with a masseuse who has no idea what they're doing? Thats not the agreement we had. Sometimes this is a result of simply not taking the time to call me. Other times it's been confusion between their staff because they keep their schedule with paper and pencil. If you want to use such a poor scheduling method, the least you could do is keep track of changes and have a method to let your clients know with an opportunity to cancel. You're using a 1980s organizational system with terrible 2020s customer service. I've received zero offers for refund (I've asked) nor remorse from the person who runs the place, but many apologies from staffers who can't do anything about the situation. I was told to the equivalent of 'you get what you get and don't get upset.' I know you're a school but you're still charging money for a service. Try acting like it. After too many experiences like this I am tired of paying with my money and time for disrespect and bad massages.
