This place is probably one of my favorite breweries in Seattle. I don't drink often but I like going to breweries to get a feel of the environment. This place has some pretty awesome decor and vibes emanating from it. As someone who came from out of town to visit, this was a pleasant surprise. The beer selection was awesome as well. I was a fan of their cider and would definitely get it again (as I can't recall the name of the drink). The only reason I wouldn't provide a 5 star review is the lack of seats and space. Did not love this place. Beer was pretty good but the atmosphere needs a lot of work. It's a very high brow craft beer bar. Customers were sitting there, like they were in a wine bar or drinking coffee. Not a fun, lively atmosphere. Was pretty bored. It's quite possible that Seattle is like this. I've never had a beer I didn't like ... from these people. I've almost made to their taproom a couple times, but this time I actually completed the task. I had a wet hopped IPA with a great name and interesting narrative. It was awesome. I tasted a flavored saison. I generally do not like. I did like. The secondary flavors were tastefully selected and tempered to the point that I had to approach them, rather than run from them. Service was also friendly, helpful, and efficient. In my experience, that's a nice change from the rushed and snarky norm around Pike Market. Luv ya... My friends and I stopped here for a few beers in the early afternoon. We're from out of town and I asked if they carried any IPAs on the lighter side. The girl said yes, mentioned one, and I said okay can I try it. The girl says yes and then pores me a full drink of a nasty beer that wasn't anything close what I asked, not even giving me the sample. Nonetheless I still was polite and even tipped the girl because it seemed she was having a bad day. The workers here were all super rude the entire time and we decided to leave. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. They have a nice selection of beers depending on what you're going for. There were a couple TVs in case you wanted to watch something. A nice new addition to the Seattle craft brew scene with close proximity to Pike Place Market. What their tasting room space lacks in ambience, their beers easily make up for in flavor and variety. After all, we all come for the beer. With about 10 beers on tap, you'll surely find something you can enjoy. They have their own brews as well as a variety of guest brewery taps, which is a nice touch considering the hostility that can happen between breweries. My favorite thing Cloudburst offers is their collaboration beers with other breweries. If you see one on their board, try it! They currently only have 32 oz. growlers to take away for $16 ($5 for the bottle that can be exchanged, $11 for the beer itself), but I hope they'll consider offering a 64 oz. in the future. read more

Of all the breweries I've tried locally, Cloudburst is my favorite. The beers are great! I haven't found one that I didn't enjoy. They usually have at least one beer that has some non traditional flavors in the brew, but try them, you won't be disappointed. The space is small, but comfortable. I'm always a fan of seeing new breweries pop up within walking distance of me. In this case, the beers at Cloudburst are my reward for walking here from Capitol Hill. Exercise followed by booze: trust me, it works as a reward system. There's a lot of good stuff when it comes to Cloudburst, namely: - they produce some weird, funky, experimental beers. I'm into them, though. The market fresh saison series is my favorite way to have fruit-infused beer in Seattle. Their most recent one is a plum and cardamom infusion, which I am in love with. - the staff is always super friendly and happy to let you try a sip of a beer before you commit to a pint. - the decor has this interesting warehouse-yet-rustic vibe to it. I'm not sure how else to describe it. The stuff I don't like so much: - yet another hop-heavy tap list. I yearn for the breaths of fresh air in the PNW that are breweries which don't fixate on hoppy beers. Cloudburst usually has two very solid non-hoppy beers that I want to drink, but that's it. I'm always ready to leave after two pints. - the chairs are really uncomfortable :( - this brewery gets PACKED. There are Belltown bros, Pike Place Market tourists, and the rest of us. As a result, it's very loud, and you have to be an expert sniper if you want to grab a seat. Overall, I'm very glad this brewery exists. Just know that you're in for a very different atmosphere than what you might be used to at the more mellow Ballard breweries. read more

Cloudburst is a new, no nonsense pub that is fantastic in the tradition of many up and coming NW breweries: have a delicious pint or three and kick it with some friends. If you are in to early 20th century construction techniques, marvel at the exposed solid wood beams in the open plan layout. Else, the beer is just what you'd expect from some legends of the craft. Mostly am plugging in a review because of the staff/service. I really appreciate a place that is well run that gets it done. A great, little brewery! We were in Seattle for four days and came here twice, so that says something about this place! We loved the unique and flavorful craft beers, along with the cool, hip, and groovy atmosphere. Beware though, this place is not so much a "hidden" gem, and it was pretty busy on the weekend!
