Clove and Cedar is an absolute gem!!! I stopped in after shopping at the Bethany farmers market with 4 elementary school boys (not my kids) who, unbeknownst to me, knew exactly how to order at a coffee shop. They ordered strawberry shortcake matchas and iced vanilla milks and specified for the woman taking their orders exactly how many vanilla pumps they wanted and what type of milk alternatives to request. The barrista took their orders like they were adults (while eying me to make sure this was all ok). We also got 2 pastries to split. We got some kind of coffee cake and a chocolate chip muffin. I didn't get to try either as the boys wolfed them down and left a mess of crumbs bc they aren't actually as bougie as their orders. (sorry about the crumbs if you are reading this, Clove and Cedar). The little boys said it was the best matcha they ever had - and apparently they are experts. hahahaha. I am in Lower DE every week and had completely given up trying to find a decent matcha here bc every place I've tried just sucked. When I saw the color of the dark green matcha at Clove and Cedar, I knew immediately it was going to taste great. I got the Ube Vanilla Matcha and it was perfecto!!! Honestly, I can't even explain how excited I am that I found this great place. I wish it was closer to Dewey or Rehoboth as there is nothing up here like it. I def will make the drive again to Bethany soon!!! read more

Cute little coffee shop. Was really packed when we went but they handle the crowd well. I took off one star based off of the matcha. They have multiple matcha drinks on their menu but I did not really like the strawberry matcha I got. It tasted very watered down. My friend and husband also agreed. I make matcha at home and thoroughly enjoy a matcha at other cafes but this one didn't do it for me. The mint mocha was really good but didn't really taste like mint. I loved the coffee cake!! read more

Located in a non descriptive strip mall this little coffee bar stood out for having the best coffee / lattes we had while in Bethany Beach . If the priority is having outstanding coffee / coffee drinks ( they have matcha too ), this is the place to go. read more

Great local coffee shop with friendly service and delicious coffee ... and tea drinks! Stopped by on our way home after MDW and Yelp led us to a great local spot. I had a Strawberries and Cream cold brew that was very good. Hubby had two different types of iced tea for the road and left with a big smile on his face. The shop was very clean and nicely decorated. There are some nice pastries too.. i was eyeing a very scrumptious looking crumb cake but passed it up! So many different coffee selections to choose from with fun concoctions. You won't be disappointed. read more

Clove & Cedar is slinging the best coffee in Bethany, and best of all, it's located right across the street from our annual rental! The owner Janet is super cool and clearly cares (and knows) a lot about the coffee she is serving. The baristas are fantastic and are very open to making a drink just the way I want it without making me feel like I'm Meg Ryan when I order my iced latte, extra shot, extra ice, less milk, and half pump of peppermint syrup! Great spot! I was visiting my parent's place in Bethany and I wanted a good coffee place in walking distance. Clove and Cedar delivered. Like the other reviews, the staff were very attentive and greeted me right when I walked in, which was very welcoming. I got a Chai Latte and a Rosemary Scone. We have been wanting to try this shop but have continued going to another local coffee shop out of habit. However, we finally stopped in for a creamsicle cold brew but they were out of cold brew. We got a creamsicle latte instead which was refreshing. We asked for it 1/4 sweet and it was the perfect sweetness level. We went back the next day for the creamsicle cold brew and matcha tropical coolers. Both my mom and I loved the matcha cooler. So good. The workers were more pleasant than the coffee shop we normally visit in town too! We will be back! read more

First time checking in here and reviewing but soooo excited to have a nice cozy little coffee shop! Janet, the owner, was super sweet and quick to greet everyone coming in and was making connections with everyone that came in. It seems to be a nice family business, great decor, quick service. There's a small bar seating area but nowhere to really sit and study or read, hope that maybe one day they can expand and have that! Pastries from local bakeries nearby. I got the espresso tonic -- so hard to find in this area and my to go drink. Nice, light with a fresh tartness from the dehydrated oranges. Give this place a try!!! read more

A coffee shop for coffee lovers at the beach!! Clove and Cedar is an absolute gem! I was there almost day after it opened this summer to get the best coffee I've ever had at the beach. The shop itself is so inviting, clean and easy to access on Garfield Parkway with plenty of parking. No hunting for street parking! I just love their oat milk latte, creamsicle cold brew, cappuccino, blueberry basil iced tea and matcha lemonade. And their overnight oats and all the baked goods are just divine! But just as important - the staff at Clove and Cedar are all so warm, helpful and professional. I never had a bad experience the dozens of times I was there. And the owner is just about the nicest and friendliest person I've ever met. If you find yourself at the Delaware beaches you must stop in! read more

Cold brew was smooth, bold, and really tasty, and the ambiance is great. The pastry was fresh, soft, and flavorful (I had the blueberry muffin and really enjoyed it). Only downside -- I ordered a large but got a medium, and with all the ice it felt like less coffee. I don't normally leave reviews - but I found such a gem yesterday in Clove&Cedar! We picked up iced coffee and teas for our group before hitting the beach. Everyone in our group agreed that the drinks were outstanding! I personally had the Baltimore Breakfast tea. They cold brewed it and served it on ice--it was absolute perfection! As someone who will drive out of my way for great tea and coffee, this shop really impressed me. The shop is welcoming, the staff is super friendly, and they clearly know how to make quality beverages. I'm definitely coming back--this might just be my new favorite spot. Clove and Cedar Coffeebar is the perfect place to go for a quick morning pick-me-up. The coffeebar is trendy with a welcoming atmosphere. I loved the matcha and cold brew bar menu, offering many different combinations of sweet drink options. Although these sounded enticing, I went with my usual--iced latte with whole milk and cinnamon. The latte was just how I liked it. Perfect ratio of milk to espresso (I purchased a 16oz) and not watered down. My sister-in-law got a turmeric latte which she raved about for its authentic taste. My other sister-in-law got a "tropical matcha" (an iced matcha made with coconut water and agave) which to her surprise was incredible! There was also an arrangement of hot tea options that sounded delicious. We went around 9:30am on a Sunday morning and there were a few folks inside the store with a small line. It was slightly tight but the quick service got customers in and out efficiently. Because this shop is more for grab-and-go, there were only two cushioned chairs inside that I did not have the chance to test (although they did look pretty comfortable). I loved the self-serve station that allowed customers to add cream, sugar, or simple syrup to their beverages. I added a touch of the simple syrup to my latte and it was an excellent addition to the smooth espresso. The last thing I'll mention is the aesthetically pleasing, brown, recyclable straw. It may seem like a small detail but it tied the ambiance of the coffeebar together. I am looking forward to revisiting Clove and Cedar Coffeebar and will be passing this information along to friends and family so they have a chance to experience the unforgettable atmosphere as well! read more

Place is really cute, and clean. the people are very nice and they have some good food selections from reliable local sources. We ordered a cardamon rose chai and a latte. The chai was fine. The latte was super hot - so hot that I could not even sip it. For coffee drinkers equates to "burnt". When I was finally able to taste the latte, the milk was burnt and so was the coffee.
