Octopus
Dayo E.

Clover club Is quite a nice spot. Great for a date with nice ambiance and a cool vibe. The service is quite nice, even though a bit slow. The octopus was really good even if quite small. The steak was flavorful but unfortunately it was a bit cold at the end. The Mac and cheese was definitely the star of the meal. A must have. The fries were a bit salty hit me. The desserts were amazing. Both the molten cake and bread pudding were so so amazing. Would love to try brunch and some other things on the dinner menu Finally the clover club cocktail was absolutely amazing!! 10/10

Clover Club is a trendy establishment; they're known for their bespoke cocktails. I ordered the Clover Club cocktail, and I enjoyed it because I love gin and egg whites. Their happy hour food menu is kind of small; but I did get olives, crisps, and half off oysters. I liked the crisps because they were fried in duck fat, and they had truffle aioli. I also ordered deviled eggs; my favorite was the bacon jam one. Their grilled octopus was good, and the tomato was flavored well. Now, there was something that I didn't like - the hot chocolate pudding. The cake was kind of burnt, so it was hard to eat and cut with a spoon.

This place has a nice vibe. It's very dark and the drink menu is fun. The steak frites was pretty good.

I've been here a few time since discovering this place. Service is a little slow even when it's not busy, and it does get crowded around dinner time. It's not a big space so it's gets a little cramped especially at 2-seated tables as they are very close to each other but i think small bars like that have its own charm. In the summer they have outdoor sitting and seasonal drinks (which unfortunately I missed on as I didn't try it right away and came back in the fall). During first visit, Our waiter was confused on the drink menu questions but it's pretty detailed on its own. Other times service was pleasant. Drinks are not big size and can be considered pricey but taste really good. Food menu has variety. Plating and portions size are on the fancier side and delicious.

Rogue Wave

A perfect spot for a pre-dinner cocktail with an extensive drink menu featuring eclectic elixirs such as the Rogue Wave, a frozen curaçao drink with pineapple and both Jamaican and Guyanese rum to help me cool off on a blazing hot Brooklyn summer evening. The bartenders are suave and sophisticated with excellent showmanship and service.

Really cool vibes. The green giant cocktail was very refreshing. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

What a lovely date night spot! We came here on a weeknight and the space is dark and intimate. It was 9pm and I was excited that their kitchen is open until 11pm, so yay for that. We ordered a Clover Manhattan ($20) for her and a Bonfire Old Fashioned ($21) for him. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive. When we asked about them, they said that they may have forgotten to put our drink orders in. When the drinks did come, they were delicious cocktails though. I loved that the Manhattan came with a side of aged Gouda, which was my favorite. The drinks are strong, which I liked as well. We also ordered some food which came out soon after. We had the Mac and Cheese with Smoked Bacon ($16) and Buttermilk Flatbread "Hand"wiches ($17). The Mac and cheese was yummy but I wished they used a different type of pasta. I did enjoy the handwiches, which came with two. I got one chicken and one steak and liked how they're on a scallion-like bread. This also came with crisps that completed the meal. I really enjoyed the vibe of this spot. Their food and drinks were all great and would order again too. Just a tad disappointed that they almost forgot about our drinks though, but I'd be back.

Regal, elegant, classic. Clover club is a solid, well run prohibitionist style bar that stays tried and true to the classics. Utilizing storied techniques, ingredients, and styles you will find the menu riddled with house cocktails that are reminiscent of classics. I got some chips, the tiger lily, and the boa constrictor. The crisps were great. Light, crispy potato chips with a creamy garlic aioli. A great savory snack to end my night. The drinks were great. The tiger lily is a mezcal crusher. Easy to drink, yet the funkiness of the mezcal still prevails. But, the boa constrictor was my favorite. An unlikely friendship has been born with bourbon and green chartreuse. Earthy and herbal with some bright citrus to help balance everything out. This is a drink I would order time and again. I highly recommend, even if bourbon is not your preferred spirit. The bartender was great. Chatted it up, and sold me on the crisps, lol. The bartenders definitely contribute to the classic ambience. Dressed to the nines and stirring drinks with precision. Walking through that door is stepping through a time machine. I storied bar, and for good reason. Put it on your list whether you're visiting or a local

Clover club and patatas bravas

The clover club cocktail is all that it's famed to be...perfectly balanced and and refreshing. The patatas bravas is equally impressive dish that is savory comfort food heaven. This is your spot for brunch.

I've been here a few times and I'm never disappointed. Most recently was Christmas Eve w/ my girlfriends. If you think people were in their homes w/ families...think again. LOL! It was a lively vibe for a group but definitely moody enough for a date. I definitely come for the cocktails. They get it right often...especially my go to, gin gimlet. We also had a few off the menu... - Blue Velvet - El Vaquero - Port of Call...all were tasty. We had to grab bites w/ said cocktails. We got the hand sammies w/ chicken & steak, deviled eggs, and fries. The bougie friend got her steak tartare...LOL! All good and definitely satisfying. I'll be back of course!

Deviled Eggs

Stopped by for a quick bite and a drink here. They have a few options for bar snacks, more options for small bites, and larger plates. I ended up getting the deviled eggs which were so good. Each with its own topping. They included bacon jam, chili crisp, smoked trout and trout roe, and beet chip. Bacon jam was the fave.

Spawned from the influential Pegu Club, the Clover Club proudly carries the torch with its roaster of Cocktails inspired by 19th century classics. This is a bar where mixologists take their art seriously by honoring the past while keeping an eye towards the future. It may sound snooty but the vibe at this neighborhood friendly place is chill. The staff are attentive and will welcome you with a smile. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to visit the Pegu Club so being the dedicated cocktail aficionado that I am, I was determined to come to the Clover Club on my recent trip to New York. We arrived on a Saturday night. It was hopping. Fortunately, we were able to snag the last 4 seats at the bar. Talk about perfect timing! The ambience is beautiful - reminiscent of the prohibition era with its dark wood, exposed brick walls, tin ceilings, & leather chairs. Our night began with cocktails - of course! My sister ordered the signature Clover Club, mom a Cosmopolitan, my friend a beer, and since I had confidence in the bartender I requested a Sidecar. It's hard to find a good Sidecar outside of New Orleans. I tried a sip of the Cosmo & Clover Club. Both were delicious and perfectly balanced. My Sidecar did not disappoint. It was perfection in a glass! We also ordered food: Mac & Cheese, Steak Frites, and Roasted beet salad. While the emphasis here is on the cocktails, the food was just as fantastic. And, since we didn't want the night to end, we ordered another round of drinks. If you enjoy an elegant, well-made cocktail the Clover Club is your place. If I lived in the neighborhood, you'd find me here on a regular basis. I'm definitely looking forward to a return visit.

I last came here in 2012 and the drinks are still immaculate. The clover club was refreshing. The drinks were on point and i know that i can recommend this place to my friends and they will not be disappointed.

Where can you make reservations?

Does anyone pick up the phone at this place? I've been trying to reach them for two days and I haven't been able to speak to anyone.

Try calling 4PM before Happy Hour begins... they shouldn't be too busy then.

It's stylish without being pretentious, and the space just feels good to hang out in. The drinks are really well made, balanced, interesting, and clearly crafted by bartenders who know what they're doing. The crowd is always chill, too. It has that neighborhood-but-still-trendy energy where you feel comfortable right away. They've got small bites if you want something to snack on, and there's a really fun back room that almost feels like a hidden little lounge. And I have to mention the bathroom because... it's definitely interestingly decorated. Unique in the best, quirkiest way. Overall, Ruth's is an easy favorite for a casual night out with friends, a date, or just grabbing a great drink in a beautifully put-together space. A real Flatbush gem.

Wow - what a great little spot!!!…read more Ruth is not on the beaten path for me, but I was heading down to King's Theatre for a concert and looking for a nice bar for pre-gaming. And, guess what? The interior is cozy with a number of arranged seating areas so parties of folks can gather together. The bar area has stool seating where you can watch the bartender make drinks... and there's even a separate back room area that looks like it could be rented out for private events.
