Stopped by Tooker Alley for a round of drinks and conversation, and enjoyed our time. The menu offers a variety of drinks unique to the establishment. Alcohol pours are very generous so if you are looking for a weak drink, be warned. Prices are reasonable in light of the pours. The interior is pretty cool; dark with lot of wood, brick and candlelight. It feels like you are stepping back in time, which considering the bar's name, is sort of the idea.

The service was outstanding. We had 4 drinks and an order of olives 75$. There is a small menu and a large drink list. The bar is mostly dark wood with a large banquette.

Came by this cocktail bar on a Saturday afternoon to eat up some time. Trendy seating both inside and outside, with plenty of spots available at the bar. Decided on the Martinez No.1 ($15) cocktail - a super strong combination of gin, vermouth, and bitters. Though it doesn't seem like much in the glass, definitely packs a punch. For food, split the Vegetable Dumplings ($12) - 6 moderately packed steamed dumplings with a decent amount of flavor. Service takes some time as they put some effort in the cocktails. Good spot for a date if it's not crowded.

Drinks are definitely creative and pretty balanced. I got the Return of the Desert Samurai, honestly, I've never tasted anything like it, HIGHLY RECOMMEND (warning: it is very spirit forward). Now the best thing about this place is the ambiance and vibe, absolutely top notch date night spot. Note: When it's cold outside, they close the backyard.

Tooker is still one of our very favorite spots, and it's been great seeing how Del has been handling the challenges 2020 has been throwing at him. New for this year is seating on Washington Avenue, with a great looking seating enclosure with umbrellas and plastic dividers. Also new is a partnership with The Asian spot next door, which means you now have access to tasty Japanese & Chinese food to accompany your cocktails. And this weekend the spacious garden area in the back has opened for your lounging pleasure! Since accessing the garden requires a walk through the bar, temperatures and contact information are taken before your party is shown to a table. Other measures to ensure everything is safe & clean include plastic sleeved menus and thorough cleaning between guests. Tooker continues to be one of the very best cocktail spots in the area!

I've come here on several occasions. The drinks never fail. Most recently entered the bar on a Friday evening around 5pm for pre-dinner drinks. It wasn't too crowded, just enough space for us to grab seats at the bar. The bar in general has deep dark tones giving it a prohibition era feel. The bartender is attentive and whips up cocktails quickly. My friend and I got the Haymaker's Punch. It's the perfect combination of tart and sweet. Hits the spot and has you feeling super nice and ready to either stay for another round or move on to the main event. Always consistent. I'll be back to try other craft cocktails. Head on over after a trip to the Brooklyn Museum. 5

Located within walking distance of the Brooklyn museum with great food, drinks and nice staff. I was waiting for friends running late to a night Brooklyn museum event and Tooker Alley saved me. When I walked in, I saw a few seats at the bar but a client stopped me saying she was saving the seats. The staff spotted me a little lost with what to do as it was also raining and the outdoor seating was soaked. I was guided to a small table. If the staff hadn't spotted me and helped, I likely would have left to try find another place. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I had, all I know is it had gin and I enjoyed it. I had a salmon roll and chicken dumplings. I did not expect the food to be SO GOOD. My friends ended up joining me mid-meal and we fought over the dumplings. Staff was quick to accommodate my friends at my table. Lovely jazz music was playing in the background. We were so tempted to cancel our plans and stay put for the night. Highly recommend if you're looking for food and drinks after a museum outing.

Stumbled upon this bar randomly after going to the Brooklyn Museum which is only 3 minutes away. They serve Chinese take out from a restaurant close by i believe so we had dumplings and veggie tempura with our drinks. The interior is cozy but spacious. Great date spot or a low key night out with friends.

Good drinks and friendly bartenders. Told him to whip up some drinks for my boyfriend and me - "refreshing" and "sour". Got a cucumber and mint cocktail, and a blueberry cocktail. Pretty good. Hip looking spot. About $13 per drink. The food menu was small. Nothing sparked my interest. I wouldn't come here for food. Not sure if they have specials. Not the cheapest spot to go for neverending cocktails.

Came here for an after work event. The bar is nice. It has a nice vintage feel to it. They have food at this bar. We ordered a smoking of everything. Grilled chicken bites, mini grilled cheese with tomato soup, spicy deviled eggs, mini pork tacos, figs wrapped in prosciutto, spicy bean dip with chips. It was a lot of food and all of it was pretty tasty. A nice spot to visit really really close to the Brooklyn Museum.

    Fancy cocktails. With rhubarb.

Tooker Alley is the kind of place I was fully prepared to dislike before entering - it seems like such a particular (and at this point overdone) concept to me... I was already rolling my eyes wondering how long the bartenders' beards would be and how many tweezers and eyedroppers would be employed to finish my drink. But it's truly a fine, sincere, welcoming establishment. Just a place deadly serious about crafting serious cocktails. Our bartender, Benjamin, was quite the artisan. The staff is quiet and serious about their work, but ultimately very friendly and interesting. (We were even invited to share in a shot of high-end rum when we closed the joint with them.) I particularly appreciate the seasonal section of the menu - they seem to really make an effort to incorporate seasonal ingredients into their cocktails. The current spring seasonal section includes an outstanding Gin cocktail with Rhubarb syrup and a Bourbon cocktail with Peach. On the standard cocktail menu, the Old Fashioned is a particular standout - I daresay it would make Don Draper smile. Well, at least Roger Sterling. I can more-or-less see Tooker Alley from my front window, so I'm glad I enjoy it so. And it's a good thing it's so close... those are some potent potables. You don't want to plan to have too far to walk if you've imbibed more than a couple here. It's a bit too pricey (and perhaps a wee bit too staid) to really make it my "regular," but it's a fine place to have right in your back pocket when your taste buds demand something special, and your own mediocre cocktail skills won't quite do.

Had some drinks at Tooker Alley on a rainy Friday night. While I did not love the drinks I tried, the variety and creativity are there. However, I would wait longer to return because of the steep COVID food policy and limited seating really being an issue. Quality: After dinner, we decided to stop into Tooker Alley for a cocktail. Ended up trying a few options on the menu, all of which were fine, but none I would order again. The excitement of being back in a cocktail bar, led me to just stick with the menu, but I believe they would have been happy to make something more my style. The drinks I did try were the Peach Bourbon Belle, El Lumo, and Return Of The Desert Samurai. Peach Bourbon Belle was the sweetest and my favorite of the bunch. El Lumo was unique, but overwhelmed in orange, and I did not like the smell or aftertaste of Return Of The Desert Samurai. They also required a food purchase, per person, from the Asian restaurant next door. There were no small snack options like many other bars are using like chips, nuts, or olives, so you may end up with more food than you may want. Quantity: Cocktails were on the smaller side, but quite strong. Value: $14-15 for all the Cocktails on the menu. $7 was the minimum price for food items. Ambiance: Tooker Alley is located in the Prospect Heights area of Brooklyn. They had a few tables outside, in a structure that they appeared to share with the neighboring Asian restaurant, then they had capacity for twelve inside. The actual bar is on the right side of the indoor space, but they do not permit guests to sit there at this time. Instead it was at assorted and spread out tables. It was pretty dark and inside had a little bit of a musty smell, partially caused by the wood and exposed brick. They also kept the door open, I assume for COVID reasons, but on this cooler evening, it was not the most comfortable. Crowd: As a result of limited indoor capacity, every table was full on Friday night. I watched as many people chose to leave because they did not wish to wait out in the cold. Service: The staff was great, and I appreciated their candor as we waited for a table to open up. However, I was not happy about the need to purchase a food item per person. Having come right from dinner, food was not necessary, and it seemed excessive, especially in comparison to COVID food policies elsewhere. Parking: Some street parking in the area.

This was Peach something... Can't remember exact name.

Came here on Sunday afternoon with a few friends after brunch. Not many people were there at the time. This bar is all about the craft cocktail. They give you a book, literally a book that contains their cocktails. Complicated stuff; ingredients that I've never even heard of. So I, just like everyone at the table we just went with our best judgement and chose a drink. Honestly no one really knew what the heck they were ordering but everyone really liked their drink. The waitress was really nice and even brought over a round of shots. One thing, in the back of their menu book were blank pages that said, Don't Yelp Me Bro leave your comments here. LOL! Nope, I'll be yelping.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.
