I mirror Heather's experience below. "Worst experience ever" doesn't even seem to cut it. As first-time home buyers, we were referred to CLS by Redfin, who we did not end up using as our Realtor. To sum up the experience we had with this organization, I will merely say to avoid using their services (if you can call them that) at all costs. I work in the service industry, and the most important thing when you provide a service is ensuring that the customers are happy, informed, that they feel taken care of, and ultimately that you own up to mistakes that you made when you do. The exact opposite is what we experienced with CLS Financial. After promises of providing mortgage process education, constant communication, organized and un-stressful processing, timely responses, honesty with costs (fees, rates, etc), and the customer's best interests at heart.... we experienced the exact opposite in every capacity. We discontinued our relationship with this organization mid-offer due to the extreme levels of disconnect they have with their customer. There are a ton of options out there for Mortgage information/loans. I would not waste your time engaging this company, i highly doubt you will be anything but frustrated and let down. When we ended our relationship with this company, they sent us a lengthy email that was both snide and defensive- not to mention it must have taken quite a while to write. If they took the amount of time taking care of their customers that they did being passive aggressive and unprofessional, they may have a better business model. read more

Gina Steed from CLS had previously helped my wife and I with our initial home loan and then a refinance and she was really great. Things went smoothly each time and we established a sense of trust. Recently I was present at my parents first meeting with a person who my dad had called for a home refinance. The guy immediately tried to hard sell my parents a reverse mortgage. This really pissed me off, because it wasn't what my parents had asked for at all! I can't imagine what would have happened if I wasn't there! So after that guy left I told my parents about Gina. We recently financed our first mortgage with Tony Close and his team. The seller wanted a shorter than normal escrow period in order to close the deal. That meant that Tony and his team really had to push to get everything finished more quickly than the typical sale.
