Best bar in Leesport. Great service, great people, and great vibes. Every millennial within a 200 mile radius should come here.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

Everything came out exactly as expected, and the flavors worked really well together. The Ham & Brie had a nice balance of sweet and savory, and the Fish & Chips was crispy and cooked well. Also had a mimosa with brunch, which was a nice addition. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Lititz or just a place for good food and drinks, this is definitely worth checking out.

The mash must have been made with turnip and potato as it was slightly sweet, onion gravy was spot on as were the carrots. The spouse went with the quesadilla. she stated the steak was really good. Ice tea for both of us . unexpectedly water was available for any one from a tap near the doors. Plastic cups, no purchase needed. Great idea! We shall return, nice place and good food is hard get any more. $42.30 plus tip we always tip at 20% ( or the spouse gets testy.) but the server / cleaner didn't get the idea it was for her, I actually had to say " this is a tip, for you! Problem was the service or lack thereof . After we were seated and handed on menus by the hostess, it took 10 minutes for the waitress Makayla E to show up and introduce herself. Then after the main course was delivered, she never checked back with us to see if we're enjoying our food. Basically myself and my dad were pretty much ignored. Worse yet. We got to observe the middle-aged manager with a ponytail yell at two of these staff. One was our waitress, and the other was a young African-American gentleman. Instead of doing it in his office in private, he chose to do it in the bar where my dad and I could hear the whole conversation. Apparently the ponytailed manager was complaining that $34 was missing from the register and he wanted to know which one of them had been in the register. Totally unprofessional for a "manager "to have this conversation in earshots of the guest. The final straw. Not only did our waitress ignore us but The ponytail manager walked back-and-forth past our table multiple times without once saying hello or seeing if we are enjoying our meal. Overall, food was good. Service was horrible disrespectful to ignore your guest. Never going back.

It is a tiny building but they are doing it right! There is complimentary valet parking which was great because I have no idea where we would have parked. We were seated at exactly 4:30, and our server was friendly and fast. RJ and I ordered Downeast Peach Mango Cider which was refreshing and delicious. We started with crab and artichoke dip and beef and weck eggrolls, and our table ordered 2 fish and chips, the "Luxury" seafood pie, shepherd's pie, and the beef on weck sandwich. My weck included onions, mushrooms, swiss, and bacon with a side of au jus and horseradish. Yum, what a salty, savory, spicy combo. The roast beef was very tender and juicy. The fish and chips were all enjoyed, as were both pies. We did not make it to dessert but will try that again another time. We were in and out in about 1 hour without being rushed at all. We will definitely return to the Whip!

The beer selection and interior design were more impressive than the food…read more Both beers we ordered were poured well and had good citrus and hoppy notes. No complaints there. Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.

My only issue was the beer cheese. It tasted too much like beer. The beer flavor was definitely over powering. The other special sauce wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. A typical thousand island type of sauce. But over all it was pretty solid. I would comeback and try something else.
