I am very popular back in my hometown maybe not for all good reasons. I come off as a whistleblower but one thing you will never call me as a liar and this last time I went to this establishment the DJ tried to throw shots at me as I'm walking through, which didn't really bother me as much because I don't even know who he is which I feel like it's kind of lame and childish and he's probably broke so I get it if I intimidated him in anyway I don't apologize about that however it's more than just about money cause that just says a lot about his character not mine so if you are a out of town and you're looking for a nice dining lounge experience, this is not the place to go. This is more for local if I had to guess I would say drug users so if you're not into that lifestyle, I don't recommend it. and although the food was good, I will never return back because of the disrespect from the DJ, which was unnecessary and very childish to say the least. hope this helps someone looking for a nice established lounge to visit. They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. We ventured to the bar on the right and a few of us ordered mixed drinks.

Parking right at the venue is 40 bucks. 2. Drink and beer prices inside are way high. A shaker cup cocktail is 20 bucks and it's ALL ice. Refills are 17 bucks!!!! Another thjng I didn't like is that the box office is not attached to the venue and is up the street and they didn't take cash for tickets there. They pick and choose who they enforce rules on -- personally, I've gotten free shots from the bartenders while other people get punished. Speaking of shots, they're overpriced and barely poured the correct amount of liquor. On top of that, there's tons of underage drinking, with underage girls getting into the club with zero issue, and I even heard rumors about human trafficking connected to this place -- completely insane. I used to be a regular and loved this place, but after this level of negligence, favoritism, and outright danger, I will never go back. The amphitheater really does not have a poor spot in the house. There's also lawn seating as well! If you're going to a popular artist, you may be competing with the taller folks standing - to be expected - but overall great seating options. There's plenty of parking if you plan to drive, especially if you arrive early. Definitely worth it as you can walk right over from your spot and it's pretty easy to head out. Parking for events is typically $20. The security procedure getting in is also quite efficient. Make sure to check the bag policy before coming in. If you have assigned seats it's worth it to stop through VGBG to wait out the line, plus they validate parking if you're looking to have a meal before the concert. And if you're looking for other food options there's plenty within walking distance. Just check the days and hours, as concerts during the week may not have as many food options. The amphitheater has really nice restroom facilities and a few options for food and drinks. My friend and I really liked the cocktails - the watermelon tasted like a jolly rancher. They also come with their own cups, which you can bring back later for a small discount on a refill. The drinks are quite expensive, which is to be expected for onsite concessions. The Fillmore is also a notable venue, as it is really intimate and cozy. It was great because you can see your favorite artists up close. So happy that Charlotte has great venues for artists that I love. Looking forward to coming back again and again.

I just visited this club first time with a friend who asked company for the New Year Eve Countdown…read more He said there would be a buffet dinner and free champagne at mid night. That sounds great. I looked for a change this year as I was at Sheraton Hotel by the airport last year for the same purpose. Unfortunately, their TV broke and they did not fix it in time. Together with other guests at the bar, we did our manual countdown by watching at our cellphone. (Not much fun) Therefore, this year, I was looking forward something I coud really enjoy. We arrived Excelsior Club before 8:00pm to avoid long queue like some dancing places we went before. We were almost the first few guests got in. $30.- per person with no discount. (even I saw posters everywhere said member $20.-, guest $30.-) The place was already decorated. We ordered a drink from the cash bar and got a table. DJ was almost on time which was great. A long table at the entrance with some disposable set up (folks and knife, bowls) for buffet. Food was not served til almost 9:30 pm with only a tray of collard green and black eye beans and corn bread. Some guests could not wait any longer and started to get the food. A little while later, we saw a tray of fish crush (guests called salmon crush), a liver cake and sauage (all deep fried) ended up with a tray of scramble egg and grits, toasts and margarine and jam. I asked my African American friend if that was what a buffet in such style. He responded that was not classy at all. I ended up eating only my favorite collard green, black eye bean, two pieces of fish crush, scramble egg and grits. Obviously this was from outside catering (perhaps working as a side job to make some extra $$$) Not appealing at all. One point was even when we left at around 12:30am there were still food left, eggs and grits and toasts. I just imagined I was having fried chicken, meat balls, roast beef or ribs as their tradition. (Forgive me for expecting too much from $30.-) or perhaps they expect guests would have their dinners before they came. There was just DJs with no live band. A small glass of Champagne was come with the price just before midnight. Guests were enjoying the dance and the manual countdown with no big screen TV. The place was established in 1944. I believe there are dancers in other occassions. Perhaps a pot luck works better next time.
