The notable strip clubs in the surrounding area each offers something that is unique and different from each other. Club 939 is by far the most cleanest and well kept club in Hawaii. It includes a huge bar and a huge amount of food selections. There are 3 stages in the middle of the club surrounded with cushioned half circled chairs with small circular tables here and there, and surrounding beyond that is half circled booths with small tables in the middle each provided with a pull up bar atop for table dances. One thing that really sets this club apart from the others is the high ceiling, which the poles are connected to from the stage. It looks to be about 18-20 ft. high. Now the biggest thing that sets this club apart is the amount of and the diversity of the dancers/performers. Most of them are incredibly talented and seem to have thighs of steel and arms of iron. Watching them climb to the top to perform a few moves and poses, and then suddenly drop down and come to a complete stop is awesome. You sit and watch, and there are times when you don't even care if they are topless or in a thong or not, you just want to see them go back up the pole and do something as acrobatic and amazing as what you just saw. I'm waiting for the night when one leaps across from one pole to the next. This is the only club where it consistently throws special events, and invite some well-known pornstars to perform there and have a meet-and-greet. You must attend one if you haven't. One thing I appreciate is the amount of security and the strictness of the rules because at a place like that you definitely cannot be lackluster of those two things. Be careful, don't do anything stupid. There are cameras everywhere! This club is more so the "gentleman's club" it states to be, and less the typical "strip club." You won't get the type of intimacy physically from the girls like other places. Their private shows are basically a table dance in a booth, but in another "private" area. The VIP/Champagne room is basically the same exact thing, but with a bottle of booze. It's really not worth it to do that. There's zero body contact, so you just sit and watch. No high ceilings in there. Basically, you're there to enjoy the performance of the dancers and to drink. Other than that, there's the "hostess" bar aspect to it where the girls will just come beside you to "chat," then seconds later a waiter/waitress is right there asking you if you would like to buy the lady a drink. And of course, the girl will push for the $40 higher end (watered down) drink. When you decline to, the girl will leave and move on. Overall, it's a nice and clean place with a good amount of dancers, attentive waiters and waitresses, and cool events here and there. But you'll get pretty bored quickly when you're there because once you've seen the performance of the girls on stage, it's not that interesting a second time. And watching Sportscenter and ESPNEWS for the fifth consecutive time will put you to sleep. You're over it in 45-60 minutes. Just move onto the next club. read more

Is this the best way to show that I'm a pervert? OR... the victim of being dragged out to places like these?! Hint: Correct answer is the latter. Okay bear with me, I feel sleazy reviewing this place. But only he whom hath not been to a strip club ever may cast the first stone! I hardly ever get dragged out to 939, I have 3 sets of friends, and oddly, they all enjoy different strip clubs. But tonight, I was out with my cousin and her boyfriend and his coworkers. They're cool guys who work at the shipyard and most of them are bachelor's, so hanging out with them here was worth the teeth pulling it took to get me here. What I like about the place is the atmosphere, by that I'm referring to the cleanliness, spaciousness, and lights/sounds... NOT the half naked ladies. The ceiling is high and the poles are amazingly tall which allow for a bunch of pole tricks. The place isn't brightly lit, but its to the point where you can at least see what you're doing without having to bust out the cell phone for some extra lighting. The music isn't too loud, where you have to talk loudly to someone next to you. And the booths/tables are big enough to the points that you don't have to be elbow to elbow with some other dude. The staff is great too! I didn't know I couldn't text near the stage, I was told in a nice and kind voice by the big security guard that was against the rules and that I would have to move off to the side. First nice security guard at a club, I've met in a LONG time! What i don't like about the place... $5 parking. Most places like these are $3 or under or have the option for free street parking nearby. 939 has none of the sort. Also, there's a leak somewhere in 939, following the heavy rains of the weekend, the carpet was damp. They had fans over an area of carpet, this left a damp musty odor in the air. Quite the unpleasantry when you're sitting in front of a stripper and wondering if it's her or the carpet. What is OKAY about the place... the strippers (which is totally preference, so take this part with a grain of salt). The club has a variety of ladies, from tatted up vixens to school-girl wannabe psuedo jail-baiters. They employ haoles, locals, asians, latinos, and even an ebony lady or two. Not all girls are your typical size 4 and under, some are a lot thinner, some are a lot bigger. And while I don't mind the equal opportunity... sometimes, you just won't see the girls you want to see. Unless of course you're a regular, or you stalk them, or you just so happen to remember their schedule. CREEPY! But if you're a random walk in like me, there's a chance you might not like the type of girls on stage that night, they usually have 3 on stage and 2 walking the floor. Another OKAY about the club is the waitresses, they look good, but come off a little snoby for the joint. The waitress we had hardly smiled and avoided small talk. But that's just one server, my experience with that is limited (again, grain of salt.) OVERALL, this place is A-OK! 3.5 stars in my opinion! Come here for the pole tricks and to feel a little less guilty for coming to a strip club, since this place can pretty much be considered the closest thing to a gentlemen's club in Hawaii. read more

Can't believe I'm writing this as my first Yelp review, but I just needed to express my frustration. So my wife (who is awesome) and I took my little brother who just turned 21 here yesterday and I have to say, it is a tightly run and fine-tuned dollar-making machine. Honestly should've relied on the reviews from other people or perhaps I should've noticed that a lot of the good reviews come from friends of the owner who get in for free. First impression, the place wasn't hard to find. Had to fork out five dollars as soon as I parked in the lot next to the club (tally: $5). Then, once we stepped inside and finished getting violated by a metal detector, had to fork out $24, 7 each for me and my wife, and 10 for my lil' bro who has a UH ID but not a state ID (tally: $29 before even setting foot inside). Soon as we got inside, a guy greeted us at the door asking what we would like to drink since our receipt "covers" a drink each. I asked what was available and he said that domestic beers, well drinks and sodas were included. I was naturally inclined to go for two Jacks and Cokes, at which point I was informed that that constituted a "call" drink since they didn't stock a whiskey as part of their well. Additional dollar for each drink (tally: $31). I've been to my share of strip clubs and I have to say that a strip club this place is not. The layout is HORRIBLE. You have the choice of forking out $300 for a "private" booth that gets an occasional dancer (not to mention the extra dollars you feed her), a choice between the four tiny tables between stages that are only available at any given moment throughout the night, or the stage, forcing you to automatically tip. Otherwise, you can just stand around like a loser and block someones "private" booth view. We were lucky enough to land a little table shortly after sitting at one of the stages, but don't get too comfortable yet, that's where the fun begins. After paying a trip to the men's bathroom which costed me an additional dollar or two to the guy who turns on the faucet and gives you paper towels (like I couldn't do that myself) I found my way back to my table and shelled out an additional $20 for three drinks including tip to one of the many waiters who harass you every five minutes or so (tally: $53). Shortly after sitting at our table, we had a visit from a lovely little dancer who we had previously tipped at the stage (the one my wife really liked. She was Brazilian and probably the hottest one there all night, though that's not saying too much since any girl can look good in a herd of wildebeests). She sat at our table an was accompanied by one of the waiters about one minute after who didn't give us a chance to decide whether we actually wanted to buy her a drink after asking what she wanted. She ordered a shot of vodka (water) which ran us a measly $20, not to mention the waiter had the audacity to look at me seriously and demand a tip. In his words, " $20? That's it? And then stood there and stared at me for two minutes before he pried out an additional two dollars from me to get out of my sight (tally: $75). At this point both my little brother and I's adrenaline was through the roof and I think the waiter got the hint when he came back around to offer her another drink and I kindly told him where to go. Took a trip to the bar by myself after our drinks ran out to get one for my wife and I when I was greeted by a sign on the wall that mysteriously read: 2 drink minimum. So I asked for two drinks and the bartender said I couldn't order two and kindly informed me that the sign didn't apply to me. Then demanded that I order a drink, so I told her I'd be back. Overall, I spent over $150 in about an hour and didn't see any benefit. I give this place 2.5 stars cause we had a good time, but mainly between ourselves. The strippers were uptight and kept their distance only lifting their little garter belt for you to place dollars in from a distance. I was told I was naughty by one of the strippers for making contact with her butt when I gave her a dollar. I don't know about most people on here, but when I go to a club, I expect boobs in the face and girls to actually work for their tips. Overall, one of the more expensive places I've been. Had decent fun, but don't think I'll ever be coming back. read more

Seats are itchy... like i could get Morgellon's or something in there. Bad service...the servers seem to break up the company by being "selective". Also, too expensive and the drinks sometimes induce vomiting...may be spiked. The dancers seem talented though with pole dancing. I know people who go in and other customers have stolen their purse's phones. We take iut of town guest here now and then from places that don't have strip bar and have had ok experience however this last visit was terrible. We went on a Monday remembering it was industry night. Instead of being charged $5 per person, our out of town guest were charged $20 to get in and we got bottle service. There was 9 of us. This place would not last in Vegas. Not even getring starting with the bouncer that thought he owned the club. Would not recommend going there unless u wanted to spend money and be treated like a loser. They totally lost out business. read more

Tia also has nice natural body similar to Edens. Tia dances the go-go style, and Tia knows how to dance the go-go style. Lots of guys I've noticed tip her cause of her go-go style. There are other girls that dance but there routine is so standard that don't stand out. The three girls that I mentioned are the ones that get majority of tips when they dance. A couple of guys said watch I going make it make it rain. One guy throws a bunch of 1 dollars bills. To them it's making it rain in actuality its a quick drizzle, cause the bills only drop for 3 seconds at the most. no sustained bills falling. When a guy does that the dancer knows now potential victim. Once the dancer set is over. She goes to the guy and offers the up sells which are private dance, drinks. The club offers private dances at various prices which start at 20 dollars per song upwards to 100 dollars for 15 minutes. IMO those dances are sold to younger guys because they are perving for these women. They didn't learn strippers are are all about the Hustle. Guys beware of the girls who wait towards the end of the private dance for her to get more kinky. She is trying to sell another round of dances. read more

Thank God my friend got us In with no cover, came here with a group of friends about 10 of us and they're was nowhere for all of us to sit unless we got a booth which you need to do bottle service, which is what we ended up doing. Our bottle service guy, he was great but I felt like he was trying to get rid of us because each drink he made it was 65% ciroc and the rest soda I like mine with a good ratio I'm not trying to get lit off of one drink and the only options we were given was ciroc and soda water or ciroc and sprite which is practically the same damn thing. I wish the gave more selection like some oj or cranberry but maybe I'm asking for alot I mean spending $250 for a $40 bottle of ciroc we don't deserve other things to mix it with, only good thing about bottle service you are are the have a dancer come to the table and dance which was actually the only reason bottle service may be worth it. The actual bar wasn't too bad, we were actually acknowledged without having to make a fuss, and get this they change your cash for singles without a charge! Also, I was the designated driver and in most clubs the dd doesn't pay for their soda, but here they charged I think $3-$4 for a plain soda! The selection of dancers were amazing! A really fun experience! We went got bottle service for my friends birthday... We really felt like VIP. It was an experience we wouldn't have gotten by sitting at the stage. The extremely talented dancers gave us personal dances at our table and were able to party with us!!! The servers were all great too, our server especially was efficient and introduced the best girls to our party! Her name was Samantha, ask for her!!! The club was clean and we all felt safe. For 300 dollars I expect 1 to 2 girls an hour to come and give a dance. We should have gotten at least one or two recommendation songs for the DJ. Wasn't worth it. Been here a few times with various friends. They do have a happy hour with half-off drinks 4-8 pm. No cover during happy hour, the rest of the time it's $7 with a local id. Cover includes $5 towards a drink. The staff is friendly and hot. I didn't see an asian girl there (staff or dancer) I didn't want to see on stage. The waitress I had last time was good fun to talk to and was prompt on serving our group. The girls are fun to talk to and very engaging on and off stage.
