My daughter loves her lessons at this gym. Particularly we love that different age classes start at the time time and stretch together before breaking into different groups by age / level. This makes it fun for siblings to warm up together, and not too awkward if others are late and there are only one or two from her age group at the start of class. We love the Disney music playing in the background, the large space with multiple parent sitting areas to watch different parts of the gym. The front desk staff is kind and knowledgeable. The coaches are encouraging and good at differentiating for different students' abilities in the same group. They have affordable pricing (especially compared to others in the area!) and flexible booking for makeup or additional one-time classes. We love this gym. The website was a little confusing to navigate and schedule classes in the beginning. We called and Jenna was great with getting us booked into classes once permanent spots opened. She is so wonderful with the kids too. We checked out a few other gyms before finding this place and Club Champion is by far the best. Classes are well organized and the coaches are good at creating structured routines to help the kids grow and learn new skills. My kids love coming here and Coach Emily has been instrumental in fostering their development and growth. Would highly recommend this gym! read more

The best Gymnastic place~ I really recommend this spot because it's clean and the teachers there are really nice. We've been to many gymnastic spots but this is the best place! But my honest feeling about this spot is also that if it wasn't for Jenna I hope I spelled her name right but she's the sweetest staff member there taking care of all the clients there. She keeps a personal relationship with every family and I feel like I can trust her with my child so you know this place is safe and that staff takes pride in their job position. They forced me to do a somersault on a platform and gave me neck problems and the day it happened I couldn't hear for a long minute.

My 4 year old and 18 month old love it here! My 4 year old attends a Little Champs class and looks forward to it each week. At first, she had the same coach, but it seems to alternate weekly. I wasn't sure about the weekly changes at first, but she has liked each coach she has had. I could see her confidence and agility improve each week which has been fantastic! My 18 month old does Parent and Me, and after a rough start his 1st class, he got comfortable and has so much fun climbing, hanging and swinging from the rings, and jumping/running across the tumble track. He has recently taken to the balance beam...go figure! It's a great class for him to burn energy! read more

My daughter really likes this place, the facility is great for little kids tumbling and trying gymnastics, they assign a coach for every 5-10 kids and keep them on task with the exercise that keeps changing every 10 mins or so. The class is an hour long and needs to be scheduled about a week ahead of time. We travel a while to get here and my daughter loves it so we'll keep coming. read more

I'm not a tiger mom-- hell, I'm not even female... But my 6 year old overachieving eldest son wanted to add gymnastics (sorry boys, I mean tumbling) to his weekly list of activities, and between that and more screen time, it sounded like a good idea. I don't know a lot about gymnastics. I played baseball, threw a shot put, and run half marathons. Unless you count fishing as a sport, that's pretty much my resume. But we heard good things about Club Champion, and in short, they're awesome. The coaches have done a nice job of learning their students' names, keeping them on task (read: active with no down time), and working on skills that develop balance, endurance, and strength. Since the gym expanded into the next building, more than doubling the size of the gym, there are lots of different activities and skill levels happening at the same time. Bt his serves to keep my son motivated to do better. They use the equipment appropriately, and have a lot of fun doing it. A coach just high fived my son and called him by name saying "awesome job! Nicely done!" His smile tells me they're doing it right. Parking here is a nightmare, as Waterworks Aquatics (our Thursday night place... See my mother review for details) owns the lion's share of blacktop here. Just park on the street and walk in, you'll live longer that way. There are classes for your littlest gymnast here too. This is my daughters first season (Winter), she will start her second season in two weeks. She loves going to CCG. She is proud of what she learns and is getting better at everything. I really like the atmosphere and coaches. Although, it has worked out, I feel that they do need a more professional coach vibe in the building. Most of the coaches are young looking. Maybe that shouldn't be a reason to judge them because for all we know they might be great at what they do but its not as comforting when they are all on the younger side. There is only 1 lady that looks like a serious, professional, ex-gymnist, her posture is even different. The parking is an issue if you get there from 3:20pm and on. A big shout out to this gym club. My 2 girls have been here for 4.5 years and they just can't have enough of it. This pandemic brings extremely hard situation to all the coaches and managers here but I have witnessed their extraordinary perseverance, care, and flexibility to stay in this business and stay close to all the young athletes. They have been hosting zoom lessons soon after the disaster and now thank god they open the gym again with all the strict CDC mandates. Please, come back again and support this great team. I have 2 kids and when we started our first session, LOVED It! Coaches were GREAT! FULL of energy. Referred a friend and during the summer session and we all fit our schedules so my 2 kids and hers would be together. Was very disappointed in the summer session. They coahces ALL changed. All the veteran coaches are gone and all the assistant coahces have taken over. NO energy. Feels more like "playdate" and not gymnastics. THE 1St day of summer session my son had 2 students in his classes. Was excited because he should be getting more attention and help! WRONG! The 2 kids were mostly just playing by themselves. Spoke to management about it and there response was "you should have looked up the coaches before you signed up and paid". But really, how do u look up a coaches you've never seen before? The 1St supervisor said if I didn't like it that much that they would give me credit for next session (but no refund) Now GM calls me back and says that's not even possible. They dont do that. I either can change class schedule or just deal with it. But sorry, our family schedules do not revolve around Club Champions! I guess for now I will be paying for expensive playdates. Not sure if I will come back after this. Just wanted to let parents know that once you pay, that's it. There is really no way out of it even if you feel like the class is not up to par. Don't get me wrong. It was GREAT when we first started. That's why I paid for another. Just be SURE and perhaps ask for a free session with ANY new coaches before committing. read more

Since our previous gym decided to become a hang out for parents to booze it up while the kiddos take a gymnastics class, we looked around for a new place to learn. Club Champion was intimidating at first glance. There are so many classes going on while the team is training that it appears chaotic. However, there is a method to the madness and I feel that my daughter is receiving the coaching she needs. There are many coaches that teach many levels of gymnastics. My child was evaluated and placed in an intermediate girls class and has been learning more each week at this level. We have had the opportunity to work with 4 different coaches while at this gym and all of them bring something new and useful to the table. We have learned that if you want a specific coach on a specific day, then you'd better get scheduled as soon as scheduling for the next session is available!! The gym is located behind the now closed Marie Calendar's restaurant on Foothill Blvd. There is plenty of parking and the facility is clean and cared for. There are many places for parents to sit and observe (or hang out and chat) that are not obtrusive to the gym floor where teaching is taking place. There is no risk of parents doing side-line coaching or smaller siblings toddling onto the floor while your child is trying to balance on a 4 inch beam that is 3 feet in the air! (this was common at our last gymnastics studio). Our coaches to date have been Josh, Keith, Lindsey, and Ayami. All of them have been helpful and my daughter has enjoyed all of them. There is a very competitive gymnastics team that works out during lesson time (they put in many, many hours per week) and so you can check out some mad gymnastic skills while you wait. Or you can simply do a "drop off" and come back in an hour. So if you're looking for a great place to take your child for some awesome conditioning and gymnastic skills, this is the place. Club Champion is a great place to take your kids-whether they are just starting out or advanced gymnasts. The gym caters to all levels and ages. I taught ballet to the kids at Club Champion for two years and truly found it a nurturing and welcoming environment. First off the fact that they feel ballet is a necessity for their gymnasts is all the more reason to come here and train. Not all gyms offer this special opportunity. Due to work changes I had to leave, but they now have a great new ballet instructor for kids. Offering artistry with the sport The staff is lovey and hard working. They always put the kids first and will spend as much time as is needed to make sure the kids improve in their skills and enjoy their time. They really do produce amazing talent among the dedicated young gymnasts. The rec gym is a great place to bring your kids who want to learn the basics of gymnastics and more. Awesome-trained coaches who will cater to each kid individually as well as helping them work well as a team with their group class. Lastly, the gym also offers privates to adults at a very good price. My husband is a dancer like me and wanted to start incorporating some new exciting tricks for a show he was rehearsing for. Coach Josh was amazing and helped my husband accomplish some extraordinary things within only 3 sessions. Now that my daughter has been coming for over 6 months multiple times a week, there are a couple issues not with customer service everyone is very friendly, the coaches are great. My issues are with the amount of make up classes and communication with the coaches. With the Make-up classes your only allowed 3 no matter how many days your child goes. Let's say your child is enrolled for 3 days a week, your child has the flu and is sick for a week and cannot go to gym. Well now your child has missed 3 Classes and they can be made up no problem, the issue now comes when your child misses another class later on, that class cannot be made up since you already made up 3. With communication between coaches, if a child goes multiple times a week coaches should get together and talk about how the child is doing in each class so everyone is on the same page. I have one coach telling me my daughter should move down a class it's to much for her, one saying she is new to this class and keep going and see what happens after the session and another telling me she is doing good. If I enroll my child multiple times a week we should get more than 3 makeups since we're spending more money than someone who goes 1 time a week. I will give them 5 stars again when the makeup policy changes to 3 Makeups per class your child is enrolled in and coaches are on the same page when talking to parents about their children. read more

Great coaches and well run organization. My 3 year old has worked with Coach Sam, Coach Omari and Coach Lindsey. All are great with the kids and are very patient. Place was getting a little ripe (funky sweaty locker room smell) a couple of weeks ago but it smells like they just disinfected so it's back to normal. I see all levels of proficiency and it looks like they're really good at placing kids in the right class for their level. Definitely would recommend. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but this needed to said. We are in Cali from NYC. I found this place through a friend and I can't say enough good things about it. My son is four and maybe a little shy and needs a bit of attention. They took such good care of him. There was always the warmest welcome when we got there and he got so much love from these coaches through out the day. He talked about them all the time. If he was having a bad day the would call just so I knew but made sure they got him on track. He learned so much and gained great control over his body. If you want to learn from people who say they are professionals but really aren't, this is the place to go. At first, its odd how only a couple people 2-3 come to their open tumble class. But with closer inspection, you can see the coaches aren't really trained to be coaches. They teach what they want to teach(back tucks handsprings etc) and could care less if you get injured. If you come in with no experience at all, you are bound to get injured severely. (Fractured wrists, sprains, radial fractures etc) The space is small, its not really a good place for tumbling and its pretty dangerous. They have a tiny fence barricade from going out into their "resting room" that is covered with chairs and tables. The parking space is horrendous and they need to find better coaches for sure. This could be a great place for kids under 6 but definitely not for older kids and those seeking a professional career at this location. read more

First off I just want to say if I could give 10 stars each to Coach Lisa and Coach Samantha, I would. They are wonderful with the younger children. Both girls are exuberant, professional and very capable with working with a variety of little personalities. The gym should give them both a raise as their classes are packed. They remember all the names of the children and warmly welcome them each class. Because of the wonderful way they worked with my daughter, I enrolled in a second set of classes this summer. We participated in the transitional two program in which young kiddos are working on participating in a group setting and transitioning towards taking directions and instruction from a teacher figure. Lisa and Sam do beautifully at making the children feel comfortable. My daughter is definitely on the more clingy side and struggles with having me away. The class is great in the fact that it permits the caregiver to participate as needed and fade away as the child becomes more able to engage with the coaches. Great opportunity here. I ding a star for a couple reasons. One because there are some kids who aren't quite ready, not the problem, but their parents do not come in and assist with the transition. One kiddo was all over the place cutting in lines and pushing and the parent is on their cell phone outside of the practice area. Again, kiddo not following protocol is not an issue...they are learning. The coaches are so busy with this group...in a good way, (modeling, assisting, teaching etc) and while they attempt to corral up all the kiddos, it is a tricky job. Many parents participate as needed as the title of the class implies, but there are those that do not who stand (or shall I say sit) idly by and look at their iPhones. I'm not sure if coaches or management should address this with said parents but something should be done. Also, the gym does have a funky smell as a couple others have mentioned. ;) read more

Here is what I know for sure: My daughter and I LOVE this place! I have never had a negative situation. Every visit has been a pleasant one and I HIGHLY recommend them! True, parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time you are enrolled. My child is in the 5:45 class and the class before ends at 5:30 giving us plenty of time to get a spot. We've never really had an issue but I can see why it can be for others. We enrolled my daughter for once a week this current session and have already upped it to 2 classes for the next. I made sure I looked at the best time for all of us so as not to need make up classes. But again, I can see why it's an issue if your child misses because of illness as this is out of your control. However, any other reason, then maybe you should decide on a better day as 3 make ups is substantial. That said, I also agree that it should be "per class" not session if you do attend multiple classes. The odds of needing more than that I'm sure is slim. Keep in mind though, I can see staff having to put restrictions because I'm sure a "select few" had milked the system and ruined it for the rest. But who knows! read more

This is a review for the Little Champs Parent & Me class. My son is 2 years old and I enrolled him in a gymnastics class in downtown and he loved it. When we moved to Pasadena, I enrolled him in this class and the quality is embarrassing. We tried two different teachers hoping it was just the teacher, but it was not that. The class is not well thought out. One teacher had too much structure and couldn't adjust the class layout when the toddlers did not want to do what he had in his schedule at the time. They are toddlers! You have to be flexible. The second teacher did not engage with the toddlers and when they lost interest and looked visibly bored a lot of the time. He also didn't know how to handle shy students and made them feel more uncomfortable. There are only 1-3 students in each class, so it is not a fun atmosphere. I'm sure this club is great for older kids, but the class for toddlers is not well thought out. Your money would be better spent at Gymboree or My Gym. read more

I can honestly say now having been the parent of a participant here for about six months that everything is completely professional. all the staff is pleasant to interact with and genuinely friendly and welcoming. I like the coach Samantha my daughter has worked with along with Lisa a few times. Keep in mind my daughter is only 2 1/2 so this is going through three different series of classes includes preschool class which is more based for three and four-year-olds. We started with the parent interactive class but it just didn't seem appropriate for her level as she is not afraid to be away from us and let us just watch. Then we did the transition twos and now we have moved into the preschool gym class for the little champs coaches are always very helpful and encouraging and I know that my daughter is safe. I can't wait for her to move on to some of the more advanced classes as she owns her technique. read more

First camp, daughter just turned 5 and first time doing anything like this. Her first day she was really scared for some reason and didn't want to leave me but I do what I normally do when she does that and just handed her to a coach. The lady coach was super sweet and brought her in the group trying to get her to feel comfortable. Took 10 min but after that she was fine and enjoyed the rest of the time soooooo much, can I express so again! If you guys know me then you know I'm super critical of service and quality so let me say that this place is AMAZING in those departments. The staff is really trained, no idea for how long but it must be rigorous as all coaches are on the same page. It's amazing how good they are, they have complete control of the groups and have seen multiple situations where they discipline the groups & kids. I love that so much, kids not listening and they check them, is so important for their future in so many ways. Forget the exercising part, just the interaction is great for them in all ways. The activities are great and push the kids individually, training in rolling, balance, strength and conditioning and LISTENING TO INSTRUCTIONS. They are worn out after so they will sleep earlier which is always a good thing :) I would have given 5 stars but I save 5 stars for things that blow my mind so don't think that diminishes this place. If you can afford it I highly recommend coming here or to something like it, really is an amazing experience for them. This is an initial review after 2 weeks. I was hoping to avoid consecutive classes for my 2 kids and sitting around in a gym for 2 hours while occupying one child at a time, so I found a couple of gyms that had simultaneous classes for my 3 and 5 yr old. After taking trial classes, I let my children decide where they'd like to go, and they chose Club Champion. Many of my friends (over half a dozen) bring their multiple children here too and just love it. Well, it's been hit or miss. My 5 yr old "don't like being put on the spot" but full of energy son is in the 5-6 yr old boys class and just loves it. But he's the shortest one and can't reach any of the apparatus, so he yells, "Hey, I can't reach!" until an instructor comes over to lift him. Boys will be boys, and left to their own devices, dawdle, jump around, goof off, or just roll and around and do nothing. So, if the instructor is doing some individual instruction, then that's what the boys tended to do. The instructor showed/told my son how to do a donkey kick as a precursor to a handstand, then just kinda left him to practice with barely any guidance. Luckily, the instructor was nearby and caught my son when he managed to flip all the way over. Maybe my son was doing it correctly, but seems to me you'd line up all 6 boys and have them do it together. Then when 2 boys are taking turns on the rings, you have the 4 remaining boys watch with rules to not goof off. Ultimately, whatever, my son was loving it. My 3 yr old, Miss Independent, focused, go get 'em daughter was all for it last week, but the instructor said she had a hard time paying attention (hello, she's 3 and in a new gym filled with lots of big girls tumbling and flipping around) plus wasn't quite ready for her class (they put her in the Advanced preschooler class, huh?), but she mysteriously cried and flipped out this week. The instructors all had this deer in the headlights look like they'd panic if left with her (Mistake #1 around a preschooler - don't let them smell fear). Then a male instructor she's never seen before kept saying how much fun class would be and doesn't she want to join in (Mistake #2 & #3, don't approach a crying child if she's never met you and don't ask a preschooler if she wants to do something, you have to tell her). Finally, I suggested to one instructor that usually you just have to take her and get her started and she'll stop crying. The instructor lasted about a minute with her all the while looking for me before I got disgusted and told her to just give my daughter back to me. (Turns out my daughter was still hungry and probably had low blood sugar, because she perked right up after I gave her an additional snack.) What I like: -real gymnastics instruction as opposed to a lot of song and dance and circle time -real warm ups are done with all of the kids of all levels together, so my beginner 5 yr old was encouraged by seeing the more advanced kids doing the same thing. -simultaneous classes -front desk was very accommodating and offered to reschedule above crying child's class for another day What I don't like: -ridiculously crowded (just as other reviewers have mentioned) -smells like stinky socks -construction is being carried on next door to expand the gym even more. There's tarp covering the walls -classes migrate between two rooms, so with 2 kids I'm running around trying to monitor them (and I just happened to be in the wrong room when my son came up to me with an ice pack on his shoulder escorted by another parent. What happened?? Don't know...) -kids seem left to their own devices if the instructor does any one on one time -instructors don't seem to know how to deal with less than perfectly attentive little kids whereas at other gyms the instructors just happily swooped up my always crying son and distracted him off to have him laughing within a minute -can't figure out how this is engaging for the younger children if there's no music/games Anyway, ultimately I'm not looking for my children to become gymnasts. They've both been begging me to do gymnastics, and they chose this. I just want them to get some physical activity out of the hot sun, have fun, and maybe learn a skill and gain some strength and flexibility. So we'll see how it goes. I'll try to be optimistic. Hopefully in a few more weeks, I can update this review more positively. read more

BUYER BEWARE! The classes and instructors are good but do not purchase anything there if you are in doubt. I bought a $42 unitard there and tried to return it two days later only to be informed that they do not accept returns. The staff was supposed to have informed me of this at time of purchase, but they did not and there are no signs posted nor information on the receipt. The girls at the front desk could not even find signage when i asked them. I emailed the owner and she is still not accepting the return even though they were negligent (no signs, no verbal forewarning at purchase). They say it's for sanitary reasons, but the leotard has the tag on it. How do all other stores accept bathing suits back with tags but somehow they do not??? read more

A bunch of teenagers and early twenty somethings who are quick to chastise busy hard working parents over policies that serve to maximize the company's convenience, at the cost, of course, of the clients'. Be selective about instructors, too. Most have nice energy, but only a few seem to really know what they're doing. Considering the expense, I dunno. Considering Stars in W. My daughter had an amazing experience here this summer. She went to a week of "champ camp" and it was incredible. The coaches were positive and energetic and they motivated my daughter to learn so much in a very short time. The price was reasonable and the fun was well worth it. The show on the last day of camp gave me chills! They organized a routine of the kids' new skills to show the parents, ending with a medal ceremony that made each kid feel proud with smiles from ear to ear. Classes are great for the kids HOWEVER for the parents don't bother using their free Wi-Fi! Every site is blocked and management blames their IT director... And all the other devices! It would just be better not even to offer Wi-Fi or advertising you have free Wi-Fi for parents having to sit and wait. Little business tip here! It's the parents that pay to bring their children here. Customer service starts with the parents not with the children! I cannot say enough great things about Club Champion Gymnastics. It's a beautiful facility that is comfortable for both children and adults. The owner, Zak, is always working on improving the building and equipment. He also has hired an incredibly talented staff. My daughter took an introductory class and it was quite difficult for her. Yet she loved it and decided that she wanted to spend her summer at Club Champion's Champ Camp. Throughout the summer coaches Grant, Alex, Derek, and Kristen were extremely encouraging and she learned so many new skills. She could not wait to get there each day. When school started she insisted on continuing. Coaches Grant, Justin, Basil, and John kept her focused on improving her skills. Yet to her, it's all fun. When she was getting close to advancing a level, her coaches spent extra time and attention on her to make sure she would make it. She even celebrated her birthday there and since then many of her friends have decided to give it a try. Never has throwing a birthday party been easier. Justin, Basil, Grant and Lisa were our hosts and the party was enjoyed by all. At the heart of all the hustle and bustle you'll encounter there is Emily. Thank goodness for Emily. She seems to handle everything...all the front desk responsibilities, forgotten ponytail holders, first aid, reminders to register. She does it all. read more
