a stage set up for a concert

My wife and I attended a Windjammers concert at Club Madrid. First, if you love Yacht Rock (best of 70'80's music) this band is TOP SHELF. It was free (still not sure how that works) but we loved 90 minutes of amazing music. We were very impressed with Club Madrid also. The space was clean and comfortable. For a fairly small venue, they have done a great job with audio and lighting. I am an audio snob - the gear is solid and the audio engineer did a great job with the mix. The venue is simple to find...we loved it.

My mother received an offer in the mail from Sunset Station for a free room and comp tickets to see a show. She asked if I wanted to go to Vegas with her...hell yes!!...to see the show. Our tickets were for a group called Supreme Reflections, a tribute band to Diana Ross and The Supremes. We honestly didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to see the show was a documentary type of performance, which included a video/picture montage. It included a host who introduced the group and in between their wardrobe changes, he provided a history on Diana Ross and The Supremes from the time they got together through her solo career. He also sung some of the duets that Supremes did with other groups, like The Temptations. The venue is really nice. We were very comfortable. Our tickets said that we get a booth, so we were very grateful to have an entire booth to relax in and watch the show. One thing that concerns me with many venues like this one is the air conditioning blowing at full blast in my face the whole time. I do not like to be cold. I like to be comfortable when seeing a show and I have been frozen solid many times by the time the show is over. Thankfully this didn't happen this time. Everything was really nice and comfortable. Even the cocktail waitress was very friendly attentive. All in all, it was a really fun experience!

My review of Club Madrid is for its use as a concert venue. I went here last night for the Jose Feliciano concert. The seating was arranged in almost a semi-circle fashion in front of its proscenium stage. Last night, the seating was arranged into four sections. The things I liked were the chairs were padded and weren't simply folding metal chairs which become tiresome during a concert. Also, they were not attached to each other with self-locking plastic ties--again something than some venues do. The negatives of the seating were that the chairs were close together and while there was plenty of legroom under the chair in front, you couldn't cross your legs without whacking the person sitting next to you. For the concert last night, the sound was excellent. The sound people were on their toes and kept things at the correct level all night. I also noticed the number of lights in the club and watched as they were used very effectively for the concert. This is an OK venue for a concert.

No one should be afraid to speak their minds. Think of music as a book club exchange of thoughts, stories, and emotions.

Madrid. Home of the largest art museums in Spain. Is now the home to one of Las Vegas's largest collaboration of musical artist. Think of music as a book club exchange of thoughts, stories, and emotions. Where Everyday Fears can be exchanged for Tears of Joy.An open book which is best understood on the open roads. Michael Grimm and the Delta Bound Band

Once again we traveled to Club Madrid to see Michael Grimm and The Delta Bound Band. The band included a number of regulars and back-up singers, but there were a few regulars missing on this evening perhaps due to the holiday the prior evening. The sound is very good and seating was not a problem though the venue is relatively small. A number of people took advantage of the dance floor during the performance.

Yellow Brick Road plays classic rock at Club Madrid Friday nights. My friends introduced me to this band and they are great musicians and the show is fun, lively and everyone dances The band members are friendly, funny, inclusive and they have a very dedicated following. A fantastic ROCKING time!

We have met the owners of this unique place and they are very cool, friendly and passionate about their business. This place offers delicious, creative, and strong drinks, and gourmet food with bold flavors and generous portions. The food was not your ordinary bar food. Definitely gourmet. We have tried: the overstuffed burger - delicious, chicken and waffles- fresh and perfectly fried chicken, French toast- big portion and very filling. Every menu item that we had was definitely prepared fresh and elevated with bold flavors and creative pairings that actually worked. Portions were surprisingly generous too. We definitely didn't leave hungry, and even took home leftovers. The drinks were just as impressive. Delicious, creative, and super strong. They aren't messing around at the bar and every cocktail matched the vibe perfectly. Overall: Electric Mushroom manages to feel very authentic and unique place, and totally different from anything else in town. It offers cool and fun vibes . We had an amazing experience and we highly recommend it!!!

Remember guys, you'll get in free if you're on the guestlist if you find a girl to go with. Which if you're in Vegas you should try to socialize & tag along with girls you meet or ask them if they want to join your guest list instead. Most of the time if you're nice & explain your situation, the girls will do you a solid. Be nice, don't try to take them home or flirt your way into their girls trip, just ask if it's okay to tag along with them to enter the club as a favor. I want to start my review by saying that my love for Drais' is unmatched. What I love about Drais' is that you do get the vibe that you're in a hip hop music video & it's crazy to see all different ethnicities singing to "Mo Bamba" unreal vibes. The atmosphere is like entering a bdsm red & black dungeon. The gogo dancers do choreographed dances & they give you a good show. The DJ really does hype you up. "I want everyone to grab their friends right now." "I want everyone to put your hands up." "If you know this song, sing it!" I had not visited this club in years & I think it's because it felt too crazy for me. Let's just say, we the guests' on the dance floor sometimes became spectators to things that should have been kept behind closed doors between a man & a woman. I am in my 30s & I guess I am not as easily taken aback as I used to be. The crowd is very diverse & a bit unhinged (as mentioned earlier). It's hard for security to catch certain things but things can still happen. This time I was not on the dance floor though, I was on the outskirts standing near the bar area because I am older now & need my personal space. When I was younger, I would enjoy being on the dance floor next to people but that also came with men slapping or pinching my ass & me not knowing who did it. Or guys coming behind me & wanting to grind on me. Or men grabbing my arms or waist to pull me in to dance with them. In a way, I'm glad those days are over. I think I would get a table here next time on the upper balcony level though. I'm willing to spend the big bucks now.

I found Brian's name from reviews and decided to book through him so we would have a contact to check in with to make sure everything went smoothly. He was friendly and although it seemed like the same deal I would have gotten online, they really treated us like VIPs. I think booking though him gave us that special treatment, but I don't know. All I can say is that it sure didn't hurt so text him at 773-459-8133 and he will help you get set up for the night. There were three of us so we opted for the $500 ++ table minimum. The table we got was actually the perfect spot in the club. There is a runway stage that the performers were going to be on around 2am that our table backed up to. We were allowed to dance on it until then and it was so fun. We liked being above the dance floor and right next to our belongins so we could dance while keeping an eye on our things. My only complaint is that as the club filled up and the rest of the tables filled we kind of got squeezed out. Our seating for 3 squeezed down to seating for 2 so we had to rotate a bit. Now let me tell you about our server. Our server was Ashley. I swear she is the prettiest girl I have ever seen. What a vision! Anyway, I am sure she is used to men throwing money and jewels at her so getting a table of 3 ladies who none of us drink the same thing, and we are obviously too old to be clubbing, was not on her wishlist for the night. But I have to tell you she was the nicest person we could have gotten. She was so helpful and took excellent care of us. I just told her that as long as the birthday girl always had a full glass of wine we would be happy. So every time she passed by she dropped her off a glass of wine and checked on us. I was more than happy to give her an extra hundred on top of the required gratuity. Overall a nice experience.

In my opinion there are more spacious nightclubs in Vegas with better vibes and easier access to getting a drink.

However the night quickly turned sour when we tried to exit. We came in through the ally in the back because we purchased a special ticket for Juneteenth. We came in ordered a drink and then went upstairs. Music was great vibes great. I always wondered why my job was soooo big on a "notable farewell" and now I get it. We tried to exit the through the same area where we entered. It looked like an entrance only area so we saw an exit sign to the left of the bar in the back. We walked over but we saw it blocked off. We 100% WERE NOT going to try to get past the blockage however the Asian, woman, bartender in the back promptly approached us shaking her finger and rolling her neck telling us we could not exit there. Well to us that was very obvious. When we asked her where to exit she blatantly ignored us and started flashing her flashlight at the security. Never helped or guided us at all! I get it she might have been tired of telling people that they cannot exit there all night, however it was out first time trying to locate an exit and for her to flip out on us like that is unacceptable. We eventually made our way to a security guard who told us to exit in the front. AT NO POINT did ANYONE tell us "be sure to exit out the front". Maybe adding that line when entering through the back would be helpful. All in all I had a good night until the bartender in the back threw off the vibes of an otherwise successful Juneteenth.

Since their recent opening, they have had some slow nights that warranted closing up earlier than their posted hours -- something to keep in mind. They also only seem to be serving "mocktails" at the moment (no alcohol). Dine in to enjoy live music on weekends! So how's the food? I really had high hopes because I enjoy some good Cajun-style seafood and their menu (especially during weekends) offers great variety from Frog Legs and Oysters "Rockafella" to Gumbo and Seafood Boil. They even offer several Vegan entrees and dessert. Unfortunately, the dishes I tried just didn't hit as expected. Surf & Turf Burger. Big, plump shrimp with no shortage of ooey gooey cheese but even with the plethora of sauces and seasonings, the flavors didn't quite pop. Just a standard burger with added shrimp. Good bun, though, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Grilled Salmon & Shrimp. Again, great presentation of seafood and creamy sauce filled with various goodies like crawfish, all WITH a generous helping of cheese grits. Sounds heavenly but not a dish for which I'd go out of my way. Shrimp was perfectly tender but salmon was dry and definitely needed the sauce. Good Sizzler/Texas style garlic toast on the side. Seafood Potato With Salad. Okay, this was the main event that drew me to this place but WOW, was I disappointed. It was literally a baked potato broiled with seafood and cheese. I expected much more flavor. For some reason, the cheese grits accompanying this dish had an unpleasantly pungent, foot-like aroma and taste that was not as noticeable in the Salmon dish, possibly attributed to the cheese blend? I really wanted to report back with glowing praises, especially since the owners and staff are so warm and welcoming! I hope my remarks help this business grow and improve with time. I would still return for the music and intimate, speakeasy atmosphere.
