Went to Club Madrid inside Sunset Station on 4/11/25 to watch the classic rock cover band Yellow Brick Road with one of my meetup groups. Let's just say...where has this cover band been all my life?! The five of us got in line at 7:30pm, just to get a good spot on the floor right when the doors opened at 8:00pm. Admission to get in was free and we were allowed to bring in our own water and snacks. A small bar is also located inside. I drove here so I couldn't really drink any alcohol or cocktails, plus I left my water in the car, so I got myself a soda, which was only $3 plus tip. What a deal! Club Madrid is one of the coziest clubs I've been to so far. The surround sound was perfect (not too quiet or too loud) and the dance floor is very spacious. Seeing everybody dance along to their favorite classic rock songs was totally awesome, and I got to dance myself and get up close with the band at one point. As someone who has parents that listened to a bunch of classic rock when I was younger and being hooked onto it ever since, I knew and sang along to every song that they played. Some songs on their set list were Back in Black by AC/DC, Any Way You Want It by Journey, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. They took the stage at 9:00pm, where they played for about two hours (no intermission) before closing their show with Hot For Teacher by Van Halen. Two people in our meetup group had to leave a little early, but myself and two others stayed for the entire duration of the show. Hint: if you want to see YBR perform, their next show will be at Boulder Station on 4/25/25. They are AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed. read more

80's night! This is a fun and easy little bar outside the club Madrid that sits inside Sunset Station Casino. They have barstools and slot machines you can sit. You can also sit or stand at a table top. The bar opens up and has some big screens (we watched the winter X-Games hosted in Aspen) and a great view of the stage in Club Madrid. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with extra olives. The bartender is fast, friendly, and makes a tasty drink. He keeps a clean and stocked bar. You can tell he enjoys his job. Everyone was singing along with the band and the seats were full. The only draw back on this particular visit was the smoking. I had to leave. I was getting a headache. The ventilation at this time is temporarily hindered due to the wall that is up right behind that area. The Casino is doing a wonderful job of renovating and unfortunately until that area is complete it's not as enjoyable. You must checkout The Sports book! It is amazing. So nice! I'm looking forward to 80's night when the construction is done. read more

I absolutely love this club. My husband and I had the time of our lives watching The Wind Jammers yacht rock show. They are fantastic. We have also seen a few other shows here throughout the years, but Wind Jammers has definitely been our favorite. We stay at this casino once or twice a year. It's so worth it to enjoy a show in this beautiful venue. Ambiance is fun with plenty of room to dance the night away. Crowd is not Vegas 21 year olds. I'm 38 but an old soul and love the crowds and vibes here. read more

We had a blast at this club! There was a free live band, "Yellow Brick Road" which would suggest Elton John, but the band played everything from Van Halen to AC/DC to Led Zeppelin, Foreigner, to most of your 70's-80's rock and they were GOOD! We arrived late so sadly no tables were left to accommodate our party of three but they did have chairs on the side, so we sat there. (There were VIP tables in the back but those were $100 minimum but plenty of other tables if you get there early.) The venue was spacious and the AC was great. Beers were around $5-6 dollars. (Angry Orchard and Corona's) Water was $3 for a SMALL bottle (half sized- the size casino's give out.) So, forget that! Might as well have a beer. We danced the night away and there were dozens of people on the dance floor (maybe hundreds.) I highly recommend going and seeing this band and the club. I am brand new to Henderson so looking forward to going back. read more

My wife and I attended a Windjammers concert at Club Madrid. First, if you love Yacht Rock (best of 70'80's music) this band is TOP SHELF. It was free (still not sure how that works) but we loved 90 minutes of amazing music. We were very impressed with Club Madrid also. The space was clean and comfortable. For a fairly small venue, they have done a great job with audio and lighting. I am an audio snob - the gear is solid and the audio engineer did a great job with the mix. Tables that aren't flocked by the dance floor standers are $100 drink minimum, easy. Service to your $100 table is mediocre at best, had to go flag down the bar manager to get the waitress to show up first. She never came back until we ran her down and asked for service at our table. The venue isn't a dance hall. They have an actual dance floor but when bands like 80s station plays, everyone just stands on the dance floor like its a mosh pit or the front row of a barrier at a concert. A terrible venue for dancing since you can't even dance since there's no dance floor. They should make a standing area for all the groupies who just want to stand around and leave the dance floor open for actual....dancing. read more

My mother received an offer in the mail from Sunset Station for a free room and comp tickets to see a show. She asked if I wanted to go to Vegas with her...hell yes!!...to see the show. Our tickets were for a group called Supreme Reflections, a tribute band to Diana Ross and The Supremes. We honestly didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to see the show was a documentary type of performance, which included a video/picture montage. It included a host who introduced the group and in between their wardrobe changes, he provided a history on Diana Ross and The Supremes from the time they got together through her solo career. He also sung some of the duets that Supremes did with other groups, like The Temptations. The venue is really nice. We were very comfortable. Our tickets said that we get a booth, so we were very grateful to have an entire booth to relax in and watch the show. One thing that concerns me with many venues like this one is the air conditioning blowing at full blast in my face the whole time. I do not like to be cold. I like to be comfortable when seeing a show and I have been frozen solid many times by the time the show is over. Thankfully this didn't happen this time. Everything was really nice and comfortable. When a rocking classic rock tribute band is my destination, I have followed the Yellow Brick Road. On a recent Friday night the Yellow Brick Road led me to Club Madrid in Sunset Station. Yellow Brick Road is not a road. Yellow Brick Road is an entertaining and highly talented cover band that performs the greatest tunes of Led Zeppelin, Styx, Van Halen, Kansas, Journey, Pink Floyd and several classic rock bands. They totally rock. In my earlier days yelping I wrote reviews of the gigs they played at when I reviewed the South Padre Night Club and a night club in South Point. That was then. This review is now. Currently they play down the road from me in Club Madrid, a popular nighttime spot in Sunset Station. Club Madrid is both a club and bar. There is an admission fee to get in the club where the bar along the Sunset Station walkway overlooking the club and stage only requires a drink. I'd rock to the Yellow Brick Road at the bar. The bar provides spectacular views of the band and people dancing to the songs on the floor. Even a server was singing along. The Friday night party that brings Club Madrid to life starts around 10:30 P.M. when the Yellow Brick Road hits the stage. In similar fashion to a few Station bars that I have patronized, draft beer is unavailable. So, I went for my favorite bottle beer: a Corona with lemon. It costed around $6. The beer went well with the live concert in front of me. The classics that Yellow Brick Road were rocking down the house with accelerated the bar experience to a stratospheric level. As I drank the beer, my ear drums were drinking up the rock and roll. On the Club Madrid Stage, Yellow Brick Road led me on a two hour classic rock journey (they also sing Journey songs) that included Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher," rock my head to Led Zeppelin's "Living, Loving, She's Just A Woman," Pink Floyd's "Time," Guns N Rose's "Paradise City," and Rush's "Tom Sawyer." I hope that Yellow Brick Road is a Friday night fixture at Club Madrid for months to come. If that's the case, the Yellow Brick Road will lead me back to Club Madrid on Friday night. If you grew up with classic rock or just love this music by bands including Styx, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and other artists; I recommend seeing Yellow Brick Road. Because they are playing at Club Madrid on Friday night, I recommend driving to Sunset Station to see them. Because I am reviewing a bar featuring a classic rock tribute band on Friday night, I conclude it with an Internet toast: "A toast to classic rock. Your records are like bottles of fine wine. My review of Club Madrid is for its use as a concert venue. I went here last night for the Jose Feliciano concert. The seating was arranged in almost a semi-circle fashion in front of its proscenium stage. Last night, the seating was arranged into four sections. The things I liked were the chairs were padded and weren't simply folding metal chairs which become tiresome during a concert. Also, they were not attached to each other with self-locking plastic ties--again something than some venues do. The negatives of the seating were that the chairs were close together and while there was plenty of legroom under the chair in front, you couldn't cross your legs without whacking the person sitting next to you. For the concert last night, the sound was excellent. The sound people were on their toes and kept things at the correct level all night. I also noticed the number of lights in the club and watched as they were used very effectively for the concert. This is an OK venue for a concert. read more

Once again we traveled to Club Madrid to see Michael Grimm and The Delta Bound Band. The band included a number of regulars and back-up singers, but there were a few regulars missing on this evening perhaps due to the holiday the prior evening. The sound is very good and seating was not a problem though the venue is relatively small. A number of people took advantage of the dance floor during the performance. read more

I'm writing a review for the venue part of Club Madrid rather than the club itself. I was there on a Saturday night for the Vertical Horizon/Nine Days concert. Right before going in, a very nice older gentleman gave me and the BF VIP passes, which meant we could sit anywhere on the left (as opposed to standing), and we had open bar for the whole show! I realize I really love small venues where you can get up close and personal with the music acts without all the barriers or security holding you back. Plus, the performers tend to talk to the audience more when it's a smaller venue because they can actually see faces out there. The sound system was pretty decent and I can't complain 'cuz I could see everything from where I was sitting. The VIP passes included top shelf stuff, so I got a nice little buzz going on after ordering the 12 drinks between the two of us. Haha! They also let you have in and out privileges so you can grab some grub if you need it. Too bad you have to leave to find the restrooms though. After the show, you're allowed to stay for the club part. And we stayed for a little while, it was really sad though because no one was there. The deejay was doing okay, maybe it was just too early on a Saturday night for the place to be filled. We would have stayed longer if the VIP passes lasted into the club part. Overall, not bad for a music venue place though. Small and personal. read more

I dont get out much so I was excited to see some live music. So the Billboard by freddys burgers said 9 pm the sign inside said 9:30 and on the opposite side it said 10. Its 10:23 and their still not on. Very unprofessional! I'm giving them 5 min and I'm out of here. Well I left at 10:30 and I can promise I'll never go see Yellow Brick Road again. Back in the day Club Madrid was the spot to dance and party your booty off. Now there is major competition with GVR right down the way is my guess because as of today Club Madris is a sad out-dated venue. Saturday night, Spazmatics and hardly anyone there. Spazmatics is definitely worth the show and even they cant bring the customers in? A beer and a water was 7 bucks at the bar. We were charged for the little Station Casinos water. Hmm. Great place to watch football on Sunday!! All the staff are really nice and the drinks are dirt cheap better then the strip! Waitresses never left us empty. I'm definitely coming back for more when I come down! They had raffle prizes that day too. All in all it's a good place to go and hang out! read more

Over the course of the last year I have become a fan of the Sin City Sinners, one of the best bands in Las Vegas. Club Madrid is the band's usual weekly haunt, so I find myself coming here frequently, often once a week. The place also hosts a variety of other bands/events/etc., as well as concerts for "major" artists that play small venue shows. However, this review is based primarily around the venue being used for Sin City Sinners shows. As far as the layout of the club goes, it's damn near perfect. Pretty much everywhere in the place is a good seat; you shouldn't have trouble seeing the stage. If you want to sit down, there are plenty of tables and chairs, plus you can reserve booths in the back of the venue in advance. If you want to get up close and personal with the bands, there is a "dance floor" of sorts, so you can go crazy, or just stand close to the stage. If you want to get on the floor and rock out, you can definitely do that here. Service is always good as well. While I myself am not a drinker, I have never come to the venue and not had a server come around and ask me if I want anything. It feels good to be noticed and not ignored. The security staff are not afraid to eject anyone who gets out of hand or causes trouble, which is good. I only have two minor complaints with the venue (and these complaints are certainly NOT unique to Club Madrid): 1) The music played over the speakers/on the video screens between sets is played FAR TOO LOUD. It is almost impossible to have a conversation during this time without yelling. As I run a classic rock fan group, I am constantly on the hunt for new members, plus I like to socialize with my usual company. Seriously, they could achieve the same effect with this music if they played it at 2/3 the volume they do currently. 2) Smoking is allowed. I am prejudiced here, being a non-smoker, but I definitely believe something is wrong when I come home after a long hard night of rock and roll, and my girlfriend complains that I smell like smoke. It also makes for a more stuffy atmosphere in the club, and it makes me wish the place was at least a little more well ventilated. Still, my complaints are minor. This is a terrific concert venue. If you have the chance to see a show here, don't hesitate to do so. read more

We experienced the following after paying a 20 dollar cover: Bad alcohol pours, health code violations (one of the managers was eating a hot dog behind the bar...right next to the bartender making drinks), inconsiderate staff members, etc. We like to spend a lot of money at bars we like...and this definitely not one of them. read more

Went there to see Ottmar Leibert in concert. The venue is very small. Acoustics not very good. The seats were horrible, plastic and uncomfortable. I felt like I was at a high school band performance. We come here to watch the UFC fights from time to time. $10 general admission. The fights are shown on several big screens and it's smoke-free! (Difficult to find in this town). Every round, there is a special on a diff kind of shot (Jameson, jack, some kind of tequila, etc.) beer buckets are $25 for domestic $30 for imported. Each fight they raffle something off to a few people (ex: future beer bucket) Good spot to watch the fights if you don't want to pay full-price to watch it at home. read more

Great club with awesome light and sound that would compliment any venue or genre of music. Great service from club staff. The only downfall is poor air circulation and there is not an option for a non smoking section. Even if you pay for a VIP booth you are most likely going to be surrounded by chain smokers. A couple of us went to Club Madrid in the Sunset Station Casino on Thursday May 1st to catch the 2nd set of the band playing after dinner in the steak house. The band was enjoyable as it consisted of a diverse group of talented musicians and singers. The offensive exception was an electric violinist named "Nina" who was rudely profane and hard to look at as she was anorexic in a micro mini skirt. Other than this exception, the musicians were great. However, there was only one cocktail waitress serving the entire club. This meant sitting at a table with leftover bottles and glasses from the previous occupants and going out the casino to get drinks from another bar to bring into the club. It was a packed house with no cover charge so one might think this lack of beverage service was a managerial faux pas. read more

Drink prices were the only thing I liked about this place. The music was eh, went on a Friday night, they played classic covers very mediocre-ly. The crowd was older (im 23) and there weren't very many, ended up leaving early, maybe it got better. Still looking for a good bar in Henderson :( read more

The review is based upon numerous experiences in Club Madrid when Yellow Brick Road is the band, The Sunset Station management is as much to blame as the band for continuing to think they are "all that". The Station Casino website for Sunset Station / Club Madrid states the doors open at 9:30 which they do, the site also states "show 10:00 PM" NEVER. Always they begin at least 10:35 until around 11 PM. when you pay a cover charge, no matter what the $ amount is....they should start ON TIME. Common courtesy used to be a priority of respect to one another....but, unfortunately like manners have sadly vacated this world. read more

We went and saw Mark Wills last night. He put on a fantastic concert along with his band. People taking cell phones out to take pictures and videos was no problem at all. There were many that found it very distracting having the employees of sunset station walking around telling people they can't take videos. They were a much greater distraction. read more
