Yesterday I booked myself an intro class at this location and wasn't sure what to expect. What I didn't expect was how this "free" class, wasn't actually free at all, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Let me break it down. The class is "free" but you need to pay a non-refundable $10 to secure your spot. I asked over the phone if I was confirming I was going to be there, why did I have to pay? Again, a formality. I also asked to pay on the day of, but was discouraged saying that if the class was booked up, they would need to reschedule my intro class. A verbal "yes, I will be there" is of no value here. So, $10 was charged to my credit card. I arrived, with my grip socks that I brought from the last time I went to Space Club with my son, but was told the grips weren't good enough, and had to buy socks there. $18 later, I had them for the "free" class which was now costing me $28 to be at. Oh, and the class wasn't booked up; maybe 6 spots remained empty. The space is clean, bright, and well maintained. There's cubes to store your stuff when you walk in as well as inside the studio. The instructor was nice, clear, and professional - had no issues with that. Again, what I wasn't a fan of was how immediately after the class, they pitch all their packages for you. As a new client, they would waive a registration fee of $149 (one time fee) if I signed up for $239/month for up to 8 classes. The $149 is a separate charge. Drop-in classes without a package are $45. They really try to get you to commit before you head out the door, but for me personally, I wouldn't ever be able to do 8 classes a month; I probably couldn't even do 4 classes. This might work out for others, but in terms of costs and frequency, it didn't make sense for me. read more

Club Pilates is the best! I have tried many different workouts and nothing compares to Pilates. It has changed my life. When I started I had not worked out for years. But now I feel great and stronger than I have in a long time. Unlike other workouts I look forward to going to the classes. All the instructors are great but for me Hala is the best. Her classes are always different with just the right amount of challenge. I always feel recharged afterwards. The front desk girls are great too! read more

I went to their Wednesday intro class. It was good, though it was difficult to hear the instructor at times but a solid 4-star pilates experience. I'm giving it less stars because of a few administrative issues. Their intro class is on a Wednesday. When you join Club Pilates they charge a $100 intake fee, plus approximately $300 per month for the unlimited monthly membership fees. However, if you join same day as your intro class you get the $100 fee waived. After the class I said I was unable to pay for sign up that day as Wednesday is not my payday, however I'll be back on Friday to sign up. On Friday I called to sign up and asked if they would waive the fee for me and they said no. Genesis, the manager: "Sorry. We can not waive the fee." Me: "So...... I explained on Wednesday that I'm ready to join immediately- I just had to wait until payday. I'm literally telling you I'm ready to sign up for a year, giving you $4,000 of my money a year if you waive the $100 fee?" Genesis: "Yes, I'm sorry." I can't with that none sense. It's just the dumbest lack of foresight for a business I've experienced in a long time. Make your intro classes on a Friday not a Wednesday if you want everyone to put their hands in their pockets to pay you $300/month. Or at least put the costs on your site. That way, If I had known it was that much I would have waited. Also to note: I would not have been able to use my unlimited membership for almost a week because no Reformer 1 classes are available- they are all waitlisted at this point. That would have been annoying and lowered the value of my $300/ month membership due to the lack of availability but eventually I'd have access to the gym. However, all of these factors combined make this an unfortunate "no" for me. I'm bummed. I really wanted to join. read more

Every Saturday morning, I lie on my reformer & think "I really need to write a review about how amazing JD is." Then I leave class & think "...but the more people who know how great her classes are, the harder it will be for me, an OG, to get into them" (iykyk about the wait lists). Alas, god didn't put us here to not give people their flowers, so against my better judgement, I'm putting you all on. Vicky is an angel & consistently in tune with what the collective body of the room needs. Khalil is a perfect mix of Joseph-Pilates-Pilates & creative stuff. I love a focus on form (Megan is always on this too - her instructions are very clear & have a lot of points to check yourself on to make sure you're doing it properly & the body parts that are feeling it are the ones that should be, which sounds basic but def isn't. It makes you not phone it in, which can turn a 1 on paper into a 1.5 on your body) but he definitely keeps it spicy lol you can tell he has fun on his own time messing around on the reformer. Some instructors try to have you do crazy stuff & you're like "did you try this? did your horoscope tell you to do this? What is the ring adding here other than bulk?" but he has you do crazy stuff & that's how you learn that you have weird little muscles in your rotor cuff that you've been neglecting your whole life, thereby saving yourself from having messed up shoulders in 5 years. Jessi is beyond thorough - between a pre-class rundown of what she calls the equipment parts to walking the room nonstop to make sure everyone's got the right springs on - and gives a lot of context for the "why" of a lot of the movements we're doing & even what they're countering in our everyday lives. The nerd in me loves it. Plus the chair, my favorite, comes out with her a lot. Sue's Tuesday class is a little beautifully consistent & positive piece of my week. We all know the saying about wishing in one hand yeah? This doesn't stop me from wishing Nicole was back all the time. Oh & the front desk staff is still great. (I just need like...a foot more wall space on that springboard side.) read more

Club Pilates is amazing!! Fabulous instructors with an amazing front desk team. My go-to instructors are JD and Vicky on the weekends and Crystal, Megan and Hala during the week. They offer such diverse and challenging classes and provide clear instruction and helpful suggestions on form. I love going to Club Pilates and it is my happy place. The front desk:management team of Jarrod, Genesis, Aline, Nina and Victoria are so friendly and helpful and they make the studio such a welcoming and hospitable place to work out. I. Am. Obsessed. This place is not just your average exercise franchise. The staff is so amazing and accommodating. They know everyone by name and really care. The classes are small, they almost feel private. The teachers are amazing - all different and enough equipment that no two classes have ever been the same! (Trust me, I have taken over 80!). This Club Pilates is so nice and clean and everyone is so friendly and welcoming! The people working behind the desk are so professional and helpful, and the instructors are just amazing! Overbooked a class I signed up for a week ago & when I got there they refused to let me in. Just Do better in the future.

I called this gym to try an intro class. They were very nice to allow me and my friend to try the class. It's been 4 days since I have taken this class. While considering a membership or purchasing classes I have been berated with texts, phone calls and extensive voicemails. I've never been harassed by a gym trying to sell a membership like this. The class was great. The instructor was awesome. However I suggest this gym discuss their policy on how many sales/pitch phone calls the receptionist can make. I clearly told her I was busy that's why this intro class was the only one I could try....I had to block their number. read more

Club Pilates is a beautiful facility but unfortunately their classes are always booked. They only have 12 reformers and it's nearly impossible to sign up for a class that you like or one that works for your schedule. It's quite frustrating!! They require you to commit for three months. read more

Club Pilates is amazing and so is this location! The staff, instructors, studio and vibe are all incredible! There are a variety of classes to really meet you where you are at. I've been coming to CP Bay Ridge since it opened a couple of years ago. As a newcomer to pilates / reformer I immediately fell in love with this form of exercise, in large part to this studio and the lovely instructors that teach there. This is one of the only forms of exercise that I've found I can do consistently, week after week, and it's a pleasure to come into a studio that is clean, well kept, and well managed. The management staff are super flexible and friendly, and have never failed to work with me on scheduling and help with my membership. Love this place :) read more

Amazing place and awesome staff! I have been taking private pilates for years and after taking a year long break during the pandemic, this was my first try of group pilates class at Club Pilates in Bay Ridge. The staff were extremely friendly and the instructor (Milla, 4:30pm class on Nov 1st) was just great! She was very helpful and understanding even though this was a group and there were many of us. Everyone is also very fun to be around and the studio is extremely clean! I will definitely be joining as many classes as I can! read more

I joined Club Pilates a little over a month ago and am so pleased. The facility is very clean, there is appropriate spacing so I don't feel uncomfortable during these Covid times with people on top of one another, and the workouts have been fantastic. I already see a difference in my arms and thighs (much slimmer!). Definitely recommend for someone who is looking for low-impact workouts that make a difference. read more

If you're looking for a good workout, Club Pilates is the place to be. I was never the type to be interested in working out, but Pilates has really changed that for me. The instructors here are awesome. They work your a** off which is great if you need that push to better yourself. Every instructor has their own way of teaching, which I think is great. I have learned more about what my body is capable of and I could not have picked a better place to do so. The overall environment is positive, clean, welcoming and fun. They have various classes pending one's physical ability and interests, such as sculpting classes and stretching based classes.
