Two weeks ago, I made the decision to join this studio after considering other options in the area and mulling over my commitment to regular workouts. Despite never having engaged in any form of exercise in my 30 years of life, the moment I stepped into this studio, I immediately knew I had made the right choice. Molly, who assisted me in setting up my member account T and 3-class trial subscription, was an absolute angel. She explained all the policies, classes and all the must knows of the studio. Walking in, I felt very intimidated, as I had zero knowledge about Pilates or studio customs. However, she reassured me beyond measure. When I left, I felt an incredible sense of calm and joy and this feeling of: oh my gosh, I'm really doing this. I attended my first class the following day, and then another, and another, and another... I have been there every single day since joining, with the exception of one snow day. After my trial ended, I decided to sign up for their unlimited monthly membership, allowing me to participate in daily classes, whether beginner Pilates, Pilates Barre, or even intermediate sessions when I felt up for the challenge. Their instructors are truly praiseworthy. They are incredibly kind and humble, taking care of each student in the class. You feel like you're the only person there, although in reality, it's a class of 8. They move around, offering encouragement to keep pushing forward, correcting posture or form as needed, and acknowledging when you're executing a move perfectly. They also encourage taking breaks when your body is asking for one, your comfort always comes first. They function as a blend of therapists and fitness instructors. Never in a million years did I think I could enjoy Pilates, let alone love it. I eagerly anticipate every single class and even manage to arrive early, which is a departure from my perpetual lateness in other aspects of my life... except when it comes to Pilates. This studio is different. The instructors here are truly remarkable and are genuinely changing lives. I've had classes with Jodie, Charisse, Iona, and Alena, and each one brings their own incredible approach to teaching. Their diverse styles make the experience both intriguing and stimulating for both the mind and body. Despite it only being a few weeks, I already feel stronger both physically and mentally. Having this safe and comfortable space is incredibly therapeutic. If you've ever had even the slightest interest in joining a fitness studio, you must give this place a try. I have been coming to this Pilates studio since November and I absolutely love it here. There are many different types of classes to take now that they expanded their space. I highly recommend the reformer, springboard, mat, and barre & Pilates classes. I have taken classes with Scarlett, Nikki, Jodie, Audrey, Dani, Ilona, and Emily so far. They are all great instructors, skilled at teaching, friendly, and encouraging, whether you are a newbie or an experienced pro. I am so happy Pilates Loft opened up in our area. I appreciate that Pilates Loft offers a range of classes, including beginner sessions to accommodate people like me, a still-active Baby Boomer who is interested in strengthening her back and core, especially after sitting at a desk all day. I have visited other pilates studios before but Pilates Loft is better. The equipment is state-of-the-art and the instructors are patient and helpful. The studio is immaculate and welcoming, and I like that it's a small business and not part of a chain. Pilates Loft has recently expanded its studio to incorporate more classes from reformer to barre to classical mat pilates. I'm really happy that I switched studios because I find the class sizes allow the instructor to pay attention to form and technique. I have learned a lot and feel that my strength has increased.
