When I joined this club, I was just getting back into working out and jumping into a hard core Pilates class would have been too much for me. I like the fact that they have a Center Balance class that focuses on stretching with a light workout added throughout. This has helped me to translation back into working out again. I've had a great experience at club Pilates I came here for like 6 months two years ago and I'm back again, i'm so happy. I really enjoy the classes here they have great instructors. I was one of the earliest members of CP in SPas and Pasadena, so I've got to give love. I'm now a Pilates addict and with my membership I get to go to any studio in LA. After a few months away I came back to see my OG Jonelle who kicked my ass this week in the most wonderful way. She never disappoints. If you can get into any of her classes (which is a challenge unto itself) you're in for a fun and amazing ride. I've got my awesome gals in the Marina, but seeing Jonelle this week felt like coming home. She brings 110% of herself to every single class. Her vibe is infectious, her music rocks, her classes are challenging and her investment in each and every person in that room is incredible. And let me say she knows her craft and never disappoints. A 1.5 flow class followed by center & balance was the perfect way to end a very hard week. I know firsthand that CP has some amazing instructors but seriously, they need to clone her. My friend and i came for a free intro to pilates class and it was amazing. the entire staff was so welcoming, kind, and encouraging and the space was well kept & very clean. the class itself was great. the instructor, ronie, did a great job of explaining everything and was great at helping others correct their form and etc. overall great experience and totally will take another class sometime soon! read more

I took an intro class in early May (Octavio was great) and decided to join as an unlimited member on Memorial Day over the phone. Make sure to go over the contract for your membership level so there are no surprises- number of bookings, cancellations, tardiness, etc.! I was pleasantly surprised to learn from their GM that unlimited members at Pasadena CP have access to the South Pasadena location as well. Buyer beware. This place is run by the rudest ableist people I have ever encountered. I never even got to use their services as I was fat shamed and insulted by their front of house workers. Very odd experience. I attended one class via a gym app membership (took forever to get in since they are always full) and told the front desk it was my first time doing Pilates. The instructor never introduced herself or gave any instruction, so I was essentially just watching others the entire time to see what to do. I have had the pleasure of attending Club Pilates across the United States. And this is the most unfriendly unwelcoming rudest location. I decided to attend an intro class to get to know this particular studio and several of us were a few minutes late. The area is very crowded on the weekends and it was hard to locate if you park on the wrong side. Instead of saying hey welcome, we've already started but i'd love to show you around and answer questions, she said um we start on time you'll have to rebook. Hi Again - Updating my review. I have been going for three months now and am still happy with the studio and instructors. It's a small studio so it's hard to get two classes a week which is my goal (and plan). But you can now go to the S. Pas studio too. It seems like Saturday and Sunday until 2 might be a good idea. When my former Pilates studio (20 years) lost the trainer I had and did not replace her, I was desperate., My former studio was primarily for physical therapy for handicapped, so I understand why they didn't replace my trainer when she got a full time job closer to her home in Hollywood. I visited another Pilates studio in Pasadena but they didn't offer private trainer sessions. At age 75, private sessions are really helpful to me! Also, parking is easy ! I love Club Pilates and especially instructor, Claire! She makes every workout interesting, challenging and rewarding. I first started there in late February and have consistently gone 3x a week! This has been the only exercise I've liked and stuck with in all my life. I would totally recommend it! The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is they only schedule classes quarterly and when it's nearing the end of the quarter, they don't post the new schedule until just a couple of weeks out. Looked into other Pilates classes but felt Club Pilates was a good fit for me. The staff and instructors are all so friendly. They're very informative and so patient/heloful. You can easily navigate scheduling the classes and if you're having trouble they are so understanding and helpful. Unprofessional and unacceptable. I was told it would take a month to cancel my membership. Fine. It has been two months, and I am still getting charged for classes and a membership I cancelled. I have called, emailed, and texted, and have not received a refund. Negligent at best with your payment information and membership status. I highly recommend taking classes with Tere my favorite instructor for this location, she really takes the time to make reformer 1 classes worth it by changing the workouts every week compared to other instructors . She always helps with correcting my form/ workout movement if I'm doing it incorrectly, really appreciate her patience! I definitely feel I'm not wasting any time with teres classes and really hope she can do more classes around 6:30 or 7:30 pm due to my work schedule. I signed up for an intro class and JOYCE (the instructor) was very rude to me and singled me out "Leslie you're holding up the class" because I didn't understand a position and instead of helping me she called me out. That was not okay. I almost walked out. She was nice to everyone else but to me she was so rude. This is teaching class I'm supposed to be learning and making mistakes not being called out on it. Never again. Also you need to be more visual instead of just saying what we do next this was very confusing as a first timer. read more

Would be nice to get full class credit back when there is sub for a class client signed up for and client does not wish to take class with sub. I understand emergencies happen and sometimes an instructor cannot make it, however since we're paying for the classes clients should be given the choice to either take the class with the sub or get a full class credit. Classes get full fast and it's hard to schedule with the instructors I like, therefore it is disappointing to get a sub I don't like and don't wish to take the class with. I personally have a preference with whom I like to schedule my classes and who I don't. Other than that studio is ok. I enjoy classes with Veronica, Octavio, Isabella, and Karen. They are engaging and give clear instructions that are easy to follow. read more

I have joined the membership since Feb 2023 and I have taken over 300 classes. The studio and equipment are clean and new. However, I hope they will clean the floors more frequently. Too many negatives to continue at this Club Pilates on Foothill in Pasadena. A few very good instructors but they quickly get booked every month in advance by those with unlimited memberships. Revolving door of "new instructors" many very poorly or minimally trained, with no "client" skills to coach or interact positively with class members. You learn by watching others in class, not with the coaching help of most all the instructions. Many rules and time restrictions about booking monthly classes. Great equipment, clean facility, easy parking very polite front desk staff who try to be helpful. Easy app to use for booking and cancellations, but way too much time required to monitor last min. cancellations for best instructors and get into their classes. read more

I have been going to the location on Foothill in Pasadena for over a year and a half, I love Terre and Joyce classes, I sweat in them. I also have to commend the studio for having Madi the front desk person. She did her best to accommodate my request. She actually exceeded my expectations. They did have a rude person at the front when I started and kept seeing her during the first year I worked out but I don't see her anymore, maybe because I changed my hours of workout. It's a scam. There is always a waitlist and they'll tell you that you can get it but you can't. If you don't book weeks in advance you are essentially paying for a service they don't provide. They will manipulate you into an initial 3 month contract after your first free session so beware. Even if you follow them they will make up rules along the way that are not in the contract. All the staff have different membership rules. There is no wiggle room if you come across financial hardships. This place feels like a full on SCAM. Go support a small Pilates business over this franchise. At club Pilates you do not get what you pay for. You get less and pay RIDICULOUS amounts. The only person who has shown amazing service is Ricky. The gm is so rude and condescending, she will throw ridiculous amounts of money at you to confuse you. I started doing Pilates 5 years ago but with different studio which was located inconveniently far from my home , so when Club Pilates opened its doors I started to take classes there as well. In the beginning it was once per week and after couple of months I moved to unlimited as I loved instructors and location. I wish I could take some classes after work like Fit or Cardio sculpt that offered only in the morning and with my schedule I miss on them. We finally have 2.0 classes that make classes more challenging and fun but I wish we had more options in this location. read more
