I took their 60-minute HOT Stretch class - space element with Julie and it was soooooo good. I always feel like I get such a good stretch when in a warmed room and this class did not disappoint. It wasn't a super demanding class, most of the poses were seated and laying down although we did do some standing poses towards the end of class. I brought my own towel and a towel for my mat as well. I don't know if they provide towels, but if they do they weren't visibly displayed. Excited to come back here!

There are storage caddies to place your personal belongings into; 8 reformers; water filter system; and grip socks/items for sell near another door entrance. The restroom is in the same building, but outside of the studio. You need the key to get inside of the restroom. Ask the instructor for the key. The instructor, Anna, was super helpful and nice. She made sure my movements and postures were correct, which is exactly what I needed for an effective workout. I felt energized and good after the workout, so I look forward to coming back again.

I usually have to wipe down my space before I put my mat down because there is hair/dirt. Second, I think there is black mold and definitely rust all over the white beams and speakers. The vents on the ceiling are also covered in dust. Another thing is they used to clean your weights for you, which was helpful because after every class there is a huge line you have to wait in to clean your weights which can be annoying. Overall I think that if you're paying the hefty $140 a month you should be able to workout in a clean studio with clean air and not have to do your own cleaning. I have a recurring ankle injury from trail running that I've been (unsuccessfully) self-rehabbing, and I've learned so much from my first few weeks of classes about my own body and why I keep hurting myself, and I'm excited to see how the running goes this summer. With my limited experience with friends who did Pilates I was picturing a froofy, "trendy-fitness" type of experience, but this is not at all what this studio is about. The staff here is focused on body mechanics and balance, and I feel great every time I leave after a session. After years of yoga and barre, I…read moredon't consider myself particularly "unfit" but man, Olivia kicked my butt in reformer this morning. Those pulsing lunges, the inner thigh work... I am dying. Dying! But dying in a good way. Like, I can't wait to start seeing the results like, 'hello, miss new booty'. Pilates is damn expensive in general - like $25 -$30 for a drop in class expensive. But Core Body is so confident you'll like it that they give you your first week free, then a new student special of $99 for the first month of unlimited classes. The only reason I'm doing 4 starts instead of 5 is that, being new to reformer Pilates, I would appreciate a bit more instruction on how to use the machines and (eh hem) modify, because like I said earlier, it is effing difficult when you're just starting out.
