The moment we walked up, the hosts have been trying to convince us to get a dance floor table when I booked a riser. I've never been treated this way after booking a table.. I feel like cattle. I came to this club after Ultra Miami day 2 to see RL Grime & had a horrible experience. When we got there, I was already pretty tired so I sat on this common seating area inside the venue after going through security and all that. My friends were up but I was exhausted so I decided to vibe sitting down. After 10-15mins, I heard someone say "come sit" & felt a white girl shove me off my seat. I turned around & she started yelling "we were here first!" I had already been sitting here for awhile so I was like ??? I told her I had been sitting there and she proceeded to start screaming in my face and I shouted back that there was no need to shove. We were all fine until she wanted to have her bf sit? I don't think she expected me to stand up for myself so she got angrier and threatened to beat me up. My friend tried to diffuse the situation by saying we could just share the spot and I didn't want to deal with her anymore so I turned around to my friends, which pissed her off more. She got up and tried to hit me and HER FRIENDS (who, according to my bf, made eye contact with him and looked so embarrassed) had to hold her back. Because her friends had drinks, some spilled on her. She ran to get security, came back & pointed at me said I spilled a drink on her when I clearly had no drink & neither did my friends. None of us bought drinks, we literally just got there from a music festival. Her and her friends didn't looked like they were at Ultra so I'm assuming they were locals who came to this club often. Anyways. The security came and pulled me out. I gave him the whole rundown but it seemed like whatever I said flew past his head. He kept mentioning the drink and I'm like??? What drink?? And then at the end of everything he said "ok just try to enjoy your time." Like are you listening? Whatever. Couple of my friends (who had went with me and security) & I walk back into the main venue area and her friend comes up to me and starts threatening me saying "I'll beat you the fuck up bitch" and starts going off on me so I run back to get security. He comes back with me and she tries to dodge and when we walk up to her she's like "I don't know what she's talking about I wasn't there for the situation." So how did you know there was a situation? Then her shorter friend (the main girl who shoved me) comes up yelling at me and trying to get in my face again (kinda funny when shes short but anyways). She shoved and spat on me so I yanked her hair and then it got physical. The tall girl decides to tell another (different) security guy that I started everything and my one guy friend stepped up and said "that's not what happened" and security decided to man handle him and shove him out the venue. I think this was so unprofessionally handled. My entire group was Asian by the way so to some extent it felt racially motivated by the white friend group & the staff who seemed to cater to them without actually viewing the situation for what it was. Like why are you constantly repeating for me to try and enjoy my time when I'm trying to tell my side of the story? And then the audacity for you to grab my friend and throw him out when all he did was speak for me and say that that wasn't what happened. Anyways, I didn't get a pic of the girls or their friends but below is proof I was there. Also security was so chill, especially for females, like they asked if I had a bag under my coat, I said no (I didn't) and they just let me through. Honestly I wished I had pepper spray on me for this whole situation. But, on the flip side, what if they had something dangerous? From the way they were acting I have no doubt they would use it. This place is a little overpriced with the $120 cover but once you get inside it makes sense. The place is literal sensory overload. There's two floors and multiple rooms with great EDM music. I've never been to a club this intense and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved how they brought out dancers and the house DJ was pretty good. The lighting was also high quality. Literally every person we spoke to while visiting Miami told us that we NEEDED to check out Space. We were told it was mid-range as far as clubs go, but that the music would be popping, and the clientele would be hype. We arrived around 2:00AM, and the line went quickly, with the bouncers being super friendly....however while we did get through security, we didn't actually make it into the club. Apparently it's a standard fee for Miami clubs, but NO club is worth $100 just to get inside when you're already paying for up charged liquor. I never leave Yelp reviews, BUT I will leave one for SPACE! I've had the most epic nights at this beautiful and unique place. The vibe is like no other in my opinion. The Terrace is absolute magic, and the DJ's that play there are second to none! Most recently I've seen some of my favorites: Nicole Moudaber, Victor Calderone, Amelie Lens, Hot Since 82, Marco Carola, and so many more. This nightclub completely ruined my Miami first time club experience. It's an insult to clubs to even call this place a "club", they set the bar at sea level, literally. It was $60 a person for "ground floor" ticket entry after waiting in line for 1.5 hours. Upon entering, it looks like an old basement with a few five below quality lights and a nasty smell. There are no strobe lights or anything exciting going on. By all means, this is nothing close to any kind of luxury Miami nightclub. It's completely ominous with a bunch of weird clientele lurking around in the darkness. After experiencing the ground floor vibe I asked the manager to upgrade trying to salvage the night of disappointment, but was told I would have to re-buy the tickets for $150 a person to go upstairs. They would not honor the $120 already paid to hangout in the dungeon room for 10 minutes to buy my $70 2 drink purchase. This place is so overrated. Who would want to ever get bottle service here?? I have never been to a worse club in my entire life. I would have had more fun going to the wine down hour in my hotel. Save your money this place is a joke. read more

Oh man, how the hell do I even describe Space? I literally love and hate this club at the same time. This place is a total train wreck, yet it's a train wreck that you can't help but keep going back to. I guess I'll just start with the layout of the club, and it is not glamorous at all. Don't expect the trappings of a Vegas club, Space is purely substance over style. You have the Terrace, where all the main acts are. The Loft is the room right behind the Terrace, which are used for the secondary acts. And then there's the Ground Floor, which...honestly, I don't know what the Ground Floor is used for outside of Miami Music Week. Bottom line, it's packed up the ASS at night time to the point that you wonder why you're even in the Terrace, and WAAAAAY more bearable to deal with during day time. Definitely bring some earplugs, the sound system in here is not to be messed with. Alright, now that I've set up the place, on to the general premise of the club. If you love techno or tech house, chances are you will find your favorite DJ spin here at some point. Space attracts all the major DJs, and it's completely on steroids during Miami Music Week. Over the course of a week (thank you All-Access Pass!), I managed to see the following: Enrico Sangiuliano and Victor Calderone (at 3:30 am Thurs morning), Adam Beyer (at 9 am Thurs morning), ANNA (at 10 am Thurs morning), Alan Fitzpatrick (at 6 am Fri morning), and Tale of Us b2b Maceo Plex (at 1 pm Sunday afternoon). Let's just say this...I don't think I've ever went back to my hotel a 5 am, took a 2 hour "nap," woke up at 8 am and hit the club at 9 am before because THE SET TIMES ARE FKN RIDICULOUS AT SPACE with Adam Beyer playing from 7 am to 10 am Thursday morning, or Tale of Us b2b Maceo Plex not even starting until 11 am Sunday morning. Thankful for the All-Access Pass, which let me control my destiny and basically come in and out at will. Cuz I sure as hell would've been pissed to buy a before 3 am ticket or an anytime ticket, then have to wait THAT LONG to see who I really came to see. P.S. STORY TIME FOR ANYONE WHO BOTHERED TO GET THIS FAR. Alright so when we get to Space at Friday morning at 5:30 am (you kinda lose track of time at Space when it never closes), I'm trying to understand why no one can get in. And then I see this unconscious dude sitting back up on the building, blocking the entrance way. At the same time, to my right this guy is getting choked out from behind and arrested because he hit one of the security guys. Anyways, it took about 5-10 minutes for an ambulance to wade its way through all the cars in front of Space to load the guy up...and everyone is happy because they can finally get in. Stay at Space for 30 min, leave and we see another guy getting loaded into an ambulance. And then of course, when I walk down the street and pass E11VEN...yep, that's right, a THIRD ambulance is seen. If you're keeping track, that's three ambulances and one arrest in a 30 minute span. Quite honestly, I have no idea how Space (1) even exists and (2) is still open. GOD BLESS SPACE LOL. read more

This club is my favorite club in the world that I've been to so far. Club Space is a visceral experience, it's an entirely new dimension of sound and visual stimulation. The sound system is incredible, the lights are perfect, the local crowd is so friendly. The drinks are pricey so know that coming, but mimosas at the sunrise are definitely worth it, so are the espresso martinis. This place just has a unique vibe compared to all other clubs I've been to, it's such giving energy that I cannot wait to come back to Miami and experience it all over again. To each their own - $100pp cover -so dark you can't see anything -did not feel safe as a woman here (followed around by a man for 20 minutes) -performers do not dance or perform, they "vogue" while naked on stage -incredibly hostile security (saw three separate people unnecessarily yelled at to "MOVE DOWN" like y'all know you can just ask not scream right?) -very clearly a drug centric club - multiple people using or asking for it -drinks were okay, prices were okay -got told to leave my flip flops at the front door after being inside for an hour. I just left because the bouncer had an attitude and the policy is that you can't WEAR flip flops not that you can't have them at all. Shows a clear mismanagement of the club when the staff isn't even on the same page about the rules. Overall pretty disappointing IMO. Not sure how they still have such a great reputation but hopefully people will start reading these reviews and letting other people know what they're getting into before wasting their money here. Don't really ever feel the need to review like this but damn y'all really need to get it together here! So much wasted potential! read more

This club is an absolute destination. My (new) husband and I spent 3 days of our honeymoon seeing some of our favorite artists at Club Space and really enjoyed the atmosphere once we were inside. The -2 stars come from the experience getting in / waiting in line. It's absolute CHAOS after a certain time. The club is almost open 24 hours (it seems to close sometime in the afternoon and open around 10pm), so the "hot time" to arrive seems to be between 3-5am. During this time, there is no line for tickets, just people shoving each other to show QR codes on their phone to the bouncers. The bouncers are ruthless here, telling me one day that my bag is fine and the next that the same bag is "too large." They also occassionally sell tickets "before X time entry" and then intentionally open the club later, so you will buy tickets for what you think is a reduced rate, but have to actually pay an additional $50 at the door. While the atmosphere is worth it, the challenge and gripes of getting in are definitley discouraging. read more

Venue was spacious; people were dancing. It felt like a classy and refined rave. Came here on Saturday to see my favorite DJ, MARKUS SCHULZ, do his WMC MARATHON SET in the Main Room. Nice loud speakers. Good treble and bass. The bar experience was strange. Drinks were $7 a pop. Fine. Paid with credit card. The bartender had me sign two sets of paper. One for the credit card transaction and another carbon set. Strange. Dancing at Space was awesome. It was hot and sweaty so occasionally we were treated with cold blasts of air. Thank you. What hasn't been said about Club Space? Perhaps a recent rave anthem "Eat Sleep Rave Repeat" provides some insight... My frequent home during my late 20s and early 30s, I still come through in my late 30s when one of my favorite acts (Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buren or Thomas Gold) DJ's here. The acoustics are awesome - you are enveloped with great house beats where ever you go. The light show is surreal and well produced. The decor is a funky mix of New York subway gate, warehouse and hunting lodge (yes one of the bars had a deer head!) Don't forget to take a picture by the astronaut statue at the main entrance. Did I mention how a lot of big name house and trance DJ's perform there? My only complaint - like most folks - would have to be drinks. Ratio of price to alcohol content and quality could stand to be improved. Will I keep going to Space even when I have gray hair and dancing with a cane? Hell to the yes! read more

I should start paying rent at Space whenever I'm in Miami because there have been instances where I've stayed here longer than my hotel room. After several visits, Space has a special place in my heart and I've learned to appreciate the quality of the music that the DJs bring here. In terms of their sets, DJs always cater to the venue and crowd that they're in, but at Space -- it's real, it's raw, and it's their own personal sound (not the Top 40s stuff that everybody and their mamas know about). Space isn't a place to "see and be seen". You can dress however you want (I literally wore sweatpants one night) and there's absolutely no judgment -- everybody is solely there for the music, the atmosphere, and the positive energy. The party can literally go on for 24 hours. I've stayed until the sunrise (no shame) and the party is still going strong. I highly recommend purchasing tickets for an event beforehand via Wantickets (and paying the difference in price if you decide to show up after 2AM). If you decide to make a spur of the moment decision, the entrance can be $100ish. read more

My friends and I came down from New York for the end of the year parties, we got the Space Pass but I only went like three of the days the line was so long most days and they had you waiting to get in because it was so full in there. By the end of the night/morning i was ready to leave and go back to my hotel but my friends stayed and i walked out already stressed because i lost my wallet and my phone was on 1% and died on me while i was trying to order my uber and no one at the front of the club had a charger or was too busy to help me and telling me to step out to not block the entry. Then the girl with the red hair and bunch of tattoos , i forgot her name but she was so sweet she was scanning the tickets and saw me and asked me if i was ok if i needed help clearly seeing me on the verge of tears and i told her my situation and she then proceeded to order me a Lyft from her phone and her account so that i could get back to my hotel. I wanted to get her zelle or cashapp to pay her back but she insisted that it was okay to not worry about it and just get home safe. Space is my favorite club in miami and i live here. I KNOW that you always have to be careful with your phone at the club but this past year specifically as of recently the pick pocketing has become UNREAL! I am always careful with my phone and I know my surroundings I've been to space 1000 times but my phone has gotten stolen out of my locked purse 3 times in the past 2 months. I know so many of my friends too that have gotten their phone stolen as of recently too. I just can't believe people go in there to steal our phones. By far one of the WORST clubs I have been to in Miami. Let's start with how they Jack up the prices but it literally says on the website $20 till 12am, and when we went to purchase tickets at the booth they racked up the prices to $40. While at mentioning to the ticket guy that it says $20 till midnight he was very rude and says "we'll you don't have to come in to the club I don't care." And I was just stating what the website says clearly. Also they are very homophobic. My friend was verbally assaulted and bouncers sat there and did nothing. Didn't de escalate the situation. Didn't remove the aggressor. And don't get me started on the very small drinks at 22$ and they don't offer free water and while at you cannot just purchase a water it has to be a $20 minimum. Last night all my friends decided to go to the event at space and I don't know what I was thinking but I decided to join them. I ran out after 30min. And I can only remember every other time in my life i was there, I never liked the place. The staff is rude, the drinks are ridiculously expensive, the sound system is really bad (my speaker at home does better), the crowd is always the best Of all weirdos. Just totally not my cup of tea. And the VIP is a total joke, it looks a little better now it is redone. I am a total lover of Floyd (previous Libertine) which is a part at the bottom floor of space, a separate venue with a connecting door. I went when Chris lake was playing which was pretty lit and got in free so maybe that's just my experience. We came all this way from California and bought our tickets to attend a DJ set only to be turned away because we were not wearing heels. They were literally letting people in with dirty sneakers and barely any clothing in which made no sense to me because we were wearing fashionable slippers. Not every girl wants to be uncomfortable on a night out. The bouncer with dreads, glasses, and grill was so sassy and rude about it when I asked why they are letting people in with dirty sneakers but I could not wear my Gucci slippers in there. They said it was a "safety" issue but there were people going in there with high heels and barely any clothing. Extremely disappointed in the service and how that sassy bouncer handled the situation.
