This is my second time, here at Cluck and Cone my first visit with my youngest son !. He has been begging me to come back ever since ! He loved the chicken!! I promised him I would take him on Monday which I did with my oldest son, and it did not disappoint. My oldest son loved it as well. Sarah helped us with our order and Emma was preparing the food. They were super nice and attentive! This establishment is very clean the bathrooms are super clean also . The food is very delicious. I got the bowl since I didn't wanna do a cone this time, trying to watch my diet lol ! My son got the kids cone which he loved. I did the aloha OG bowl. Our very first visit to Cluck n Cone leaned on 3 stars for me but their efforts to make it up to us are the reason for my 4 star review. It's nearly a 45 minute drive for us so I don't know if we would come out of our way to hurry back soon but we appreciated their apologies and efforts to rectify our situation. We came in 10 minutes after they opened and there was another party waiting for their order. I didn't think it would take that long since they just opened and they were probably already working on the other table's orders, so we decided to dine in before heading home for my son's nap. Fast forward 25 minutes, the other table got their order and I saw that part of ours was ready. I asked to have whatever was ready because our son was getting antsy. They apologized for the wait and said they were having issues with the waffle maker and mac and cheese wasn't ready (but there was mac and cheese in my husband's order so I'm not sure why they just didn't make both at once?). Anyway, while we waited I tried my husband's BBQ Dream cone and shared the curly fries with my son. The chicken was tender and the waffle itself was good with a hint of sweetness, you can tell it was made in house. Fast forward another 10 minutes, another person who ordered after me had gotten his order and even finished eating it, ha. Just my luck that the one order for me, the 9 month pregnant lady, was the only one not ready! The owner (I assume she's the owner) apologized again to us and said she would send us home with something. I wasn't sure what that meant but she did give us a card for a free cone next time. She brought out a bowl of mac and cheese because I guess that was the only thing that was ready so that's what I had to eat for lunch. I wanted to just cancel my order because we needed to get home but she said they would pack it to go for us. In the end, I did get my Mac and Cheese cone to go, after finishing my bowl of mac and cheese and waiting another 15 minutes (50 minutes after we ordered if anyone's keeping track). The guy who brought it out wrapped it up nicely in plastic wrap and also apologized to us. When I opened up my Mac and Cheese cone at home I realized it was all mixed up. This one had onion strings, which was supposed to be on the bbq cone we ate in store. This also should have had shredded cheese but that was on the bbq cone too. I was thinking maybe I mixed them up but the one we ate in store did have bbq sauce and the pickles, so the ingredients were just all mixed up on both.. Not the best experience but I was glad they recognized their shortcomings and apologized many times. I know they recently opened within the last couple months so I totally get they're working things out. There wasn't a long line of orders so I think they just need a better system to get their cones out efficiently and/or multitask on multiple cones at once if they have similar ingredients. I would also recommend they revamp their menu since it's a bit small to read and could benefit from color or photos to stand out. We were feeling like popcorn chicken and decided to order from here. We ordered through door dash. I cot the Mac n cheese cone. Came wrapped in cup. There was about 6 pieces of chicken along with the Mac n cheese in the waffle cone. Sauce was in a side container. Reminds me of chicken and waffles. Nice comfort food. Saw this place on a local Foodies board and it did not disappoint. We had to get off the hill and away from the snow before a medical procedure tomorrow, so this was our opportunity. Called in for pick-up order to eat at our hotel. Very friendly on the phone and in person. :) We ordered the Aloha OG (fried) and a Maple Bacon Sweetie with Gunther's ice cream and fried chicken. The maple bacon one was my absolute favorite. The chicken was juicy and flavorful on both, I just really loved the maple lol. Very cute establishment, super friendly folks, very clean (and pup friendly!) . I'd actually considered getting it Door Dashed as I despise driving around Roseville at night but I was also nervous about how it would be delivered. But no worries about that. They packed them in large cups that held them perfectly. Lids can be taped down to help with tamper-proofing if that's a concern for you, so order away! Everything was outstanding. Ok I might sound kind of dramatic saying this but literally I'd die for Cluck n Cone. It's my new favorite place to eat for numerous reasons. 1. The grilled chicken is to die. Juicy and flavorful! I learned the chicken is brined for 16 hours. I only know this because I get the grilled chicken every time and I asked "omg what makes this so juicy," and that's when I was told! (I have yet to try the fried chicken but I hear that is delicious too, but I can't stop eating the grilled chicken). 2. The millionaires bacon...also to die. Once again I needed to know the secret. Smoked for over 5 hours daily. I don't even like bacon and theirs is like CANDY. 3. They make the waffle cones fresh daily. I love that they're not too sweet. They compliment the chicken well. 4. I often go by myself but will eat there a lot of the time because the staff is so nice I often end up chatting with them while I eat. I feel the environment is fun and welcoming! 5. Lauren, the owner, is just the best and truly encompasses the spirit of a "small business." Personable, open, excited to make good food, is at the business 6 days a week, and always asks for customers thoughts on the food. BEST CHICKEN EVER! Seriously the chicken is juicy and crunchy. I cannot believe I've found the perfect fried chicken spot in the corner of a random plaza of Roseville. Everything has a hint of maple syrup flavor so it's sweet but savoury at the same time. The answer to the riddle is a "waffle cone," which is a delicious and unique way to enjoy chicken in a HUGE cone made of waffle batter, with lots of maple syrup flavor. You'll find this fine and unique cuisine at Cluck N Cone, located in Roseville, CA. As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the long counter, the menu board, and the open kitchen, where you can watch the friendly staff prepare your meal. The dining room is quite compact and shares space with the large counter and kitchen, with all furniture being tables and chairs. It's sparsely decorated, but tasteful, and spotlessly clean, and the dining is very comfortable. It's December the 8th, and it's getting close to Christmas, so the dining room was decorated for the season, and Christmas music was being played in the background. The menu is very compact and specializes in "waffle cones" but offers sides, combos and other choices. There are many additional options not listed on the menu, so if there's something you don't see, simply ask the friendly staff. But one thing on the menu in common: Chicken. You make your selection from the menu, pay for it, and give the staff member your name, and when your order is ready, you pick it up at the "pick-up" station, a little bit to the left. At the top of the menu, I went with "Aloha OG," along with a medium side of "Waffle Fries." How can you enjoy a "waffle cone" without a side of fries? The menu gives you the choice between "waffle" or "curly" fries, and I went with the "waffle" variety. The menu describes the "Aloha OG," as, "Cone, color cabbage, waffle fried chicken, diced sauteed pineapple, Sweet Baby Ray's teriyaki sauce, black and white sesame seed, sliced green onions and crispy shallots." You get to choose between deep fried or grilled chicken, and went the "healthy" route and chose to have my chicken nuggets deep fried. How could I resist deep fry? It goes without saying that Cluck N Cone uses only premium, fresh ingredients for their delicious cones and everything else listed on the menu, along with all veggies and condiments. All "waffle cones," which is the specialty of the restaurant, are made, in-house, from scratch, from a "confidential" recipe the owner came up with, but they all use butter, real sugar, and a lot more. The batter is poured from a bowl onto a waffle iron, and then the waffle is done, it's removed from the iron, molded into the shape of a giant ice cream cone, wrapped with paper, and placed into a vertical rack, ready to fill. All of the "waffle cones" on the menu share the same cone. The recipe may be "confidential," but I tasted a whole lot of maple syrup... mmmmmm... so good! Emma went to work on the chicken tenders, which are the heart of the "Aloha OG" cone. My choice was to have my chicken deep fried, and the tenders were seasoned, breaded and deep fried to perfection. I noticed she was "multi-tasking" as the waffle fries seemed to be deep frying pretty much in synch with the chicken tenders. When the tenders were finished, she filled the pre-made waffle cone with all the goodies the "Aloha OG" as to offer, and topped it off with a miniature paper parasol to add to the stunning presentation. She timed it out so the "waffle fries" and the "Aloha OG" cone were ready at the same time, so both were hot and delicious. Last, but not the least, the cone was drizzled with Sweet Baby Ray's teriyaki sauce, and presented to me with a smile. Like the "Aloha OG," the fries were served vertically, which made for a stunning presentation. The fries weren't served in a "waffle cone" and arrived in a large paper cone. Emma asked if I wanted any sauce for my fries, as I requested "Ranch" but I was also rewarded with "Cluck N Sauce," a proprietary sauce that is so similar to "Thousand Island Dressing" that I couldn't tell the difference. Both sauces were served in small plastic cups and proved to be super-delicious. I must admit that I've never enjoyed a chicken "waffle cone" during my countless Placer County dining experiences, or any other restaurant that I've ever visited. Cluck N Cone has definitely carved out a "niche" on Eureka Road, in Roseville, and maybe all of northern California. My "Aloha OG" cone was like nothing I've ever even imagined or seen... with every bite I could taste all of the amazing flavors mingling together to make for an amazing dining experience. Wow! "Waffle Fries" arrived in a large, paper cone, and vertical, which made for easy eating and a stunning presentation. The "Ranch" and house-made "Cluck N Sauce" made for fantastic dipping. You can't go wrong with these fries as they're the best you'll ever enjoy! Lauren and her staff are as friendly as it gets, and their cuisine is both unique and delicious! The Restaurant was clean and decor was thought out following the theme of restaurants and name. The Nashville Hot Cone had great favor but it didn't have that Nashville heat . The Hot Honey Cone was delicious and tasteful, The BBQ Dream Cone was delicious but all the Mac &Cheese was at the bottom , The Buffalo Crimson and Coward Cone was also good . All the items inside the cone by their self has good favor and taste the big issue is to get the wow factor in one bite enjoying all those delightful favors mixed together in each bite while still in The Cone. My personal recommendation is don't use a folk eat it in the cone like a ice cream it maybe a little messy but it all blends well together the cone goes well with everything. Also the customer service from their staff was awesome. I am so mad because the young lady that was the cashier was on point .
