At highway speeds, downshifting from 5th into 2nd gear can blow up your engine. Jeeps don't like 8000 RPM. They had my car for the day, and couldn't reproduce the issue in the .5 miles they drove on my car, then he called me on the phone at 3 pm and tried to tell me I don't know how to shift the car I've owned for 10 years. I told them fine, I'll come get it. I get there 60 minutes later, an hour before they close, and the doors are locked. They left early. They knew I was coming. They could have called, but didn't. Said they had an emergency. That was a lie... they answered their phone after hours with no emergency in their voice. You could see them inside. Tge Open neon sign facing Iceanside blvd was still lit. They just wanted to mess with me. They had my number. They could have told me they "had an emergency". Instead... I spent $15 in an uber getting from work to their shop after they called me, and told me I could come pick it up. Then I had to spend $25 to uber home after finding that out. Then I had to uber back in the morning for another $25. This place should be razed. They are totally worthless. I can prove every bit of this review. It will not be taken down. I was referred to them by Accurate Alignment who is awesome. I am also letting them know they should re-think their recommendation.

I was pleased by their location. It was the most convenient of all in my area. The 2 stars I'm submitting is solely based on the 2 pluses I personally encountered. The initial contact I had with the shop via telephone was with an actual person whom answered the call; it wasn't an automated recording, making the customer feel the shop offers a more personalized service. The owner's involvement and attempt to make things right after lack of communication and untruths holds the value of the second Star. I scheduled my appointment with Bob for 830 am the following morning. I arrived on time and communicated the maintenance services I was hoping the shop could and would perform. Bob and I discussed the services and he provided me with an estimate focusing primarily (75%) on labor with an understanding there would be additional charges for parts that would be communicated later. I was not aware the cost of parts would NOT be presented to me until I picked up my truck and I was presented the final bill for the services performed on my truck. Bob told me at the time of drop off I would receive a phone call for the cost of parts (fluids) which I never did. The maintenance estimate for my truck was for 4 1/2 hours of labor. I left the shop at 9am after explaining I had to walk to and from my home (2 1/2 miles one way) for drop off and pick up and should any additional work or parts be necessary I would need to be called by 4 pm in order to arrive promptly by the time the shop closed to pick up my truck (5pm). Because I did not receive any calls by the agreed upon time of 4pm I started to walk to pick up my truck. While walking to the shop I received a phone call at 421 pm but due to the urgency to meet a timeframe and because I didn't recognize the phone number I did not stop to answer the call. I later learned it was Bob. When I arrived at the shop at 440 I was surprised to learn my truck was not ready for pick up. I was informed they weren't even halfway done with it ? Which meant only 2 of the 4 1/2 hours were completed. Bob told me he left a message that my truck was not completed and it would need to stay overnight, but in fact the message did not say that. Not that it matters at this point but his message only said he had some information about my truck and it was obvious they were going to hold it over til the following day. No mention of not being finished which could have meant because I was unreachable or because Bob thought I wouldn't make it to them on time they would hold it over. If my truck was not even halfway done by the time I arrived to pick it up at 440 I'm finding it hard to believe that no one knew before the voicemail Bob left for me at 421 that my truck would not be finished by closing. Basic math tells me otherwise. Leaving me with many unanswered questions that will never get answered. Perhaps I'm guilty of comparing "owners" "shop managers" "service writers" and "technicians" to my husband and son and I hold them accountable to similar work ethics. The buck stops with the business owner. To excuse yourself from the lack of communication and staff professionalism is wrong. Employees should be trained that every customer deserves the same time and treatment. My family and I appreciate the "discount" and the comp tire rotation. Unfortunately our final bill was still far more than discussed but will accept it as a learning experience and will demand prices for ALL parts And Labor be communicated by other shops prior to signing any agreement. Thank you Jason for offering a car rental but that wouldn't have done us any good if I needed to transport my husband in the 26 hours you had possession of my truck for 4 1/2 hours of labor. My truck isn't just a vehicle that can get me from point A to point B like any other vehicle. This truck is custom tailored for my husband's now disabilities and needs. It transports him, his motorized wheelchair and hoyer lift to and from places. I also appreciate the offer of a "ride" but that didn't make up for my time my energy and my trust and faith I lost in your shop. My hopes are to educate Any future customers They should definitely ask for a detailed cost estimate including labor AND all parts as to avoid any shock in any additional charges to their bill and hold the shop more accountable to communication. I brought in my 2006 Mini Cooper after a battery swap left me with a dreaded P1656 "EWS Wrong Code" (immobilizer sync issue) that had the car completely immobilized. Joey and Jordan were absolute pros. They knew exactly how to handle the DME-EWS resync and got the computer communication sorted quickly. While it was there, they also handled a CV axle replacement and a much-needed transmission fluid drain and fill. The car is now running like butter. It's hard to find a shop in Vista that is this knowledgeable with Mini electrical quirks and honest with their mechanical work.
