I'm disabled in a wheelchair and so is my uncle who has a lot of pain and then tom comes over and says you have too much stuff and what everything's not packed up yet when he is the one that is supposed to be getting paid to do the packing he didn't lift a finger and all he did was send one lady over to help me just one person for a three bedroom apartment and they are supposed to be the ones getting paid to do the packing so I tell him stop yelling at me when he came back to pick up his friend or employee and then he said and told her come on let's go out of here so other words he just quit all because I just stuck up for myself. You do not treat people like that you are being hired to do a job it don't matter who's paying for it. You still need to act professional and you did not. not to mention you're very expensive for somebody who's been doing this for years you sure did act like a big you know what and I'm too much of a lady to tell you what you were acting like. you made me cry you made me feel low. You are so selfish. You don't care about other people and how you treat other people. I owe a great deal to Tom Anderson and Clutterboy. I live out of state and was responsible for clearing a property after a death in the family. There was a lot of stuff -- I did not know where to start. Tom set me up with a simple sorting system. That sort took two days where I labeled the house contents as "keep" or "bye bye." Tom's team wrapped and stored items to be kept. From that point on Tom shredded, donated or disposed of the remainder. (Had any sellable items remained, Tom could have arranged for that as well.) Took it upon himself to open sealed boxes didtinctly marked with my name and go through them. Supposed to move everythjng into storage, finally given access to storage and not one piece of valuable furniture is in the storage unit. Worst of all, my parents ashes have been thrown into the dump by this person. He entered my property illegally after i had started moving remaining items during the houses escrow and no sign of these things now storage. Tell me where my antique mid century tufted white couch is? How about my mint green highback wing chair or my antique coffee table, the one with the gold fillagree inlay? How about my mothers christmas ceramics? My sewing machines and sergers? My carpet cleaned? My mothers jewelry? My mom and dads ashes? Addendum: this company came back to my house during escrow while i was removing some of the remaining items that i had stored in the garage. After I left for the day, I was informed that they showed up and removed the rest of the items including brand new expensive carpet cleaner, serger, my mother's hand painted Christmas ceramics, expensive plates, an antique couch, antique wingback chair, stage costumes that were hand made and on loan from the costume designer that totaled approximately 25thousand dollars that i had to pay back. I was told that they were put into the storage unit, but no one involved with the trust states that they had given him the direction. This is ontop of finding other peoples financial statements, investment account paperwork and other personal documents that were left behind. We found ads that showed pieces of the Berlin wall and medals from the east german army that we were gifted by relatives that were a part of it coming down. None of that property is in the storage units along with a lot of the other property from the initial clean out of the house. Where exactly are my possessions, Tom? Needless to say, I have been forced to hire an attorney to go after this company for grand theft. read more

After 20 years of putting stuff in the basement "to deal with later," we were starting to get lost down there. Enter Clutterboy, my new favorite superhero. He emptied the contents of the basement into the driveway, including the shelving units. As the basement was emptied, we sorted the items into piles to donate (huge), keep (moderate) and trash (tiny). He washed the shelves, swept the basement, and then put items from the "keep" pile back in the basement in an organized fashion. I moved from Palo Alto to Redwood City. I needed to downsize. I found Tom through a friend who is a member of Avenidas Village at the Palo Alto senior center. He offers a discount rate for seniors. He came for a free consultation and described his services for me. Before I actually hired him to do some work, I consulted him via email and phone, asking about some of the topics that we had discussed. Several days after our initial interaction, he called to check up on my progress. Ultimately, I hired him to clean out what was left in my garage after my garage sale. This included shelf units, books, old cassette tapes, miscellaneous kitchen stuff, etc. He and his strong young assistant did a great job of getting rid of the stuff and sweeping out the garage. I had a brief encounter with Tom when I was helping my mother in law get her place ready to sell in Santa Clara. He was referred by my mil's real estate agent. Tom was rude, arrogant and a complete and a total flake. He charges more per hour more than a high end electrician to come over and help people throw stuff out($100 an hour). He acted like telling some old lady to throw stuff out in a rude and dismissive manner was the work of some "genius miracle worker". When he took some of my mil's stuff to donate, he promised to bring her back receipts and never came back or returned any calls. He sent over this very nice, hard working guy named Angel to help her pack up some of her kitchen stuff for an hour or so but, never called back when I left him a message inquiring about the above said receipts or if he carried any workman's compensation insurance for any of his supposed employees. So, I'll assume Angel is working under the table and if he does get injured while working on your property, you could be financially liable. I would recommend that you if you need help clearing some stuff out, there are plenty of professional organizers out there that would do a better job. If you do fall for Tom's line of B.S., I highly recommend that you at least have him provide proof of workman's compensation insurance before he sends anybody over to your house to do any sort of work. read more
