This is the second time we've used All Reasons to help us--obviously they did such a great job the first time we knew immediately who we'd have do our move the second time. Our first move with All Reasons was back in 2020. We were living in a third story walk up apartment and doing an "in town" move. They took such care with all of our item--making sure to wrap our furniture for the short transport. Plus they were FAST. Even with all those flights of stairs! Our next "move" was into storage. After living in our house for 5 years, it was time for a remodel. Called All Reasons once again and arranged the move out and storage. Once again we got the high quality work the team is known for. They again carefully disassembled and wrapped all of our furniture. Labeled and inventoried everything. Then whisked it away to their climate controlled storage for all the months we needed it stored while our house was a construction zone. Upon moving back in they prepped my house for their traffic, putting down protective sheets. Carefully brought everything in and reassembled our furniture. They even moved our very heavy glass shower door that was still waiting to be installed to make sure there was ample room to bring our stuff in. I hope to not move for a very very very long time--however, I know exactly who to call if I do. Highly Recommend All Reasons Moving! From start to finish, All Reasons Moving was incredibly helpful and flexible, especially with our need to work around an infant and preschool students during the move. Tom dropped off boxes ahead of time, helping us prepare for the big transition. The moving trucks were spotless, and the movers looked and acted professionally throughout. They were always on the move and extremely careful, even as we continued operating during the move. They even took a moment to wave hello to the kids and show them their equipment, which was a sweet touch! Our move was done in two phases, and the team--Josh, Chris, Lucas, LJ, and Daniel--handled everything so well. The process had its challenges since not everything was moving, and I had color-coded everything to guide them on what was staying, what was moving, and what needed to be taken to the dump. Despite that complexity, the movers followed my directions perfectly. The unloading process wasn't ideal because our driveway was under construction, with contractors' vehicles everywhere, but the movers adjusted to the construction zone like pros. They placed boxes in the correct rooms according to their labels and even set up furniture exactly as I wanted--inside and outside. I thought I was well-prepared, but there were more last-minute items than expected. Thankfully, the movers had a "speedy box" ready to gather everything up quickly. I can't express enough gratitude! We bought them lunch and smoothies, but on a record-breaking heat day, that didn't seem like enough, so we made sure to include a generous cash tip as well. All Reasons moved us from Milpitas to Chico. They were very careful and after unpacking the last box, nothing was broken or damaged and that is amazing. They were careful with our things, They were flexible and very helpful when it came to self-packing versus packing up things for us. We packed some things ourselves, but they did a much better job than us for the rest of it, especially the dishes. You can tell they have done this before. The value in having a professional mover is underrated. These guys know what they are doing. They packed up the truck and moved our stuff to Chico, and unloaded the next day. I used All Reasons Moving in April 2024. I had gone through a divorce, and movers were required to move three pieces of furniture from 95033 to 95032, approximately 15 miles away. The company was already scheduled to move my ex from the house, and he was taking 90% of the items from the five-bedroom home, including multiple rooms of heavy furniture and about 100+ boxes, and also moving about 15 minutes away. The move was already scheduled on his part, but I did not find out when I needed to vacate with the few pieces of furniture until a few days before. The communication was excellent from the company, and they even picked up one other piece that my ex had not disclosed and had left in the property. It would have been great had the moving company asked me about the left single piece of furniture left in a bedroom, as they had spent all day there before. The moving company split the entire cost of the move of about ~$3500 across the two of us, rather than having me pay for just my three pieces of furniture (or the time to move these). The company's service was excellent in general, but in my opinion, I should have only been charged for moving the pieces or the time to move them, not for the whole half. The crew was there all day for his move but only an hour or two for mine. I understand there is a minimum time for booking. read more

Over 33 years of moves across the country and locally, our experience the past few months with All Reasons Moving has been the best! We used them to pack and move our stuff into storage when we sold our house in Saratoga, then a few months later asked them to take our stuff out of their storage facility and unpack it in our new home in Los Gatos. Both times the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, smart about advising each step of the way. They lost nothing, they broke nothing, and they gave us the feeling of friends coming by to help us move and unpack. Truly extraordinary especially given the repeated experiences we've had in the past of surly, sloppy, arrogant and plain incompetent movers who have typically lost and broken items. I think what sets All Reasons apart from other movers is that they are family owned and staffed. The team are almost entirely relatives and they clearly care about making their medium sized business succeed. (Not surprisingly they have been in strong demand.). They twisted themselves into knots to squeeze us in when UHaul totally backed out of our planned move with days to go before we were contractually bound to leave the house we were selling, and then accommodated our changing schedule of moving into our Los Gatos house a few months later. My wife and I would give a 10 out of 10 to All Reasons and totally recommend them to others! read more

I am not sure even where to start with our move experience. We have moved frequently (usually about every 3 years), and this is by far the worst move experience we have ever gone through. We moved across country and hired All Reasons to manage our move. They were referred to us by an acquaintance and were by far the most expensive of our options, but we were concerned about the quality of our move and so followed the old adage that "you get what you pay for." Unfortunately, that is not how this experience worked out at all. I will have to abbreviate a bit to not exceed the character limit for this post. - Poor communications: The person I was directed to contact with questions could never provide answers and had to check with someone else. Emails were either not responded to at all or would take days to receive a response. Note: We had to move in a short period of time due to selling our house very quickly, so we didn't have the luxury of waiting days for responses. - Grossly over-estimated: Weight was estimated at 12,000 lbs., but was only 9,000 lbs., and storage was estimated at 11 vaults when it took only 7 vaults. - Delivery window of July 1-July 10 was provided: On July 9 when we had not received a specific delivery date, we contacted them and were told they "hoped" to deliver to us by July 13. On July 15, they contacted us again to say that they were projecting delivery on July 17. On July 16, they contacted us again to let us know they were charging our credit card. No less than an hour after that call, we received a call from Wheaton (the company they used to complete our cross-country move) to inform us that the moving truck/trailer had been broken into and that some of our items "may" have been stolen. The break-in occurred while the truck was still in CA so it had occurred days earlier, but they did not inform us until the day before delivery. - Many items stolen and/or damaged: Irreplicable family heirlooms were stolen. A brand-new office desk and dining room chairs were damaged even though they wrapped by All Reasons. Our "high value" items/boxes were clearly marked and All Reasons assured us that they would receive special care and tracking. However, most of those items was also stolen and the few that were not stolen were just mixed in with all of the other boxes. - Bed assembly: We paid extra to have our bed assembled on the day of delivery. The assemblers did not come until the next day and then did not put the bed together properly. Also, parts were missing even though All Reasons disassembled the bed and packaged the parts. We had to pay for Sleep Number to come out to correctly assemble the bed. When we contacted All Reason about the situation, all they had to say was "it was unfortunate." We only ever heard from the lower-tier employee who was the same one who couldn't answer any of our questions when preparing for the move. Neither the project manager, the owner, or anyone at a higher level in the company bothered to follow-up and apologize for what had occurred and what we had been through. This was a very disappointing experience, and it is "unfortunate" that we chose poorly in picking this company. In this case, we definitely did not get what we paid for. We recently moved in September and we had accidentally booked a broker instead of an actual moving company and we were in such distress just days before we moved. I contacted all reasons moving and they had an availability for the Friday we wanted which was only five days away. They arrived on time, and they immediately went to packing my home very professionally and carefully, and moved us from the East Bay to the Sacramento area in one day and unloaded and put everything where it belonged. Who thought we would be moving in the midst of a pandemic?! And a HEAT WAVE, about 102F that day. But, life goes on. The office team was very thorough and explained everything. I had read through the reviews before I called them, so was sure to ask about how they charged and about any additional costs. They were very forthcoming with all of the information. They sent the paperwork ahead and everything was spelled out. Office staff was on top of everything. Moving Day: We had 3 guys, Abe was the lead. We did our own packing, so we hired them for just the move...but it was a complicated move. We moved from a 1 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom condo. BUT, there were 3 households merged into that 1 bedroom, PLUS, we had them stop at our storage unit on the way to the new place to pick up additional furnishings and boxes. We actually have 2 storage units - both in the same facility, but on different floors. Yep. These guys worked their butts off! They arrived on time, were careful of being too close for the physical distancing, they had masks and were very gracious about ALL of our STUFF! They never complained, but I could see them look at each other...in disbelief perhaps! In the end, it took nearly all day, they never slowed down, took a couple of short breaks (did I mention we moved August 19, the middle of a heat wave) for water, and kept on going like energizer bunnies. Very pleasant guys. Everything arrived, everything put in it's place, beds set up, mirror replaced on dresser, etc. Nothing broken. All in all, a great experience. Excellent moving company. The movers are fast, efficient and personable. We lived in our house for 36 years so had lots of things to move. Here are a few keys to my successful move. Pre-prep to move: Got wardrobe boxes from Uhaul & file boxes from Office Depot. Packed hanging clothes, book cases etc. Threw stuff out. Day before the move: Had All Reasons movers pack all fragile items, pictures, mirrors and the kitchen. They 100% prepared the house for the move. Extremely fast workers. I put orange and green stickers indicating items for the house and items for the garage. Put non essential items in the garage on a temporary basis. Day of the move: Leaving took only 2 hours, 8 - 10 AM Unpacking took about 2 to 3 hours, All Reasons movers too great care to not damage things by taking off doors, created temporary ramps and covered entry way floors to prevent dirt & damage. All Reasons did a thorough job helping my family relocate from a townhouse to single family home in opposite ends of San Jose. The team showed up on time with four movers and two trucks, and quickly went to moving our prepacked items, which included an awkwardly large and heavy home gym setup in my garage. All Reasons was substantially better than any prior movers I have hired in the Bay Area, and the only thing preventing me from rating a full 5/5 is that several of my items (e.g., computer monitor, TV, gym equipment) became scratched or nicked in the moving process, and are clearly no longer in like-new condition. After hearing all sorts of horror stories from friends about their moving experiences, I was quite concerned about who to hire for our recent move. I did my typical due diligence online by reading reviews, asking for recommendations on NextDoor and created a short list of options. All Reasons did not come in the cheapest, but they definitely instilled the highest amount of confidence, from being super organized, easy to get a hold of and processes and documentation all automated and in place. On moving day, they did not disappoint. They showed up early, and were just a force of nature when it came to loading the truck. I got stuck on a work call unexpectedly, but they were so self-sufficient. The crew was so friendly and so kind to my family as well - they were even super patient with my 3 year old who was adamant about loading her things into the truck herself. I also really appreciated that they covered up doors and corners in entryways to prevent things from getting damaged. Moving is stressful enough as it is - the last thing you need to worry about is getting what you paid for out of a mover.
